jumping on the podcast wagon but with a twist...so what's your favorite books? What are you currently reading?
I just finished One Thousand White Women and boy what a great story! It's the diaries of a women named May Dodd and her experience as a volunteer wife of a Cheyenne Indian along with a group of other women. It was emotional and nicely written.
I just started Skinny Bitch Bun in the Oven. Well it's super snarky and very educational! I think a lot of women here would really enjoy the tone and style of the book ( I know I am haha) Disclaimer* It is a for vegan book but I haven't come across the word vegan yet. I'm just getting that vibe from the few chapters I've read so far. So not annoying or pushy like some books or materials might be. Can't wait to hear everyone else's current reads!
Re: Favorite Books!
Some that come to mind: The Help, The Color Purple, and Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret.
Currently, I've got Dan Browns Inferno on standby but every time I have a chance to settle down and read a little, I end up falling asleep.

The help was awesome! I've heard about the color purple I'm heading to the library this week lol.
Bumpasaurus Rex I too fall asleep haha but I kinda love taking the naps while curled up reading.
Im currently reading the master and margherita but am not as pretentious as that makes me sound.
My husband isn't a big reader, at least of novels and such, and never read the Harry Potter series...so right now I'm reading it out loud to him. I have a feeling it's good practice for when the little one comes along! I'm also reading Prince of Tides on my own.
I also read Pretty Girls recently! wasn't sure I liked it at first, but kept going and it definitely got better...to the point where I wasted an entire day reading it! Mystery / thrillers are definitely one of my favorite genres.

Anyone who has experienced a loss or has anxiety about a loss I would NOT recommend reading this book. However, I love a good sad book every once in a while so I do also recommend "The Light Between Oceans: a Novel." The main woman character in the novel experiences many heart wrenching losses. The book is wonderful but sad. I wouldn't recommend it if it will cause concern given our current state!

like @bumpasaurusrex I also love a good crime novel and enjoy James Patterson and Harlan Coben.
