  How far along? 24 weeks (Viability week!!)

  
  

  What size is baby? Ear of corn, or a Package of Oreo's.

  
  

  How are you feeling? Fair this week. I've been getting acid reflux pretty often for some reason. I'm also having such a hard time eating meals as I get full so fast...and yet I gained 2 pounds this week...who knows. 

  
  

  Upcoming appointments? On Friday we have the second part of the anatomy scan, as well as the glucose test.

  
  

  Rants/Raves/Questions: Rave: My Mom was in town this weekend!! It was awesome to see her. We had so much fun, and it was just great spending some alone time with her. Rant: It is so freaking hot outside. The swelling in my ankles is a constant battle if I don't have them elevated, or stay inside in the A/C.

  
  

  GTKY: What's your favorite maternity clothing item and why? The stretchy maternity t-shirts from Motherhood Maternity. They are SO comfortable!! I've started wearing them to work, and just putting them under a blazer. They are also so very comfy to sleep in.

  How are you feeling? overall I feel ok. I finally quit teaching at the gym this week. I had hoped to make it further, but it was time. I'm going to do my best to stay motivated and keep working out. The insomnia is absolutely killing me though. I can't sleep, then I get anxious about not sleeping, and I'm up all night. It's awful and DH and I have been sleeping in separate rooms which isnt' good for our marriage. I'm calling the doc tomorrow.

  
  

  Upcoming appointments? Glucose test Aug. 1st. I failed last time by 1 point, so REALLY hoping I pass the first time around this time.

  
  

  Rants/Raves/Questions: I kinda got my rant out of the way (see above re insomnia)

  
  

  GTKY: What's your favorite maternity clothing item and why? Maxi dresses! I feel not like a house, they're comfy, and great in summer. I HATE anything on my legs right now since that seems to be where the weight is going (jeans, shorts, etc). I also LOVE a Pea in the Pod brand but it's $$.

  Rants/Raves/Questions: WTF. When we started this thing, my husband was ADAMANT about a hospital delivery. (He's a paramedic and was worried about emergency care during delivery.) Now 10 weeks into our 12 weeks of Bradley classes, he's considering home birth or birthing center under the care of a midwife. Way to spring that on me this late in the game, honey. I wanted a home birth all along. Now I'm trying to figure out if we should take the leap and switch providers and everything, and I don't know where to start. Argh, like I need this stress right now!

  
  

  GTKY: What's your favorite maternity clothing item and why? Stretchy shirts and stretchy pants, because COMFORT. I don't know why these aren't a thing for non-maternity wear.

  How are you feeling? Pretty good. Heartburn is through the roof and I'm even more tired than usual, but otherwise okay.

  
  

  Upcoming appointments? Two this week - my monthly appointment on Tuesday and anatomy scan part 3 on Thursday. Hoping they get everything they need this time!

  
  

  Rants/Raves/Questions: My parents are coming up next weekend to help us paint and set up the nursery. I'm excited to get started!!

  
  

  GTKY: What's your favorite maternity clothing item and why? My mom got me a Destination Maternity dress that's perfect - form fitting with a little ruching around the belly and thick enough material so you can't see my still-innie belly button. Super flattering! I feel awkward in shorts and it's too hot for leggings, so I've been living in dresses.

  Rants/Raves/Questions: My husband and I got in a huge fight last night and it's got me in a very bad place emotionally. Not what I want to be dealing with right now.

  
  

  GTKY: What's your favorite maternity clothing item and why? Maternity pants are comfy but they're kind of annoying in the heat. I can still wear some of my Lane Bryant dresses and skirts, those are probably my favorite.

  I guess ok...mentally a little off bc of still unclear fetal echo results and going back again for a 3rd one next month....physically getting more tired, sore, out of breath, etc. All this ice cream is starting to catch up to my thighs too lol

  Upcoming appointments?

  Ultrasound and MFM appt this week 

  Rants/Raves/Questions:

  Pretty frustrated with the fetal echo situation I mentioned above. Rave that our nursery is starting to come together and excited to maybe start on some of the decorative touches this week! Question (I know I need to ask my doctor but), what have you all been told about limiting when/how far away you travel from your doctor/hospital?

  GTKY: What's your favorite maternity clothing item and why?
  My $2 store clearance Gap maternity jeans...they make my butt look good and bump nice and round!

  How are you feeling? my bump feels huge and rock hard, seem to be waddling on a night and napping all the time!

  Rants/Raves/Questions: bought our pram and nursery furniture today, feel like we are getting somewhere now! So many choices in the shops though, we were both bit overwhelmed! 

  
  

  GTKY: What's your favorite maternity clothing item and why? leggings and oversized shirts for sure, and flip flops, ALL my shoes seem too small now and I refuse to buy more so sandals all the way!

  Pretty good.. back to being pretty tired all the time

  Upcoming appointments?

  Next Tuesday is my regular check up and then we have a 3D ultrasound scheduled for next Wednesday!  Can't wait to see this little chick's face!

  Rants/Raves/Questions:

  Not much.. had a dream that someone had a baby with tons of red hair and they tried to give her to me.. wondering if my sweet little Claire is gonna be a red head my husband was as a kid and our three kids are blondes (2/3 are like bleach blonde!)

  GTKY: What's your favorite maternity clothing item and why?
  Maxi dresses/skirts  all the way.  I wear them all the time. . My legs are ginormous right now and shorts look like hell naw on me, so skirts and dresses it is!
