6 years ago life was not ready for us to have a child of our own and we opted for an open adoption where we chose the family and they chose us. We visit every 6 months, once in the summer and once around his birthday. I have had the heartache, the joy, the doubts, and the satisfaction of committing to the best decision for us. I offer you all of my knowledge and honesty though any troubles you may have in being any part of this possible or imminent situation.

Birth mother here too! Actually pregnant again. Our situation was similar, but we have the most amazing relationship with them all and it's the best thing I could really have ever imagined.
