Re: PGAL Check in - week of 7/4

  • 1. Tell us about yourself (if your first time participating): First BFP in September 2015, found out baby stopped developing in November 2015, natural incomplete miscarriage followed by emergency D&C December 2015 at 12 weeks. I'm now 7w6d.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): Exhaustion, super sore boobs going on four weeks, not necessarily specific food aversion, but nothing sounds good and a general lack of appetite. Minimal nausea, haven't thrown up yet.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): My first appointment is July 11th. I was doing great and was positive until yesterday. I have now 95% convinced myself that there will be no baby coming in February and that we won't see a hb next week. In fact, I tear up more over the thought of seeing a hb than not seeing a hb.

    4. When is your first or next appointment? First appointment July 11th

    5. Rants/raves/whatever: Rant: My clinic only has a bedside ultrasound machine and due to my retroverted uterus, you really can't see anything on it. I know I'm going to have to go to the sister clinic for a better ultrasound after the July 11th appointment. It's always a cluster to get into the sister clinic and I wish we could just schedule the US in advance so I'd at least know and could plan work around it.

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie? The Lion King!

  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) Sore boobs, fatigue, and nausea with some hurling

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) Okay most days. Having constant symptoms is helping with the anxiety. Really hoping hearing a HB will help even more.

    4. When is your first or next appointment? 2nd US to hear HB is July 11th

    5. Rants/raves/whatever I have slept so well the last 2 nights becasue we got a new mattress on Sunday. I can't believe we waited so long. I should not have been suffering with back pain and fatigue like that!

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie? The Princess Bride

  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) Like I've been hit by the pregnancy symptom stick.  Nausea, tummy ache, exhaustion, sore boobies, headache.  Last time I had no symptoms so this is better.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) So my doc has a super low tech U/S machine in his office (I swear it's older then I am) but with my loss he couldn't find anything on it, on Friday he found the yolk and sac, no HB because it's so low tech, but seeing something was a relief.  Tomorrow will be the exact DPO I was when I MC so hopefully the anxiety eases up after then.

    4. When is your first or next appointment? I get my real ultrasound on Friday, then another in two weeks, and then I see the doctor at ten weeks.

    5. Rants/raves/whatever Nothing today.

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie? Little Mermaid, it's a classic

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) Overall, pretty good.  MS comes and goes in waves, I'm sleepy all day, and up all night.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) I just got home from a dr appointment, which is helping a little bit.  However, I'm in the week that I had my MMC with my first pregnancy, so I'm still on "high alert".

    4. When is your first or next appointment? My dr is super nice and scheduled an 8 week appointment for just an US so I can pop in and confirm everything is ok.  I'm so glad she did.

    5. Rants/raves/whatever I think today is going to be a good day!

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie? It's a close tie between Little Mermaid, Land Before Time, and Lion King.  I loved all of them.

  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)

Exhausted and nauseated (but no vomiting). Not sleeping super well due to weird dreams that I don't remember details of once I wake up. Oh and holy sore boobs!

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)

Feeling much better in that department since I passed the point I miscarried at. My first appointment is next week and I think I'll be a little anxious until I hear everything is OK.

    4. When is your first or next appointment?
    July 13th

    5. Rants/raves/whatever

My husband wants sex. I want sleep. Fake it till you make it. *sigh*

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie?
    The Wizard of Oz
Rachel, mama to Ava (6), Olivia (4), Nora (2), and baby#4 on the way.

  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) - the nausea has somewhat subsided. Other than that, I'm just extremely tired all day.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) - with the loss of nausea, I am starting to get worried. Also, I couldn't find the HB on my Doppler last night which isn't a huge concern with my tilted uterus but I just hoped to be able to find it by now.

    4. When is your first or next appointment? - July 27

    5. Rants/raves/whatever - with the return of my appetite, I'm worried about the weight gain since I gained 75 lbs with DD. Really trying not to repeat that.

