I was all for getting a convertible crib but then realized that we will just have to get another brib when it's time for #2. If we buy a regular crib now then we can just buy a day bed/toddler bed/or twin bed for #1 when #2 comes and re-use the crib. What are your thoughts?
Re: Cribs-Convertible or no?
We got a regular crib. #2 is on the way and #1 is in a toddler bed.....my thoughts were I would not have picked out that furniture (convertible bed) to decorate my toddlers room and way because it's not really my style.
i didn't want a convertible crib b/c chances are by the time i made DS's room into a big boy room- i'd want different furniture all together.
We went ahead and got the convertible crib. I liked that it converts to a *full* bed as well, not just to a toddler bed.
We bought it with the realization that the crib will stay a crib until #2 (someday baby
) outgrows it. With #1, we'll have her in the nursery and once she's big enough will move her to a "big girl" room, while keeping the nursery in tact for #2.
