**I started out with energy but then my laptop took an hour to install visio with desktop at my keyboard... ahhh I tried! I have a replacement while I'm gone and I just finished the slides for my projects she'll have to cover when I'm out. I have about 7-8 weeks if I stay until due date (wt*) I can't focus and am bumping 75% of the time or forcing myself to make lists so I can stay on track! Stuff to do but I keep thinking bout baby girl!

Ready for a productive office week? Yes and no. Luckily working on a quarterly report that I enjoy compiling so it makes the days go by a bit faster.
How is everyone doing? Work plans or projects going on this week? See above, working on my program's report, doing well overall although sitting at my desk results in a lot of "oohs!" and "ouches!" as he beats up my cervix
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? about 8 weeks until my due date, expecting about the same until leave, hoping to work as close to delivery as possible
Training replacement? Not really, another pharmacist here will keep my program running while I'm gone - last time I went out on leave he basically kept it afloat while doing his normal job.. I'm pretty sure that's what he'll be tasked with again. Other states that we run are also starting up my program, so need to train some others before I leave but my boss has not set anything in stone. Time is a-ticking, buddy!
Focus any better so far? Good but only because i have a specific deliverable project I'm working on. Once that's done it'll be gone gone gone.

How is everyone doing? Work plans or projects going on this week? I have some paperwork and some meeting, but this week is only three days for me I leave Wednesday after work to go to my parents house 6 hours away for my shower this weekend

How is everyone doing? Work plans or projects going on this week? I'm doing alright I guess just taking care of monthly reports/briefings. I have just switched to a different position so I am learning the ins and outs of it so far so good.
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? Roughly 9 weeks or so
Training replacement? Nope
Focus any better so far? A little better because I know for a fact I wouldn't be doing anything if I were still at my old position.
How is everyone doing? Work plans or projects going on this week? I am involved in several different projects a day. Today I had a meeting plus regular work. I also had some online training to complete. Tomorrow I have extra to do as I'm alone in my department.
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? I plan to work up until my due date / as long as I am able to. My due date is 9/24.
Training replacement? no replacement persay. My job can be done remotely so another location will handle all of my design jobs while I'm out. Jobs will be coordinated out of my office, but my old office will handle all of the artwork while I am out...I am a little nervous about it as mistakes seem to happen whenever I am out, but I can't control what happens when I'm not there.
Focus any better so far? depends on what is going on. Most jobs I get have deadlines so I have to get stuff done, but I find myself lacking interest or being more interested in other things...but when it comes down to it, if I need to get something done, I always do.

Ready for a productive office week? I got so much done today. I felt so on top of everything it was great.
How is everyone doing? Work plans or projects going on this week? One of my students is beginning the process of transitioning to an adult day program, and it sounds like things will be easier on me than I expected.
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? I'm expecting my maternity leave would officially start around September 12th, but i happen to have the week before that off, so it is kind of like my last day before my leave will be September 2nd.
Training replacement? LOL, my maternity leave is the least of people's worries at the moment. (Our school has seven classrooms, 3 teachers are leaving this month, they have found a replacement for one, and a teaching intern from another class will be taking over another, so they still have one vacancy.) Once they get that resolved, my supervisor will probably take over my class while I am gone.
Focus any better so far? Today I focused pretty well, but I am not counting on things being like that everyday.

Focus any better so far? has to be. I work at my dad's business. He just had hip surgery 2 weeks ago. So between him being out and covering for him, being behind from July 4th holiday, training my replacement, and just my normal activities, i am pretty much tapped. oh yeah and personal life...sure dont have much of one lately. get home late and pass out, then back to work. at this point i am welcoming my baby and getting up every 2 hours to this crap!

How is everyone doing? Work plans or projects going on this week? I have three payrolls to process this week. Currently waiting for the remaining timesheet submittals (which were due yesterday) and expenses that need to be reimbursed.
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? 11 weeks. Hoping to work until i go into labor.
Training replacement? I've gone over the work that needs to be covered with the two people covering. I still need to meet with them again to go into more detail on a few items. I also need to contact all the vendors I work with to let them know I will be out and who will be the point of contact.
Focus any better so far? I am so far this week. It's slowly starting to fade as I have to wait on all this other information.

Yep, this week is super busy for us so I have no choice. My boss has hinted several times that another position like hers will open up soon and has told me that she wants me to apply, so I am trying to be as effective and productive as possible

We have a huge project going on currently, it's not affecting me all that much though because I am in the training department as of right now.
How much longer do you have until due date/leave?
Starting leave on August 21st - it's coming up so soon! I'm due September 12th. I'm very fortunate that my company gives me pre-partum leave that doesn't affect my post-partum leave time.
Training replacement?
Sort of. I am training the one other guy in the department I'm in to follow the new processes I have been creating. This project was set to end on my leave date, but it looks like it'll be continuing through October now, so I'm interested to see if they'll bring someone else on.
Focus any better so far?
My days mostly consist of presenting or creating training content and I feel like my focus is OK even though going through the same content over and over can get a bit dragged out sometimes.

