• @Worldtravler0522 - congrats on a successful retrieval!!! Wishing you lots of luck and a peaceful recovery!

Thank you for all of the warm welcomes! I'm deep within the TWW and this is the first month of trying Clomid. I'm not feeling one way or the other, really. I'd like to say it's given me more hope, but I already ovulate so I'm not sure how much I can get out of taking this, but it's worth a try.

Best concert...hmmm, my first thought would be to say a Tori Amos show, she came during Halloween in 2007 and she and her crew were dressed in costumes and they came up and down the aisles and passed out candy. A lot of people attending dressed in costumes, too. Foo Fighters and Weezer would be a close second because Foo Fighters just had such great energy...I was blown away. This was 2005 I think.

• @Worldtravler0522 That's awesome that your retrieval went so well! FX for the next step!
@jennh75b FX for you!

1. How long have you been TTC? 14 months

2. What is your diagnosis? PCOS

3. What is your current Rx plan? Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel + TI

QOTW: What is the best concert you've ever been to? Oh man! On Sunday DH and I went to see Tim McGraw (we're big country fans) He put on the most amazing show, and we were right in the front! I have some pretty awesome pictures and videos to remember it by. It was definitely my favorite concert by far.

• I am in what I estimate to be my FW this week. We should have two more chances to conceive before my first appointment in August. A part of me is definitely still hopeful while the other part of me is saying that there's no point.

The best concert I have ever been to was a Reliant K concert I went to with my hubby (then boyfriend) when I was in high school. It was probably the company as much as the concert, but I have great memories.

• @Worldtravler0522 Congrats on your successful egg retrieval! Fx for a successful next step!
@MandyBeeSLP I understand the mixed feelings. I felt the same way before our first appointment where part of me didn't really see the point in trying since we were going to be seeing someone. We are starting Clomid my next cycle so I actually still feel that way a bit, as if this last cycle is just kind of pointless.

I am in the first half of my TWW. At this point, I don't feel much hope for a BFP and just want my next cycle to hurry up and get here so we can get our labs done and get going on some treatment.

We took a big step this weekend though. I have been pretty upfront with everything to my Mom and a couple of close friends. I have even talked to one of DH's sisters because she had TTTC #2. But DH has not talked about it with anyone but me. Now that we are starting testing, he was finally ready to talk about it with his family. We told his parents and the rest of his siblings together. After telling his parents, he told me that he felt better which was what I was hoping for. He tends to keep his emotions to himself and I was really starting to worry that he didn't have an outlet for what has been going on. I think it really helped too that almost everyone we told this weekend had told us of people they also knew who had TTTC. I've told him before how common it actually is but I think hearing about other peoples stories really helped it actually sink in.

• Just waiting for my ultrasound on Monday to see how my follies are looking. I am hoping mature and happily huge..and a few of them (but I am fermera so likely just one biggie would be good too!). I have had a hard time getting mature enough follies.

If all goes well on Monday I will get a trigger and we will go on to have our 2nd IUI mid week. Lots of waiting and hoping.

currently just waiting around for AF after my unsuccessful IUI, she is due Thursday or Friday and I have a bit of spotting today so she is about right on time - DH and I were really hopeful that the IUI would work so it was a bit of a hit to us... This Cycle I will be having a consult with another RE to see if she thinks there is any additional testing we should do before we throw more money into more IUIs

• I'm in my FW right now, and I'm actually feeling pretty relaxed this cycle. Knowing we're going to start iui's in August kind of takes the pressure off these next 2 cycles.

QOTW: I don't really like concerts (all the standing and sweaty bodies moshing all around me...) but we did go to a local festival that had Guster playing (DH's favorite band) so we stood up by the stage and rocked out with some of the other fans, which was pretty fun.

• Unfortunately just found out I'm out this month. My worries came true, and my TSH is off again...not by much, but enough that the RE wants to cancel another cycle :( Feeling so discouraged and just worn out by this whole awful process. I probably won't be on the boards much this month to try my best to keep my mind off ttc, but I really hope the rest of you get good news soon!!!

@jennh75b I hope your TWW ends with a BFP!

@hoffmanr7 I hope you are surprised and you get a BFP this cycle. I'm also happy to hear you shared your TTC with more people. I know everyone we have told has been incredibly supportive and helpful in getting us to where we are now.

@harleyquinn0621 I hope you get the answers you are looking for from the new RE!

@ReesaAnne16 I don't really like concerts either! I think this is why I liked the one at the casino so much because I felt less packed in for some reason.

@meli123k sory to hear you are feeling frustrated. I had one cycle where I just wanted to hide after the BFN so I understand needing the space. I hope we see you come back soon!

