Friday night I started spotting off and on until yesterday morning. My doctor told me to rest, drink fluids, schedule to see her Tuesday, and if the spotting became bright or heavy to go to the ER. My spotting stopped and my husband was convinced me and baby would be ok, but today an ultrasound confirmed no heartbeat and a collapsing gestational sac. The doctor told me I should prepare myself for cramping and heavy bleeding to start and if not to schedule a D&C.
Deep down I had been preparing myself, deep down I felt like something was wrong, but I hoped I was wrong. I'm heartbroken, yet feel numb at the same time.
