Period Changes

Have any of you experienced a change in your period since getting it back? I no longer get sore breasts or back pain or the normal range of strange period stuff. All I get is bloating a week before and a little bitchy then a little pain in the nether region the first and second day of period.

Lol "and a little bitchy". Thats funny.

    Pre-kids:
    -period lasted 5-10days
    -cramps all throughout my period
    -heavy bleeding
    - and a little bitchy

    After DD with Mirena:
    -lasted 1-2 days
-got it maybe 2-3 times a year(had it in almost 5 years)
    -NO cramping
    -& not bitchy @ all!

When i took it out before i got prego with the boys it lasted 6 days full blown period no cramps.

    After boys with Tubal Ligation:
    -lasted 5 days
-got it right away after my 6 week PP even though i was EP
-cramping was mild & i got pain in my back where i got epidural

Now its coming later & later. Last time my cycle was 45 days, lasted 3 days, killer cramps, heavy bleeding.

So as you can see mine have been changing like crazy. My periods have been a bit chaotic after the kids lol i wish i had gone back to "normal" & by normal i mean at least know when in the hell my period is due! :weary:

  • I was on BC for 15 years pre baby. 3 days and super light. No cramps. Boobs always hurt. Kind of a bitch but in my opinion no more than the usual. Lol

Now, even tho I still EP, Im just about regular. About 32 days versus 28. No BC. I got my period back at 4 mos PP. I cramp for several days prior. More hormonal. My boobs are a tad more sensitive, but I'm curious to see how they feel once I wean. Super heavy flow day one and then lighter for 4 more days. Def way heavier than it ever was. The cramping prior is super shitty. Is this the new normal?
  • I haven't got my period in almost 40 days! I used to be 28 days and it was very precise. Now it just comes whenever it feels like it. I've only had two periods so far, first one came back in April. I'm  down with infrequent periods!

@dmbfan46835 totally forgot the cramping prior it's like annoying I barely register it but it's for like a week. Also my first day is so heavy nothing like used to but I'm still right on time restarted my period app from pre baby and it started last three periods when it said I would. I stopped EP ing mid April. @vibarra27 I've noticed I just get super angry at little little things right around it. I used to cause huge arguments w my husband do that's why I've down graded to a little bitch lol
  • @Yiggle09 well i guess on his behalf hes happy youve toned the bitchiness down lol
  • My periods are the same as far as length and flow. My cycles are still a short 24-26 days.
The only difference is I don't have debilitating cramps anymore. I don't feel anything.
I've never taken hormonal BC and still don't.
BFP May 2013 - MMC at 8 weeks
BFP September 2013 - MMC at 12 weeks
    BFP February 2014 - early loss/CP at 4.5 weeks
BFP May 2014 - MMC/ complete molar pregnancy at 11 weeks
    BFP December 2015 - DD born 8/18/2015
    BFP November 2016 - pending...

  • I got mine back 5 months post-partum and my cycles have ranged from 27 days to 37 days depending on the month. Periods have been about the same as they were prior to getting pregnant, except this last one was so light I barely needed a tampon. It was so light I took a pregnancy test to make sure something wasn't up! But I'm still breastfeeding and not on any hormonal birth control (just condoms), so I think that plays a part in the randomness.

I am still breastfeeding and on BC and still no period almost 10 months PP. I am sure it has to somewhat do with breastfeeding, but starting to wonder how long I can get away without having one!
  • I've had too many problems with birth control so I'm not on any. My period is SO much better after baby, it really amazes me. I used to have cramps to the point that I couldn't get out of bed, needed prescription pain killers and such. Now I have NO cramps whatsoever?! It's amazing
  • My first period post-baby was horrendous But they went back to pre-pregnancy normal after that one. The only change I've seen is that my periods have suddenly become less predictable on start date. I've always been extremely regular (to the point I knew what day I would start) and I was for about the first 7 months after LO was born. For some reason the last couple of months I've suddenly started several days late then this month a week early. Strange!