• I had my visit with my gyno last Tuesday (not yesterday, a week ago.) He said we're going to try one last round of Clomid at 200mg. If it doesn't work, he's going to refer me to an RE. So I finished Provera yesterday and I'm waiting on AF to start my final dose.

I really don't expect it to work. If no dose before this has, I am just not very hopeful. And that has caused me to go into a little bit of a depression. I will have to pay a lot just to see an RE, and then whatever s/he prescribes me will probably cost a lot. If she does Letrozole I can afford that. If she decides to put us on injectibles... we'll have to wait until income tax returns next year. She'll want to do many ultrasounds, too. I have to pay a lot for that as well. I'm just worrying constantly.

On top of that, my best friend's sister just had a baby and he's all she can talk about. She posts so many pictures on line. And the sister is not in a position to have a baby, and is much younger than me, but she and her boyfriend just decided they wanted one and so they did. It kills me.

And then my cousin is currently in labor, ready to give birth any minute. She and her boyfriend were only together a few months before she got pregnant. It's so frustrating!

I'm just not in a good place. :'(

QOTW: I've only ever been to one, it was a mercyme concert. It was pretty good! In a few weeks I'm going to go to a disturbed concert. That will be pretty great. :)

Worldtravler0522 Congrats on what sounds like a great ER! Good luck with your recovery. I've heard it can be kind of rough.

BecauseLove FX for big follies!

meli123k I'm sorry you're experiencing so much disappointment. Keep your chin up.

AFM, I gave myself my first ovidrel injection this am. I am so pleased with myself. Now I'm in an actual fertile week after 10 months of TTC. We just need to get that good timing. I'm excited y'all!

I think my favorite show I've ever been to was probably Radiohead.

• @meli123k and @Mythril, so sorry you're both in rough spots right now. This process is so mentally and emotionally (and financially) taxing, sucks.

We we are fast approaching the one year mark (August) TTC after loss and somehow I'm still not ovulating. So very frustrating. So here I sit at cd32 with no clue when to expect AF.

Tried getting in with a new OB that's closer to our new house and bc mine could careless about my situation. Got the major run around from the new office so I'm thinking the search for a new OB needs to continue, that part also stinks!

I have gone to a big country concert every summer for the past 8-9 years until this year I didn't get tickets to any. I don't know how I could pick my favorite. My top three are probably Kenny and Tim in Nashville. FGL/Jason Aldean at a small venue in Northern Maine. And my fave band, Lady Antebellum, in Palm Beach, FL.

• @Worldtravler0522 congrats on a great retrieval!!

@MamaMunn welcome. I remember you from the TTGP board, so sorry you find yourself here but this community has been great!

@echo+november yay for fertile week! Good luck!

Hi everyone! Not a lot to report this week. DH and I didn't actually BD in my fertile window this month. It's kind of a long story but we got an amazing opportunity to travel in February and if I happened to get KU before then we'd have to cancel since I'd be too far along for travel insurance to cover and complications.
I know it's a long shot that I'd even get pregnant this cycle, and it was a tough decision for us, but ultimately it was the right decision.

I think next cycle will be another natural month since my doctors office won't call me back and it's not likely I'll get in before next cycle to start clomid.

@GoldenKeys, OBGYN added 1mg estradiol days 1-7 this last go-round.

And on that note, I had my monthly sono yesterday. Apparently the estradiol only added 1mm to my previously 2.45mm lining. Not what we were hoping for. I did have two follies again, 14mm and 10mm this time. We have the go ahead for TI. I've read that Clomid can delay ovulation and since I think I ovulated later than they thought last month (they thought CD 14- I think it was CD 18) I got LH tests to help track (cause my BBT is all sorts of off on these hormones). That's about it for me right now. Cheers to the FW(s)!

Edited to add:
QOTW- I'm not really a concert person either. I've been to a few at church though I honestly couldn't tell you who they were. DH and I go to Celtic Fest each year and that's basically a bunch of Celtic muscians, so maybe that kinda counts? I'll tell you who I want to see! Bucket list definitely includes seeing Trans Siberian Orchestra!

• Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts! I am feeling more positive about things today. Yesterday I just had to get out all those negative thoughts and feelings. DH and I will still ttc naturally this cycle, but not really holding out hope for that to work haha. Since we're unexplained we keep coming back to the conclusion that my thyroid must really be messing things up, but there's no way to know for sure...I'm sure it hasn't been helping. If it is the main issue though it's frustrating that it's taking us so long to find the right dosage...we seem to be really close though so fingers crossed this new dose helps!

@Worldtravler0522 Congrats on your successful retrieval and I hope the good news keeps on coming! Hope you're feeling better now too :)

@jennh75b Hope the TWW goes by quickly for you and that you get good news at the end of it!

Welcome @MamaMunn! Hope your stay here is short & sweet!

@MandyBeeSLP Best of luck with your upcoming appointment!