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie? - I really liked Big and Nightmare Before Christmas.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
I finally have sore boobs! Some mild nausea when I get up...and sometimes when I think about certain foods, but nothing that's kept me from living life. And the tiredness isn't kidding. Naps are my new thing.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
Still not super confident that this is going to work out. I'm at the dpo when I had my MC...but I think I'll just worry for the next 7.5 months no matter what. Therapist helped put it in perspective saying "what can you do?". And all I can do is eat well, rest, and take care of myself.

    4. When is your first or next appointment?
Had my first today - I'm at 6 weeks, so could see a little blob. They said they could see a little heartbeat flicker, but didn't measure it. Next appointment is August 8 - seems so far away!

    5. Rants/raves/whatever
I'm volunteering with a group on Thursday, and don't know how I'll keep my energy up for 6 hours...then come home to teach yoga. I'm gonna be so tired.

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie?
    Sound of Music!
  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
Tired, SO nauseous, bloaty and dehydrated.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
Not so great. See, today was my 5 year anniversary and I was up to doing absolutely nothing. Hubby dragged me to my Dr. appt and that went okay. No US or really anything baby related, they just checked my vitals and made sure I was doing okay. Found out I have very low blood pressure (which explains the dizziness at least) and they gave me a prescription for zofran because I'm 15lbs down from where I started on this rollercoaster. Also tonight I started spotting and am convinced that "pregnant brain" and "logical brain" in my case are mutually exclusive. May have melted down a couple times already and had a pretty spectacular panic attack. Ugh.

    4. When is your first or next appointment? July 18 but I'm going to call the tech that did my first US and maybe schedule a visit for next week if the spotting gets worse. Anxiety is not my friend right now and I just can't wait two weeks.

    5. Rants/raves/whatever: I seriously wish a medically induced coma were a viable option to get me through this pregnancy. I'm a freaking wreck emotionally, physically, mentally. I know it will be worth it in the end but I miss the innocence of not knowing just what could go wrong.

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie? Mulan.

  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) sore boobs and bloating

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
Really anxious. Lack of symptoms is messing with my head
    4. When is your first or next appointment?
First appointment is in 10 days
    5. Rants/raves/whatever
I hate comments my mil keeps making about me showing. It's just bloat and left over from dd1
    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie? Not a kid movie but I watched Top Gun all the time

  • 2.How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
my lack of symptoms scare me. If I didn't know I was pregnant I would just think I was off. Nothing sounds good to eat and I'm tired, but I'm home for the summer and chasing my one year old is
     so exhausting!

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
Not sure how to feel...I can't feel excited and I don't want to expect to feel disappointed if that makes sense.

    4. When is your first or next appointment?
    Today. I'm nervous.

    5. Rants/raves/whatever : Reading your posts make me feel better! Thanks for sharing ladies:)

    6. Favorite childhood movie : The Neverending Story or The Goonies.
  • @MrsLittleMac I'm so sorry they didn't do an ultrasound to ease your mind! Fx that the spotting goes away and you can get an u/s sooner!
  • 1. Tell us about yourself (if your first time participating)
Had a MC last October that started at 7 weeks. That was my first pregnancy, and I'm 39, so totally nervous about this whole thing now. Two weeks ago, in week 7 I woke up one morning and boobs suddenly didn't hurt and all prego symptoms were gone. I had very minor spotting, then the next day actually bleeding. :( Went to ER but ultrasound only showed gestational sack, no yolk or anything. So... I've been avoiding these boards because I was convinced I wasn't pregnant any more.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
Up and down. Yesterday I had sore boobs and a little nausea/dizziness again. So I def still have hCH, just not sure if baby's ok.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
F-ing anxious! Now with stronger symptoms again, I've been fantasizing about seeing the HB and telling people, but then I stop myself and try to prepare for another D&C.

