Wake times

Just curious how long your LO stays up between naps and if you keep them up longer between the last nap of the day and bedtime?

Re: Wake times

  • My daughter is 6 months old she stays up for like 2 - 2 1/2 hrs sometimes 3 I let her nap whenever she wants and sleep however long she wants sometimes that's 15 mins sometimes 45 mins occasionally 2 hrs. She is a great sleeper usually in bed for the night no later than 11 and sleeps all night until like 8 am before she's up ready to eat and play for a little before going back to bed for a few more hours before she's actually up for the day.

  • My son is about 5.5 months and still can't be awake more than 1-1.5 hours in the morning, 1.5-2 hours during the day, and a max of 2.5 in the evening (and more often it's only 2), seemingly regardless of nap duration.
  • Currently in the 5th leap. Things were going good for awhile now she's back to being grumpy so she's usually up no longer than an 1.5. She'll take a cat nap about 530/6 for about 30min. We start her bed time routine at about 8/8:30. She wakes up about twice during the night.
  • My DD is 6 months today. Her wake times are 2-2.5 hours during the day, but can go 3+ for last awake time before bed. If it's longer than 3 hours in the evening, i'll usually try to get her to take a catnap in the swing.
  • It's sounds like we're pretty similar. Two hours of awake time between naps. Before bed is kind of a crap shoot. It depends on how long her last nap is. If it's short, then she's up for longer. I really try to make sure that last awake time before bed is no longer that 3 hours.

My LO is a little over 5 months and we try to start the nap routine 1.5 hours after last wakeup. But after SO gets home we usually get distracted with dinner, so the last gap is often 2 if not 2.5 hours -- it's just not intentional! She falls asleep a lot easier if we stay close to 1.5 hours. Bed time is 6:30 - 7:30.
  • LO is 5.5 months and goes roughly 1h45m-2hr between naps. Her last nap I try to have her awake around 330-4 latest. Her routine starts at 515 and in bed by 6. So usually the last nap is 2.5 hrs before bed.
  • 1.5-2 hours for my LO. It's easier for her to stretch it out longer as the day goes on though. I just look for signs that she's tired, no set nap schedule.