@hoffmanr7 Hope the rest of your TWW flies by! That's great to hear your DH was able to tell his family and find some relief in that. It is such a difficult and emotional process even for those who don't like to show their emotions much (that includes my DH too!) and having support from family and friends makes a world of difference!

@BecauseLove Hoping for nice big follies for you!

@harleyquinn0621 Sorry to hear your IUI didn't work, I know it's a big disappointment after putting extra time and effort (and money) into a cycle :( I hope your appointment with the new RE goes well and that it gives you encouragement to have a plan for what to do next!

@ReesaAnne16 Glad to hear you are feeling good and relaxed! Good luck with your upcoming treatment! :)

@eadams08 So very sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy :(

Welcome @blessedmomma88! I hope your stay here is also short & sweet!

@Mythril So sorry to hear you're having a rough week :( This process is so draining and a rollercoaster of emotions, it's no wonder we feel depressed sometimes. I hope you are able to feel better soon though, and I hope your RE will be able to give you encouragement and a good plan that works within your budget. I also get affected by all the baby/kid/pregnancy posts, I deactivated my FB account a few months ago so that I could avoid some of those triggers. I actually don't miss it!

@echo+november Congrats on giving yourself your first ovidrel shot! I felt so squeamish at first but was also really proud of myself after doing it hehe :)

@SoonToBeMommaHowe So sorry to hear that you're not ovulating, that sounds so frustrating :( That's awful to hear your OB hasn't been helpful, I really hope you can find a good one to switch to asap!

@NikkiPSU Welcome, glad to hear your HSG came back normal, but I know how frustrating it is to be told you're unexplained and not have an answer about why things aren't happening as they should! FX your stay here is short!

@jmr1515 I hope you have an awesome vacation with lots of relaxation and no worrying about ttc :) Where will you be traveling?

@zigzag8412 Sorry to hear about the lining, I hope it thickens up in the next few days! My RE said clomid can thin lining (which is what happened for me the past couple times I tried it), so we were going to give femara a try instead before I had to cancel this cycle. Maybe that could be an option for you too? I hope this cycle works out though so you don't even have to think about next one!

Forgot to answer the QOTW last post: This is a tough one, I have fond memories of several concerts...but I'm going to go with The Flaming Lips concert I went to with DH. We hadn't been dating very long but I knew he liked their music and I came across free tickets on craigslist which I was lucky enough to get. Wasn't sure what to expect but they put on a really fun show! It was a good night :)

echo+november and meli123k Thank you! :)

meli123k It is frustrating to see other people "getting lucky" when some of us are trying so hard. I personally just try to focus on that my life is really good outside of this ttc thing...and that other people have other demons they are dealing with...for me TTC is my demon. We are all suffering in our own ways I suppose.

I took DH to see Great Big Sea for his birthday one year and the concert was amazing
• @BecauseLove Those are very wise words! I started a list on my phone a couple months back to remind myself of all the good things I still have in my life when I'm feeling sad or bitter. At least ttc can't take those things away from me! And you're right, everyone has something that causes them hardship...

@LadyMillil Best of luck with your move and new jobs!

• Hi girls! I wanted to let everyone know that my sister is doing much better. She will probably be in the ICU for another couple weeks but her recovery is coming along quite nicely.

I believe I am in my FW based on CM which means changing my Clomid protocol from 3-7 is moving up my O date. I don't know if I will turn an OPK this month. I get my positive OPKs in the AM and we have the AC going in the bedroom which makes me really thirsty so I've been drinking a whole 24oz water bottle throughout the night! I have a free 30 minute phone consult with an RE in a week and a half. I decided I really want to know my options and want to start planning financially. Realistically if I need IUI or IVF I will have to wait until next summer when I am not working because 3 hours of travel to get to a clinic multiple times in a week is just not realistic during the school year.

QOTW- I have been to a lot of great concerns.... two of my favorite were Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals.

• @hoffmanr7 - I'm so glad that your husband's family was supportive!

We are also concluding week 1 of the TWW.

We we went on vacation with my parents over the 4th and told them what was going on. Such a relief. They told us that it took them 3 years to get pregnant with my brother (mom was my age now, but he is the second child). They both agreed that there would be no more talk about grandchildren from them, which we really appreciate.

One more week to testing - hoping the Chlomid helped this month!

• @Worldtravler0522 20 eggs, thats great! Do they save the eggs that are not implanted for later?

@jennh75b good luck with your TWW, let's hope for a BFP!

@mandybeeslp keep up hope but don't put pressure on yourself. Sometimes a little break from ttc craziness is a good thing.

@hoffmanr7 good luck with your testing. It was very brave for your and your DH to tell family about your struggles, I hope you get the support you need.

@becauselove gl with you u/s on Monday, let's hope for big follies!

