Why my pregnant self is out of breath

pregnacy has been full of new stuff. I love (most)of it but this lack of breath thing has been new and I forget to take it easy! Hoping other moms to be have been able to laugh about this too.
-getting up from my leaned back office chair (yet I continue to lean back anyway so comfy)
-stupidly running (yes!) back into the office for my forgotten keys (preggo brain!)
-bending over to pet my two dogs
-talking my girlfriends ear off while walking outside in 80 degrees (I'll hv to finish my story later I guess!)
-getting excited about my first post on the bump!
note to self: remember to breathe!

Re: Why my pregnant self is out of breath

  • Stairs were my worst enemy...
  • Loading the player...
  •  This. My semi-mobile, 35 lb, now awkwardly shaped almost 2 year old who is trying to live a "normal" life in his spica cast. God this gets more exhausting as my belly grows and grows.

  • Brushing my teeth. You'd think I'd run a few miles.
  • Walking up *any* hills (even low-grade) or stairs... Or bending down and fixing the copy machine at work.
  • Rolling over in bed.
  • Getting in and out of the car.

  • Standing for too long. Is that just me?
  • Giving my 2 yo a bath!
  • YES! I feel SO out of shape. Stairs are killer, and I live in a 2 story house. When I walk in our neighborhood, we have a VERY small hill that used to be mildly challenging during a run. Now, just a walk up the hill is a struggle and I'm out of breath. Sometimes, just getting off the couch to go fill up my water bottle is enough.

  • So happy to know we're in the same boat! Love the two year old pic! And standing can be exhausting for me too lol
  • I had to take our new vacuum cleaner out of the box.
  • It seems like I'm always out of breath lol. Today it happened when I was taking groceries out the cart at the supermarket, by the time I was on my out the store I was short of breath and sweating smh lol
  • Anything besides sitting gets me out of breath.
  • Laying on my back. Getting out of bed. Climbing the stairs in my house. Oh the list just goes on and on!
  • Lots of what's been said already, but SINGING! I love to sing (although I am not very good). But as soon as I start singing, I am out of breath feeling like I am going to pass out! So sad! I miss my shower concerts. Haha!

  • Riding in the car with DH driving, he asked me to get him something from the backseat. The effort of turning around and reaching for the thing and then handing it to him... I'm pathetic.

Uuugh that happened to me with DD.  This baby is much lower and not pressing on my lungs as much, but if I'm slouching too much it definitely affects my breath control!