I have project managers wondering why I am not working extra hours on their projects. By 5 I am drained so no I will not help you do your job at 32.5 weeks pregnant
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? 7 weeks on friday! Plan on working up until my due date but I am hoping they let me work from home the last week.
Training replacement? Nope. We really need at least one more person in our department (even if I wasn't leaving for 12 weeks) but it hasn't been approved.
Focus any better so far? I got some things organized last week so it has helped me focus but overall my energy level is pretty non-existent at work

How is everyone doing? Work plans or projects going on this week? Still having a tough time keeping focus for more than a short period of time. But I've got specific things I'm working on this week that have to be finished up to pass off to someone else. That should help me focus a bit more.
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? It's anyone's guess. I've got 5 more weeks until my c-section so about 4 1/2 weeks of work left. That's if I make it to 16 August which, at this point, is questionable.
Training replacement? I'm not getting a ton of new work. I'm finishing up on things that I've been working on and being handed things that will be pretty easy to finish before the babies get here. I'm just making sure that I leave a trail of notes in our tools so that other people can access them as need be. I won't need to train anyone though.

Ready for a productive office week? I thought I was, until the week started. Was lucky enough to have plenty of energy up through yesterday. All downhill from there.

Fine, except seems like in a span of 24 hours this baby has magically grown enough to push on the front of my belly, up by my diaphragm -- which is extremely uncomfortable / makes it painful to move. Hoping it doesn't interfere too much with meetings!
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? I'm 30 weeks. Soooo. However long 'til she decides to come!
Training replacement? Not yet.
Focus any better so far? Was spectacular last week (somehow!). Back to 1st trimester level of focus and energy -- which is not much at all!
P.S. I have to admit: I'm grossed out by baby. I don't mind the movement when it's down low, but when it's up high and I can feel the pressure and can feel the hard blob through my skin... I can't even!! I'm also having selfish thoughts of baby vs. me competing for space in my body. Have a feeling that's related to facing the music that this will be the last bit of my life childless. I'll get over it, but just wanted to vent...

Ready for a productive office week? Yes! Got lots of rest this past weekend and ready to tackle these 10 hour days. Monday was hectic so I'm hoping the remainder of the week is slower.
How is everyone doing? Work plans or projects going on this week? Managing 2 interns this summer for the first time and amazed at how much work it is. Yeesh! Not the best idea while preggo. I'm good until 2:00pm, then it's downhill from there.
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? A month and a half, which seems like forever. Starting my leave at 36 weeks, end of August and hoping to work from home after.
Training replacement? My boss is planning to hire someone and he better do so sooner than later, because come Sep 1 I am outta here. I'll train my replacement until then.
Focus any better so far? Only in the early morning when I first get to work, which is surprising since I've never been a morning person.

Training replacement? I'm an attorney and don't have anyone else to pawn my clients off on during leave so if something urgent comes up, I guess I'll be figuring out how to handle it from home with the baby.

How much longer do you have until due date/leave? In NJ we can take up to four weeks before and 12 weeks after. I am probably going out the first week in August.
Training replacement? Nope, they are just spreading my work to existing coworkers.
Focus any better so far? I use caffeine, it's the only way.
Ready for a productive office week? I don't really have a choice but to be productive. I'm an attorney and court deadlines are my life and judges don't care if you're pregnant.

My boss has already reassigned some cases and hasn't given me any new ones recently so my work load hasn't been its typical craziness. (Can't help but feel penalized for getting pregnant over that.) But as the youngest attorney, I get assignments on everyone else's cases too so I'm still busy with that.
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? Nine weeks until my due date. I will hopefully work until go time.

How much longer do you have until due date/leave? 7 more weeks until due date and plan on working up to whenever baby decides to come...DD was a week early so we'll see if I make it the full 7 weeks or not. Part of me hopes yes, so I can get more if this project finished...but another part if me wouldn't mind if baby came a tad sooner so I can wash my hands of it all, haha.
Training replacement? Not really. Acouple teammates and my manager are going to tag team my project while I'm in leave. It's going to be a cluster but nothing I can do about it.

Training replacement? We have a new attorney coming in August 15, about 2 weeks before I go out, who will be assisting on my cases. My boss asked me yesterday if I can work from home on maternity leave if he needs help. I am not really optimistic about getting a lot of rest on leave.
Focus any better so far? Clearly, I am too angry to focus on anything! I need to chill. I need to get a water garden going on up in this office. Anyone have any zen tactics that are working for them? I am big and irritable and overwhelmed.
@PSUBecky23 hang in there. I am a more senior associate in my department and I am not sure it's better wrt the workload. I have clients who are not sending me cases, which also makes me feel penalized for being pregnant, and I have younger associates more or less telling me their tasks on my cases will not get done til I get back. Ha. I can't say I blame them, there are people more important than me breathing down their necks, but it is stressful either way.
@cmiska are you at a firm? I feel like I want to really stress that I am not going to be available during leave, but it's a small/ medium firm, so I don't want to seem like I'm not committed to the clients, either.
Ready for a productive office week? I'm late to the party here, since it's already Thursday, but I was in a training class/off-site meeting for the past three days so I'm back in the office for the first time.
How is everyone doing? Work plans or projects going on this week? We were in a training for a new system we're learning. It's so complex and powerful that it's going to take me a while to really understand what it can do and how to most effectively work it. I'm kind of afraid I'll really get the hang of it just time to go out and forget everything.
How much longer do you have until due date/leave? c-section date was 9 weeks from Monday. My plan is to work up until the Friday before.
Training replacement? They just hired a new team member, which I'm excited about, but I think it's a "too little, too late" kind of a thing. Yes, he will officially be hired this week, but there's at least a month before he transfers to our department, then another 3 months or so of training so he should be ready to go by the time I get back, which won't be any help to the rest of the guys on my team who will be covering me while I'm out.
Focus any better so far? It's not better, but it's not any worse, so that's SOMETHING, right?