@harleyquinn0621 so sorry your IUI didn't take. Its a good thing to get a second opinion

@reesaanne16 I am in my FW as well!

@meli123K- so sorry your cycle was cancelled, big hugs your way

@mythril Sorry clomid is not working out for you. I can really empathize. Going to an RE will be a huge expense for us as well. Luckily I scored a free phone consult with an RE because I live so far away from a clinic. We probably wouldn't start treatment until next spring into next summer because I work on a school year schedule. I was getting really stressed about everything but then I took some deep breaths, accepted the reality of the situation and decided stressing isn't going to help or make treatment more affordable. We will save the $ we have to, even if it takes a while. The clinic does offer financing so I know we have that option as well.

Soontobemommahowe- Glad you are switching OBs, you deserve to have someone on your side

@Nikkipsu I love Billy Joel and Elton John!

@jmr1515 what interesting place are you traveling in February???

@zigzag8412 Sorry your lining is thin, ugh that really sucks. Hopefully you are right and you are Oing later and things will improve.

• On Day 6 of Provera after AF starts I start my final round of clomid on CD3 and if I have no luck this round I go see an RE. My doctor didn't even want to schedule my 24 day blood draw so it feels like she gave up on me. I'm going to keep taking OPKs after the 24 day draw because I think I may be ovulating late because I have longer then normal cycles.

FI and I are still fighting a lot. He's started doing research of his own and when I go to see an RE he is going to have tests done on himself to see if he's part of the problem. He's overweight and a truck driver so he drinks a lot of caffiene to stay up while driving at night and he found stories of people who couldn't get pregnant because of positive and negative blood types which I'm A- and he's B+ so he has now decided that if anything is even a little off on his end or if the doctor thinks we have a better shot he wants to use a sperm donor. And that's a little upsetting because it feels like now he is giving up to.

I also have an issue where we are planning our wedding. Late August of next year. If I'm not pregnant by December/January would it be horrible if I put the baby plans on hold so my Great Grandma doesn't cry or fling holy water on a pregnant bride or would that be completely disastrous in having a chance at a baby in the future.
• @Ducks&Cats such great news about your sister!!

@Samanthaarielxo are you temping? I've been told by my OB that I'm not ovulating bc my cycles are long, irregular and my cd21 progesterone draws are super low (0.2 & 0.5). She keeps wanting to just start meds but I want to take care of things naturally if possible do I've refused for the time being. I started temping this cycle and discovered there's a chance I've been ovulating the whole time and she was missing it with cd21 draws bc FF says I ovulated on cd33! This is my first confirmed ovulatory, unmedicated cycle since either January or Feb 2015!!!

TTC since May 2015 with domestic partner of 13 years. Me 33 OH 33. No ovulation or natural menstruation. Normal SA.
Diagnosed PCOS February 2016
First cycle 50mg Clomid 5/3/16, O'd CD 19 BFN
Second cycle 50mg Clomid 6/1/16 O'd CD 18 BFN
Third cycle Clomid 6/29/16 O'd CD 16 BFP @11dpo!
EDD April 3 and praying things work out!
• Lol @Ducks&Cats...I love your suggestion! The more I think about it how could she possibly diagnose me as anovulatory when she treated me like a patient with "normal" 28 day cycles even though she knew from the start I was always a 32-34 day minimum. And as of lately much longer than that.

I tried talking to my mom and two sisters about things (they are clueless) and it shocks me that so many women have no idea about their cycles. I've been trying to get pregnant for nearly three years, had a late MC and am just starting to figure out my body. I want to shake the OBs and say educate us! Don't just shove pills down our throats!!

• I go for my first RE appointment tomorrow and am a little nervous. My OB told me last week after I'd just taken my last pill of Clomid that my dose of 50mg was too low so this cycle is a wash. I'm anxious to come up with a game plan tomorrow.

1. How long have you been TTC?
26 months

2. What is your diagnosis? Unexplained so far

3. What is your current Rx plan? Clomid 100mg unless the plan changes tomorrow.

QOTW: What is the best concert you've ever been to? I just went to see Garth Brooks a couple weeks ago and he put on the best show!
• @SoonToBeMommaHowe I'm not temping but I bought a jumbo pack of LFH strips online so I'm gonna test every day from the day I start Clomid until I see my RE
• @Samanthaarielxo if you are just starting a cycle I would highly suggest temping along with your OPKs. The basic version of Fertility Friend is free and a BBT thermometer is like $8-$9. I got false surges on OPKs so I was thinking I'd ovulated and progesterone levels said I definitely didn't. Come to find out I get multiple surges in a month before I actually O. If you look at my chart I actually had a +OPK at cd20 but didn't O until 13 days later. OPKs are helpful but not very reliable if you have wonky cycles
