I'll go!

I'm 5 weeks!!! I usually never know I'm pregnant until 6 weeks so finding out at 4 was surprising. Sometimes I wish I could have just found out at 12 weeks and then baby would be in my arms sooner lol.

no appointments for another 5 weeks.

i feel really good. Just tired and a slightly slower digestion. And bloated.

Rants- I live with my mother while we build an extension on their property... Worst idea ever. She's usually a doll but when she's mad, she's furious and pouts for weeks. Doesn't help that we are both VERY opinionated and therefore clash on just about every topic possible.

GTKY: i love history and literature. I love "a people's history of the United States", "stolen continents" and "Tess of the D'Urbervilles"

I'm seven weeks -feels like this is dragging, @ihateusernames I also found out at 4 and starting getting nausea right away so it's been w long three weeks. Totally agree on the whole finding out at 12 weeks thing.

baby is a blueberry -mm, that's a good idea for a snack today.

No appojntments for 3weeks. Ughh. Jealous of all the moms going in for early appointments.

i feel so nauseous. I just want to sleep the day away so I don't have to spend another moment feeling this way. My house is a mess, my daughter is a mess, I'm a mess, bleh.

rants--people have cancelled plans on me all week. I worked so hard to be intentional about scheduling things to get me out of the house and distracted from the morning sickness, but I'm stuck at home sick anyway.

GTKY- before I had DD and became a SAHM I was an actress. I miss it, and hope I can pick up some gigs as my babes get older.

@ihateusernames* Impatient me thinks I would prefer to find out at 12 weeks, but logical me realizes that I needed to make some lifestyle changes (no more happy hours, no more sushi and medium rare meat, etc) and if I found out at 12 weeks and hadn't made the appropriate changes I would worry the remainder of the pregnancy

@kjd291 I am also pretty jealous of moms that get to have early appointments. I know that there is usually a reason AND I would prefer not to be a high risk mom, but this is my first, and waiting is hard.

Any upcoming appointments this week? my FIRST appointment (which is just lab work) is 4 and a half weeks off

Any new symptoms or changes? Not really. Still nauseous and tired. Fortunately, I took the week off and have been able to ease in to being pregnant -- still feels weird to say that.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I went to the thrift store yesterday and got 5 pairs of maternity pants for less than $20. They vary from almost fitting now to waaaay too big. I'm pretty proud of that find.

How far along are you? 6 weeks

How big is baby? A sweet pea (2.71mm though from today's US)

Any upcoming appointments this week? First US was today!!

Any new symptoms or changes? Nauseous as hell!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Just so excited to actually be posting this. It's been a long 2 years to get here, and I am just so happy. My husband who NEVER cries teared up when we got to see our baby's heartbeat today

GTKY: The Great Gatsby is my all time fav. I like the Harry Potter series, and just read The Nightengale and LOVED it.

I'm seven weeks based on LMP. Won't have an ultrasound to go by until 10 or 12 weeks.

Blueberry! Ovia says Brookesia micra chameleon.

My first appointment is August 4th.

Nausea is more frequent than with my first two pregnancies, but nothing new for this one.

Rants/raves: DH and I are going on a cruise this October with friends. We do it every year but this is the first time we've gotten a drink package, go figure! Ah well, virgin drinks for me.

I don't have a top 3 books, but these came to mind: Paradise Lost, Dracula, Watership Down.

@kjd291 and @direwolfmini, I told my husband today that the only plus side to infertility is we get to see our baby a lot more now that we are actually pregnant

I don't know what I'm going to do when I get released to an OB and have to wait a long time for the next one lol.

5 Weeks today! Like the rest of you ladies, I wish I found out later too. Only so it was less time for me to hide the fact that I am pregnant. Fake cocktails are just not as fun!

Next Wednesday. I think its just an intro, then have another one at 8 weeks with the OB

Omg I love fight lib and slaughterhouse 5... Well slaughterhouse 5 is dark and depressing but very thoughtful too. I wrote an essay or two on it in college

Any upcoming appointments this week? None this week, but I have an appointment with the nurse educator at my endocrinologist office a week from today to go over diabetes and pregnancy stuff

Any new symptoms or changes? any symptoms I had are slowly disappearing. Last week I was exhausted and then I started getting RLP (at least I think that's what it was, but it seems kinda early for that?) and my blood sugars wouldn't come down. But I haven't been tired more than usual for the last couple of days and only some twinges here and there and my blood sugars have been awesome the last 24 hours

Any new symptoms or changes? My boobs feel like two ton kettlebells, and the sleepies have hit majorly hard this week. I can't get past noon without nodding off.

Rants/Raves/Questions? The first trimester sucks. That is all.

How big is baby? A blueberry! Or as DH said, "aw, a blueberry? I ate some at lunch and now I feel guilty"

Any upcoming appointments this week? No, but it's a week from today, so I'm getting excited

Any new symptoms or changes? Nothing new, but my desperation for an ease to the quease is getting insane. I bought those sea bands that I don't believe in and have been sucking on ginger preggy pops like a mad woman.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Non-pregnancy-related-rant: our apartments have a lot of plumbing troubles, so plumbers were working on a nearby unit which meant I didn't have any water for 5+ hours this morning. No shower for me

GTKY: 3 favorite books! The Harry Potter series, of course (so glad to have fellow HP fans here!!!); oh man I only get to pick 3??? Um... probably "Pride & Prejudice" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

I am 6 weeks today!

Baby is size of sweet pea

Appointments: I have my first ultrasound Friday. Really pumped to make it feel more real.

Symptoms: i woke up this morning starving and feel nauseous when hunger strikes - I have to eat right away or I feel like puking!

Rave: my birthday is Saturday!

Same! I've been for 2 betas and now an early ultrasound Friday. These short waits seem so long so I'm going to have work on my patience once I graduate to my OB!

Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope, not until the 26th. Hate waiting for that first appt!

Any new symptoms or changes? Nothing new, just tired as all hell.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: my 2 year old (26 months) is potty training and today was the first day he didn't have an accident at daycare! On top of that, they also said he started telling them when he has to go. This is MAJOR progress!!!

GTKY: 3 favorite books! Any book from Tessa Bailey or Gillian Flynn.

Lol I usually feel funny about eating the fruit that is the size of baby in any given week. It turns into a weird sacred fruit.

My three favorite books. That's HARD! Love me some british classics. So I'm gonna go with"Great Expectations" -Dickens, Pride and Prejudice ((really all Jane Austen)) , and Uhhh... Idk. i loved Upton Sinclare "The Jungle"

How far along are you? 6w1d (6 weeks yesterday)

How big is baby? Sweet pea

Any upcoming appointments this week? I had my first OB nurse appointment yesterday and had some blood work done. Got some of the results back and my betas look good as well as progesterone and might do an early ultrasound before I go to my next appointment with the doctor at 9w4d.

Any new symptoms or changes? Nausea definitely started this week- mostly just dry heaving and gagging but yesterday I just felt queasy all day but drinking sprite helped a lot.

Rants/Raves/Questions? *TW* I am PGAL so I am just super nervous right now but seeing the numbers and knowing I am actually pregnant and things look good made me feel a little better. I am thinking positively about my ultrasound because I've never seen the heart beat before. *TW*

GTKY: 3 favorite books! Or movies if you are not a book person: My favorite books are any of the Harry Potter series, anything by Stephen King and I enjoy books with a WW2 theme like The Nightingale, The Book Thief or All the Light we Cannot See which are recent ones I have read.
