So nervous, unexpected U/S tomorrow

I was having some light spotting that I didn't think much about. It went away and this past weekend (a week later) it came back heavier. It wasn't full on bleeding but it was definitely more than spotting. I called my OB this morning and they're having me come in for an U/S tomorrow morning. I'm now getting really nervous. My only hope is that it wasn't bright red bleeding but at the same time...*TMI*...it did get a little heavier, not quite clots but more like dark brown EWCM.

Has anyone had similar symptoms (more than spotting, not quite bleeding)?

Not personally, but my sister did with her second. Poor thing had full-on bleeding for quite some time -- she was understandably worried, but her baby was (and 4 yrs later still is!) totally healthy. Best wishes for the u/s tomorrow!

I had some very light spotting around 5 weeks. Not as heavy as what you're describing, and I was able to chalk it up to having had sex, but it did cause some concern since I'm RH negative, and I needed my first Rhogam shot the next day. My doctor has said that there are several causes of brown spotting, and many of them aren't dangerous. Glad you're having an ultrasound tomorrow. Fx that everything is okay!

Thank you all so much for all the well wishes and positive vibes. It really made me feel so good to have a great community here. The appointment went well, baby is there and looking good thank goodness! It was pretty amazing to see the little flicker of the heartbeat...wow! They couldn't really tell my why I had the bleeding but said that everything should be fine. I really appreciate the support!

That's awesome! Thats so tough to wait, and I'm thankful everything turned out ok

I bled brown for 3-4 days at around 6w (I think? I can't remember now) I saw and heard the heartbeat a week later, I'm now at 10.5 weeks and everything still looks good

like others have said, there's lots of reasons for spotting/bleeding early on, I was told "it's not a huge issue until it is" which isn't so helpful, but I guess I understand

Yay! So glad to hear things are good. This stage is so nerve-wracking, but we'll get through it! I plan on just being functionally insane until I'm officially in the second trimester.
