PGAL check-in... New Numbers!

Hey all,

My midwife called this morning with my 6wk labs. My hcg was 71,000 (high for 6wks) and progesterone was 14 (she wanted above 10).

I'm excited! I'm so reassured by high numbers! I just hope they keep going up...will go for a draw again today to see.

Did you all have this much reassurance from early labs? Am I too focused on these numbers?

And now I'm freaking myself out again.

I had another blood draw. That Friday draw showed 71,000. My Monday draw was 94,000. I'm so scared that it's not rising enough...eating more normally which gives me a bad feeling (only 7wks along) but still emotions can be! I just start worrying and crying! Hope that's hormones not just PGAL brain.

Midwife signed off on the numbers so I guess she's not worried but I won't see her for two weeks. Next visit is my 9wk US and I'm still terrified.

I'm sorry your PGAL brain is stressing you out - after a certain point betas take up to 96 hours to double and then they start to plateau until they decrease as the placenta takes over - if your midwife isn't concerned I would consider that a good sign. Hang in there!

Still waiting for latest blood work... midwife was kind enough to order a draw last Friday so hopefully I'll hear soon. Praying for Big numbers!

Now I'm 7w4d and Today has been hard. I've been feeling really moist (if ya know what I mean) and it's bothering me so much!!! I just assume I'm bleeding or about to! Last night I had a vivid nightmare that I was miscarrying again and woke up feeling damp with my legs snapped shut! My DH comforted me and I was able to sleep but all day I've been on edge...add to it a crampy, weird feeling at the bottom of my abdomen (probably gas) and I'm a wreck. I didn't feel flutters last time when everyone said I should... Is that what I'm feeling?

Anyone else have this problem?! I can't shake this spirit of worry and fear...

Hi - I HATE dreams where I dream I am bleeding - I have had a few. What you described with your legs feeling damp but shut is similar to what happened to me a few weeks ago - I think it was just sweat - I sweat a lot more in my sleep now. It's too early for flutters if you are 7 weeks but what you are describing can for sure just be your uterus growing and stretching. These first few weeks are just slow torture - hang in there! We are all rooting for you!

Thank you @ceclarlinetlo I know I'm just sweaty and hormonal! Last night had strange dreams but not nightmares... And last time I didn't have any cramping or really sensations in my uterus so I'm taking that a good sign that it's growing.

Just over one week until the big, scary US!

I just keep telling myself "no matter what happened 'last time', I will NOT rob THIS child of JOY!"

I got my new numbers today! So in my 6th week I had a Friday at 71, and a Monday at 94. This draw was in week 7 on Friday and it was 117. I'm so glad things are still going up, my nerves were thin this past week (obviously, you see my rants).

My question is, that pattern seems more like 7-8 weeks not 6-7... Like it's leveling off. Could I be farther along than I think? Is that a possibility? Or are they just slowing down because they don't want to fit a chart? Could it be a sign of something wrong? I know y'all can't answer that but ahead of my big scary US next week I'm thinking these thing...

If you don't know for sure when you ovulated you for sure could be further along than you expect. This is an hcg chart that came with my beta results back when I had it done and 100k is still in the normal range for 7 weeks. these early weeks before the ultrasound are just agonizing. Hang in there mama!

Here is the chart I've been looking at... it's not so much the numbers as the trend. I'm pretty close to the curve for the 50th percentile at 7-8 wks. I'm not sure, midwife thinks I could be farther than I think but we'll know for sure next week at the big scary US. Thanks for letting me rant here until then

Were you temping because if not, then you don't know when you ovulated and you could be farther along then you think. I'd say that your numbers seem good and now you have to wait until your ultrasound. The days feel like they drag on but remember your numbers are great so try to remember that when your PGAL brain kicks in!! Congrats!

@susykat77 I was temping but time was inconsistent so I'm not too confident...actually my temp spiked when I was due for my period and that's why I tested so early

I just had my betas done yesterday. Almost 4,000. Is that ok if I was 5 weeks and 3 days? Progesterone was 13.5.
