The day just started for me so I know I'll have more by the end but right now my petty problem is that I've been craving Spanish food for weeks and every time we pass by the restaurant where I like to get take out the thought of having to get out of the car to get it makes me lose my appetite. So I settle for drive through or whatever is home. Why can't they have a drive through for the Spanish place?! I don't think that's too much for a pregnant woman with sciatica to ask. Also, DH has offered to get it for me several times but he never gets my order right. Bless his heart.
FI left for work at 6:45. His friend called him around 7 asking if he could borrow something, so FI called me to let me know to expect him at the house. Dumb butt hasn't showed up yet, it's been 45 minutes, it's Saturday, I'm going back to bed.
We leave for Destin at 3am tomorrow. I have so much to do before we leave (including a 3 hour hair appointment and a wax appointment) that I am so stressed! I am just ready to be on beach!
My petty problem is that DH was a complete moron and ruined the shower I'm hosting today... In a dream (shower-real, shower ruining-dream). Had a dream that the trays of food for the shower were sitting in the sink for some reason while we were getting everything set up so people could start eating. Then he turned on the water in the sink and decided to rinse a dirty dish over the food. We were at the shower and people had started to show up and I was livid so I just said f*ck it, took off my pants and went upstairs, in that order (haha... What a reaction). So now I'm also paranoid that he's going to screw up the food somehow bc, ya know, I've put so much work into prepping all this so the logical response is to worry lol :rolls eyes at self::
Guys... I just went to go pick up the cake for the shower and the bakery lady fell... ON THE CAKE. everyone say a little prayer for me that that's the only thing that goes wrong today
@bnsmith85 At least it wasn't H, eh? Eh, eh? On a serious note, surely she is compensating you with SOME kind of replacement??? I'm sure this was a one-time mishap for the day, try not to dwell on it and inadvertently create your own 'bad luck', stay optimistic! FX for you and the rest of your day!

Lol... No worries! Not in a bad mood at all it was honestly funny. I was more worried about the lady that fell than anything. It's a grocery store sheet cake that they decorated. They can re-create in 10 mins (and did). The poor lady felt so bad she did give me about a $10 discount on the cake, so that was nice. And good news is, party starts at 4pm (it's 12:30 now) and all the food is prepped and ready to throw in the oven. We're good to go and DH Has been super helpful
@mrszoess... Apparently she tripped over a wheel on a cart in the bakery. She said she falls all the time Fortunately, she was able to get most of the icing off of her uniform and didn't get hurt. Funniest part about the whole thing was how the other guy in the bakery told me: she fell (long pause) on your cake... Then gave me the most wide eyed look ever. Hahaha
@bnsmith85 thank you for the laugh today! I'd feel so bad having to tell a customer that someone fell on their cake. I'm willing to bet that they're relieved that you took it in stride!
My petty problem today is that I'm almost out of pokeballs but I'm not close to a pokestop and I'm too lazy to go on a walk to the nearest one. the one closest to my home is a church, and I don't want to just conspicuously hang around the church of the LDS just waiting for the pokestop to respawn lol
@jjgypsy the dress is sleevelss and it's the velvety straps closest to my armpits rubbing against to my newly acquired arm/chest chub thanks to my new huge boobs... so not sure what I can do about that without it being obvious. Petty indeed haha
lol this sounds so strange but I feel like when the baby is born Pokemon go will get me walking w her lol
I have a suspicion that it was created by frustrated gym teachers to get middle school kids moving. Apparently it works on moms as well! lol
There is some serious craziness already though. Car wrecks? Wtf who is playing this while driving??
H and I were just talking about this. He is driving me crazy with it, but at least he's smart enough not to check in or whatever you do while operating a moving vehicle....
@bnsmith85 This killed me today, I was laughing so hard at the way he told you lol I'm glad everything is okay though!
My husband's twin brother turned him on to the Pokemon Go and now he's always trying to get one. He went on a walk with me, DD, and my dad just so he could get Pokemon. There's a very small part of me that wants to download it and then there's the part of me that wants to throw his phone into the lake in the park. I threatened him that if he looks for Pokemon while I'm in labor I'm deleting ALL games off of his phone.
@bnsmith85 I just laughed so hard at the mental picture I got from your story! Hilarious!
My petty problem today is after the glucose test this morning we went to the grocery store to grab the dinner supplies since our family is coming over this evening. While walking around I got really lightheaded and sweaty, I thought I was going to pass out. I ended up waddling to the Pop Tart aisle and eating a package as fast as I could. The combination of fasting and the extra sugar probably did me in, but I felt so much better after the Pop Tarts and sitting down for a few minutes.
@bnsmith85 omg when I read your first post my jaw dropped and I started giggling, then I read how you were told and I can't stop laughing. Thank goodness it was able to be recreated but definitely an awesome story to tell.
My petty problem is that I threw a birthday party for DD today at my house, starting at 1:00 p.m. I was cleaning all morning and jumped in the shower at noon, thinking that I had time to get myself ready. Then DH's aunt shows up at 12:20. Who shows up 40 minutes early and doesn't at least call to give us a heads up? Also, the lock on our front door broke right around that time so DH had to run to the store to get a new one. So I never did get to get myself ready and had to host the party with wet hair.
So glad that story entertained everyone else too. My friend that I was throwing the shower for asked me to tell the story to guests on multiple occasions
also @mrszoess... Three hours!? I'd still be bra-less, in PJ's and looking like a bucket of yuck if anyone showed up to my house for an event that early. Nope!
@ball4768@mrszoess My twin sister does that crap... I'll ask her to give me a heads up and she's like "dude, we shared a womb"... that may be so. But I have shit to do that you aren't going to do for me (and I've tried to enlist her help during these times before so I know!), so you can show up at the correct time with everyone else! She is also the worst about dragging along her roommates and all of their kids too! That is anywhere from +1 to +7 =/
they always use the "there may be traffic" excuse. it takes 2 hours MAX to them on Long Island, I would rather you be late than early. the rest of that side of the family now plays guessing games for holidays as to their arrival times
Once my brother and SIL were holding Mother's Day lunch. They told my mother what time but they just told me lunch, so I showed up at 12:30. Ya he told her 3 and flipped on me when I showed up until I told him he just told me lunch! He actually made my hubby and I go down the street to a bar for the remaining time because they were just coming back from the grocery store and weren't ready for us.

I just had had a cold in June when we went on our baby moon. This is so unfair. Stupid baby, killing my immune system and making me sick all the time.
