I started eating a cup of special k fiber enriched cereal every morning before I even get out of bed (dry, as dairy makes me sick) and I haven't had any problems since then. I don't know if it'll help anybody else, but it's been a total godsend for me
Fiber one bars! Although during one particularly bad bout, I ate 2 bars and an apple one afternoon. Problem resolved quickly, but rather emergently. Totally worth it. I have a stash in my pantry and if I go one day with a poop, I'll eat one in the morning and its all set by afternoon. The brownies and chocolate pretzel ones are delicious.
Apples are full of fiber and they help clean your teeth haha:) also lots of walking and some stretching should get your insides moving.
Yup! I definitely poop better on the days when I've walked a lot. And I'm eating an apple as I write this. (With peanut butter, which you would think would not be appetizing with all this poop talk, but I'm somehow totally fine with it.)

Yes it's awful! And the zofran makes it even worse. I had a poop the other day that was worse than my unmedicated child birth! I just got some colace to try though
The struggle is real! Bran cereal has worked the best for me so far. My doctor recommended potassium or Colace. I'm probably going to try one of those.
I will be trying all of this x3! All I drink is water, and I'm pretty active (although lately being active is a HUGE chore) so I need something a little more and these are great ideas!!!
I started eating kiwi and dried apricots after Metamucil and more water wasn't helping. Then all of the sudden tonight, yikes!!! Just a warning that sometimes all the fiber finally does its job and goes too far. I'm not sure which is worse!
If you're nervous about taking any stool softeners or can't stomach a diet change, one thing that has really helped me is the purchase of a Squatty Potty stool (everyone laugh now...) Basically it is a stool that wraps around the bottom of your toilet so when you sit, you prop your feet up on it and it gives you a more 'natural' squatting position on the toilet, the way our bodies are designed to poop (think, our old ancestors squatting in the woods, etc) It sounds funny, and slightly ridiculous, but after a good week of adjusting, it all comes out SO much easier because your colon is straightened out! My SIL always had extreme hemorrhoids pre and post pregnancy, and this has really helped her too! I swear by it... check out amazon and message me if you want more details!
+1 for the squatty potty. I was on vacation last week and the toilet in our bedroom was too tall for me. I was stacking dictionaries on the floor to get myself into the right position. My husband saw me putting them away at the end of the week, and when I explained to him what they were for, he about died laughing. Do not care. Next time I'm traveling with my squatty potty.
I saw the Shark Tank episode with the squatty potty - I love that so many people use it!
i have started eating wheat Chex cereal every morning and it has helped keep me regular, avoid diarrhea (I think I have been extra sensitive to lactose this pregnancy) and has helped with my nausea by keeping me full longer in the mornings. I just made DH go get me two more boxes because I am terrified of running out while he is out of town for the next two days.
Re: Poop!
Ofcourse you read a lot about fiber rich foods, fruits and veggies, be active, drink water... Phooey. Hasn't worked for me. Lol

If that doesn't work, vitamin C will!
