Post c section pain

I'm two weeks pp repeat c section. I was wondering if any of you mama's are experiencing pain surrounding the incision but not directly on top of the incision....I have been experiencing pain about an inch above and to the right of my incision that feels like a pulling and painful sensation and wanted to know if I'm the only one

Re: Post c section pain

  • I think so. I asked my dr about it and she reminded me that they had to open the incision and hold it open in order to get the baby out. She said there's a lot of internal bruising.

  • I'm 9 days post c section and only ever took Motrin.  Day 2 of just once a day dose.  Did notice pain like you were talking about a coue days ago but started feeling pretty normal again yesterday.
  • I feel the same thing and my doctor told me the same thing, it's internal bruising.

Okay that makes me feel better. I have my two week follow up tomorrow so I will also mention it. But I never had that pain with my first section. So I was a little worried. Thank you ladies
  • Yes, my incision it's self looks great and doesent hurt but right above is where it is tinder to the touch and it's puffy.. I have not seen my ob since 1 week pp and at that time I was not concerned bc I knew I was swollen all over. But I'm 3 weeks pp and and it's still hurting and swollen and I got off my Pain pills after 2 weeks and have only been taking prescription. Ib profen 800 MG for inflamation.. seems to help but sometimes I forget to take it bc I get so busy with my baby I hardly have time to feed myself. He's been a handful with fussyness and gas but anyway I'm actually going to get my pain pill prescription re filled I was trying to avoid that. But it's still painful. But your not alone! I'm glad you posted this thread!!

So I went to my ob yesterday for a two week check up and I was told that it sounds like I might have adhesions on the inside (scar tissue) forming. Now the ob said that it should resolve on its own but only time will tell. And then when I went home i Google'd more info about it and it sounds exactly like that Is what it could be. However usually they don't just go away so I'm praying that might especially will because I can't imagine living with this pain.
