What size is baby? Baby is longer, but now weighs about the same as my guinea pig! [Side note: isn't it disappointing when you get a repeat vegetable depending on the ticker? Like I know I finished cauliflower week, but one of my apps said cauliflower this week.]
How are you feeling? Tired! I just really don't want to do things, but of course there are so very many things that need doing.
Upcoming appointments? Next week is my glucose test, TDAP, don't know if there's anything else. I have several concerns to ask the doctor about, too. After my 28-week, I have a 32-week, and then I move to every two weeks. I'll actually be relieved, I think, to see the doctor more frequently.
Rants/Raves/Questions: [TW - weight] I actually somehow gained 5-6 pounds in the past week. I'm not sure what happened there, since I haven't been eating differently than usual. I am not sure if it is poop-related because I did wait until after I pooped today, but it was one of those disappointing ones (you can't tell me that was 2-3 days' worth!) I'm hoping I can go more today and re-weigh myself and get a better weight. One of my legs has been swelling a bit, but I've been checking my blood pressure at home and it has stayed nice and low overall. This is also somewhat traumatic for me since I am now over my previous highest weight.
GTKY: What is your least favorite chore to do? Dishes! Dread of dishes can ruin everything for me. I'm so glad my husband has taken over this chore. I don't even mind cooking as much if I don't have to do the dishes. I am so thankful for my marriage because it means dirty dishes I leave in the sink magically appear clean in the dishwasher. (To be fair, my husband gets magic too - like magic meals appear in front of him every night. Marriage is awesome!)
What size is baby? Cucumber.. Anyone else find that odd? Doesn't seem very big to me.
How are you feeling? Feel good
Upcoming appointments? Today.. Called to let the doctor know I haven't felt her kick in several days and they are getting me in at 2. Kind of nervous about it.
Rants/Raves/Questions: none
GTKY: What is your least favorite chore to do? [stolen from Monday 'cause I liked it] vacuum.. I absolutely hate it!
Baby girl looks good! Apparently she just isn't very active. She passed all the tests with flying colors but the doctor and nurses keep saying I should be feeling her. Which I don't. Alls good though
What size is baby? Size of a tropical coconut. About 16 inches long and 2.5 pounds.
How are you feeling? Not great. I can handle the carpal tunnel and the ab separation, but my groin, inside of my legs or pelvic bone (no idea what it is), is killing me. Feels like I just got off from riding a horse, ha. I work as a health care aide and am on my feet a lot as well as bending. I got a Dr note saying I can't lift, so that is something I guess. I just do not know how much longer I can do this physically demanding job with the long days.
Upcoming appointments? Just took my glucose test and passed. Tomorrow I have my Rh shot.
Rants/Raves/Questions: See above. Ha. Just sore. Does anyone else have that pain in the groin region? I am assuming I am just stretching. How long are you ladies planning on working till? Also, my Dr said yesterday I should start counting kicks and make sure I feel her move at least 10 times in a 24 hour period - if not to go to the hospital. Worried a bit because I don't even know of I feel her that often. But today is the first day of counting and I prob felt her 5 or 6 times already. Just don't want to stress out too much if I don't feel her a lot. Also do not want to be running to the emergency room every second day.
GTKY: What is your least favourite chore to do? The bathrooms.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I got super tired from a target run today. DH may have to take over shopping soon. Also, I get indigestion/reflux every time I lay down.
GTKY: What is your least favorite chore to do? [stolen from Monday 'cause I liked it]. Toilets
@fitlady21 I'm glad to hear that. Not looking forward to that conversation with my doctor. I'm worried about getting fat-shamed if I can't feel her because of my fat.
@littlewillie2016 10 times in 24 hours almost sounds doable - I think I could probably do that. I've heard 10 times in 2 hours. Overall I think kick counts are disturbing and I'm not convinced that they are accurate (either that or there is something wrong with my baby - like @fitlady21 it's lazy!)
I don't want to scare anyone, but please take kick counts seriously. You know how active your baby is, if there is any change please take it seriously. We lost our second daughter at 31 weeks. I hadn't felt her move in a few hours so I went in and there was no heartbeat. But my babies have all been super active so I knew something was wrong when laying down and drinking a bunch of ice water didn't get her moving. I'm kind of crazy about feeling this baby move now.
How are you feeling? Ok... starting to feel exhausted again.
Upcoming appointments? I have my glucose test next week.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Just feeling uncomfortable, these hips are having a rough time during the night. I am trying not to complain too much, I know it is just going to get worse!
GTKY: What is your least favorite chore to do? All of them? Probably folding laundry... it seems like it takes me forever to actually do it and clothes sit in laundry baskets far too long!
Sup. Just stopping by to hey hi. Babe is 24 weeks. I feel like shit. Next appt is August 11th for a regular appt and GTT. Rant: I hate everything. Rave: a lady complimented me at the gym yesterday for taking care of myself and babe by working out. GTKY: Dishes.
How are you feeling? back is sore, baby is very active compared to baby 1, which is fun but taken some getting used to
Upcoming appointments? not til the end of the month
Rants/Raves/Questions: I have too much to do in the next 15 weeks!
GTKY: What is your least favorite chore to do? [stolen from Monday 'cause I liked it] clean out the guest room to make it a nursery (it's SO Far from being done it's scary)
@waterfall213 I'm so very sorry for your loss. [TW] My aunt had a similar experience (though I think she had two days without movement, not a few hours). In her case the baby had severe defects and could never have survived.
I'm not against kick counts at all, but I think that they need to be more clear and more flexible. If I went in for not feeling my baby for a couple hours, at this point, I'd be going in two out of three days! It *is* making me crazy, because I don't have that constant signal that everything is okay.
@RainMira9e I didn't mean to scare anyone. Some babies are really active and some are super chill. As long as you know what's normal for your baby, I think that's the important thing.
waterfall213 I really don't notice active times. I guess in the evenings when I am just sitting I feel her the most. But when I am moving I don't feel anything. I am on a stretch of doubles. I get up at 430 and work till 2 and then nap for an hour and get up for another shift then to bed. So I am so beat I don't even concentrate on feeling her, I just sleep. I should be relaxing more, but I don't. I will be going on early mat leave, so I need to get my hours in. RainMira9e Maybe my baby is lazy.

@littlewillie2016 Do you notice that baby has active times? Maybe try to focus on kick counts then. My baby is super active in the evenings.
