Re: 7/11 PGAL Check In
Status Update: 38w2d
What's Next: just the waiting game! I'll see my midwife next Monday if he doesn't make his appearance before then (we are praying he will! Mama is miserable!)
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I hurt EVERYWHERE. My hips and pelvis are ridiculous and averaging three hours of sleep at night is taking its toll!
GTKY: I cannot wait to watch this little guy take his first steps!
Status Update: 38w3d
What's Next: just found out I'm getting induced Thursday night! I had another growth scan and baby is still big. My fluid levels are a little lower than two weeks ago too so doctor has decided to move up my induction date. Freaking out!!! I am really scared now.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: insomnia is out of control. Also hurting everywhere. Bedtime is so painful- carpel tunnel, sore hips, my vag is still about to fall off.
GTKY: what milestone are you most excited to witness this child going through- so excited for baby's first words/first steps for sure.

One month appointment on August 1
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
Peter is eating like a champ and starting to feel quite a bit heavier after losing a bit in the first few days. He is just the calmest sweetest little guy! We just had our newborn pictures done today and it was so fun. I'm getting over a case of mastitis and a bad UTI that I think I picked up at the hospital, but overall I am starting to feel more like myself everyday.
GTKY: what milestone are you most excited to witness this child going through?
Everything? I can't even choose, I'm so excited to watch this kid grow. But I am looking forward to him starting to sit up and purposely interact with things. Oh and laughing!!! I can't wait to hear his laugh.

What's Next: Appoinments/ Milestones, Etc.
We had our two week check up today and our one month on August 1st.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
We found out Milo is back above his birth weight today which I could not have been more relieved about! I've just had this feeling something would be wrong and so far everything has been perfect. I guess sometimes it's still hard to accept that he's here and he's mine and he's healthy and that I don't have to hold my breath forever. He's just the most perfect thing in the world.
GTKY: what milestone are you most excited to witness this child going through?
Seriously everything! I can't wait for him to laugh!
Status Update: Weeks+Days - 38 weeks!!!! 2 more weeks to go!

What's Next: Appoinments/ Milestones, Etc. My next appt is on Friday! They will check fluid levels and make sure she is still headed towards the light and hasn't flipped back. They called me yesterday to schedule my induction. They are not letting me go past my due date. If she doesn't come before my due date I am going in 7/27 at 7:30p.m. I cried when I got that phone call and scheduled it! Its really happening!!!! I am just too excited!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I am just READY! I am achy and sore. Pelvic and hip pains still and still tons of swelling. The only knew symptom I can think of is pressure down below now that she has flipped. I absolutely love seeing all these precious rainbow babies. Ready for mine to join the party!
GTKY: what milestone are you most excited to witness this child going through? This is such a great GTKY question! Everything! I can't wait to see her laugh/giggle for the first time. I love baby laughs!

What's Next: Regular doctor appointment on Monday
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I'm not even sure at this point. My mom is in the hospital and in order to cope with that I'm just numb. I feel like a terrible mother because when I'm stressed LO is significantly less active. I feel like my emotional state is impacting him directly and that sucks. Mom guilt has started already.
GTKY: what milestone are you most excited to witness this child going through? First words I think.

@Lynna813 the end is in sight! It's nice to have a date set.
Whats next: We go home tonight at 8pm!
Rants/raves/symptoms: He is just perfect. Our little chunky monkey is just so beautiful. There have been a lot of happy tears. Yesterday when I was having one of those moments my husband said "Think of all the sad tears, frustrated tears, grief tears, angry tears that have led to these happy ones. Could there possibly be a boy more worth the wait?" And I fully lost it. So very in love.
GTKY: I will start with smile but really I just can't wait to see what an adventure he will be

@Lynna813 awesome!

Next appt is on my due date! Had one on Wed and am 1.5cm dilated and 50% effaced, so I'm hopeful that my cervix will do its thing when it's time.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
Had to go in to L&D yesterday because of decreased movement so DH and I were freaking out. Of course, as soon as I got there she kicked me and luckily everything looked great. As far as symptoms, she feels like she's getting lower and lower every day! Enjoying the breathing room but my poor bladder. Overall I want her to cook as long as she needs but damn I'm ready for her to vacate.
Rave is that the nursery is finally painted and has floors down (we just moved). Excited to start putting clothes away and setting everything up.
GTKY: what milestone are you most excited to witness this child going through?
I'm with most of you...can't wait until she starts laughing/interacting.
SO, I haven't updated it in the main thread yet, but hopefully I will get it up there soon!
Sharing with you ladies was where I wanted to start)
Our rainbow is here!!!
Lincoln Ray Echo was born 7/9 @ 8:23pm!
We had a calm, peaceful, med and intervention free labor and birth. With the exception of tearing and a little trouble latching in the first 24, the peacefulness has continued at home.

What's Next: Appoinments/ Milestones, Etc.
Nothing this week
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
He is such a cuddle bug! He loves nothing more than to be curled into a ball on your chest or hold your fingers.
His cord came off but there is still a little piece in the middle inside, and if it gets irritated it bleeds a little (just realized that) so now I have to figure out who to call/what to do about that
GTKY: what milestone are you most excited to witness this child going through?
Picking just one is so hard! Him being more interactive and laughing definitely are top things.
Edit bc bump ate my post
We had the same thing happen with our LO's umbilical cord... The doc just told us to wait for the additional piece to come off as well... It's still healing and it seems to be taking a long time so I would love to know if you get any other recommendations from your people...
Since it's already Sunday I'll wait until tomorrow to check in, but I am looking forward to this little lady's next milestone which is to give us her first real smile (she's 6 weeks now, it could be soon!). Yesterday she seemed to have rolled over on her own on her activity mat but that seems way to early so now I'm wondering if our floors are crooked or something hahaha... Or we may have a gymnast on our hands...
