So I asked this in the 2nd time mom thread but some people don't use that,... What are you registering for for your baby if you already have kids. We plan do use most of DD stuff but I know we'll need to rebuy some,... I'd like to register so we can get the discount for registries,.... But I'd also like to plan for any expenses,.... I know this probably sounds dumb haha! I just really want to start getting prepared even though I'm only 12 weeks!
Re: Registering for subsequent pregnancies,...
DD will be 18 months when this baby comes so she is still using her car seat and crib.
So on our registry for now we have
-a new crib + mattress + bedding
-dresser
-pacifiers
-breast pump accessories
-a second pack n play because we travel a lot
I'm still trying to decide on a second diaper genie or a double stroller. We'll need boy clothes and blankets if this baby is a boy and maybe girl clothes too for a girl since DD was a July baby so seasonal stuff might have to be bought.
Our high chair, bouncer, swing, play mat, etc are all still in good shape and are gender neutral so we won't/shouldn't need new ones of those.
ETA: I don't think it's dumb to start thinking about this at 12 weeks or building a registry so you can take advantage of discounts and coupons as they come in. I'm a huge planner and if I waited until after a shower or until I was further along my nesting would have been out of control neurotic.

DS2 - 12/31/2008
DS3 - 06/26/2012
DS4 - 08/07/2014
We will be needing a double stroller and a second monitor. I'm also considering a swing. Simple things like pacifiers, new pump parts...
-extra bottles
-replacement nipples & pieces (Dr. Brown bottles)
-new blankets (son still uses his)
-convertible car seat
-bibs
-Sit stand stroller
It's a shopping list for us but I know that family and close friends may want to shop from it so I figure it'll help them to know what we need/want.
I started my registry with my so. when I was 12 weeks pregnant. I hadn't told people I was pregnant yet, but it was good to get started and I was able to research big ticket items.
We need:
-new swing
-car seats (because the infant seats we have expire in March. Of course.)
-a sit-and-stand stroller
-new nipples/parts for bottles and breast pump
-crib sheets
-changing pad covers
-decor for nursery (hamper, mobile, wall art etc)
-baby book for me to fill out intermittently
-birth through one year picture frame (we have one for our son so I want to make things as 'equal' as possible)
-new clothes, especially in the event of a girl
-new baby meds (gripe water, fever reducer, teething tabs etc) and toiletries (shampoo, desitin and so on)

This is the one we got https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012W533PO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It's called Gooloo Goocam. You can talk through it. The directions for use were not great and there has been a lot of trial and error for us. In all honesty, I'm not a huge fan of the audio part of this so we actually have a cheap audio monitor that we use overnight while sleeping. We got the audio monitor shortly after my son was born because the Motorola baby monitor we bought the app didn't work on our phones and we returned it. We were good with the audio monitor but occasionally wanted to be able to look at him so eventually we found this and the price was right. I think we paid $99 for it and I see today it's $59 on amazon.