    4. When is your first or next appointment?
    First appt is tomorrow afternoon.

    5. Rants/raves/whatever
Wasn't happy that my doc just sent me to the ER when I called crying with bleeding. Then the tests were inconclusive and the ER doc said that I should get a second HCG test around 48 hours later to see if it's going up or down. I called doc's office and they just  told me to keep my appt. So 2 weeks of high anxiety! Then, I got an automated call, after the office was closed, confirming three appt times for tomorrow. WTF? I called and they were like - "You have your doc's appt, a blood draw, and a US. I don't know why they didn't confirm that with you."
Sure, no prob. Hubby and I will just rearrange our whole day to fit in appts we didn't know we had. I'm thinking of changing docs once I know everything's ok. Don't feel like this woman actually cares about us much.

Okay, thanks for letting me rant. I needed that.

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie?
Tough one. Either the Goonies or Princess Bride.

  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) Super nauseous and already have heartburn.. I also have to pee a lot and feel super bloated and tired all the time with sore breasts.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) I am still doing ok taking it one day at a time and being happy about this pregnancy. Will feel better when I see heartbeat.

    4. When is your first or next appointment? Tomorrow is my nurse apt and my ultrasound is next Monday the 11th!!

    5. Rants/raves/whatever I am already noticing I don't want to eat the normal foods I like..?

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie? Wow can't just pick one.. Goonies, Flight of the navigator and of course Labyrinth...
  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
    nauseous, hungry, annoyed, tired. :-)

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
    medium, trying not to worry.

    4. When is your first or next appointment?
next appt is in Aug (except for a blood draw).

    5. Rants/raves/whatever
having some brown CM and it's been hard not to worry.

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie?
hard to say, maybe "Sound of Music".

  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) - tired and forgetful - naps are great - when I remember to start them on time so that they fit with other things I have to do in life

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) - pretty good - still look at the TP for blood though

    4. When is your first or next appointment? had an ultrasound yesterday and baby is measuring a day ahead - which fits given that I wasn't sure of my O date between 2 options and was going with the later one - the earlier one fits. Nuchal translucency booked for August 2nd - so baby is already changing our move timeline (we were planning to leave on the 29th of July - but apparently even though the paperwork says 11w to 13w6days it means 11w6days is the earliest... Whatever, not worth arguing. Makes the move less leisurely but we'll deal. Have to book a prenatal physical before I go too.

    5. Rants/raves/whatever - seriously stressed about this move - and why does the SSA website say 2-3 weeks to get a SSN and not make a clear note that it is 2-3 months if you're over the age of 12?! I declared citizenship in February and then procrastinated on the SSN because I thought it could be done in less than a month. AND the SSA doesn't return my freakin' calls...

    6. GTKY: what is your favorite childhood movie? Muppet Family Christmas! It is my happy movie - maybe I should watch it after I call the SSA (again) tomorrow...

  • @joyful08 Thank you! To be fair the bleeding didn't start until several hours after my appt... I mostly wanted to just make sure the nausea and dizziness and such were "normal". As long as the spotting doesn't get too much worse I'll hold out for the 18th... but my tech is great. If I call up freaking out they'll be able to get me in quickly for an U/S. So that makes me feel better haha.
  • 2. How are you feeling? (Symptoms)
holy nausea! All day long. Two days in a row I finally puked (with my first, I puked daily starting at 6 weeks, today I'm 7 weeks, so I was getting worried, because with my angel I didn't puke but twice the whole 12 weeks I was pregnant). My boobs look like a super model, but they hurt so bad! And the fatigue is real, sooo tired.

    3. How are you feeling? (Anxiety)
better. As I said, I finally puked two days in a row and I'm so nauseated all day, I'm starting to feel like this is real. But I still haven't scheduled my first appointment because part of me thinks I won't make it. :(

    4. Next appointment?
I don't have on scheduled yet. I actually did call today when I got off work! But they were closed. I'm thinking 2-3 weeks. I'm putting it off because that's when we found out about my MMC last pregnancy

    5. Rants/raves/whatever:
I was never a part of an online forum in previous pregnancies, but this one I just felt like I needed a little extra support. Although I never post, I think it does help to read what others are experiencing! Thanks for the support, and thank you for posting because it's definitely helping my nerves.

    6. Favorite childhood movie:
    the sound of music! <3
