TTC After a Loss

Not TTC-Related--I need a good bra!

OK, I have a kind of left-field question.

I've been trying to update my wardrobe this summer and I've bought a few cute tops that have interesting straps or shapes for which you shouldn't wear a regular bra. Going bra-less is not an option for me. I got resized yesterday at Victoria's Secret, which gave me a laugh because she was very wrong. She swore I was a 32 C, which made me have more boob out of the bra than in. We landed on 32-34 D, but I don't like their bras. Does anyone have a recommendation for where to get a bra that is supportive and also "minimal" so that it doesn't show? I've also tried "stick in" individual cups without luck. I'm willing to buy online as well.

  • @wishilivedinflorida I do not have any advice on this since I am in a similar boat, I am a 32D as well! I have strapless bras that you can arrange straps however you want, because if I wear it strapless it feels like I am spilling out all over, but it is so bulky and easily seen under a top.

  • @lilylover27 I agree about strapless bras. Not fair!
  • @Wishilivedinflorida I got a corset bra when I bought my wedding dress (at Alfred Angelo), and I know you can just go buy a bra there if you want.  It was pricey, but I love it.  It's great for going strapless, although I usually use mine for dresses and not tops by themselves.  So, a corset bra could work or may not depending on your style of tops.  You can get them offline and other places as well, but it's the only thing that allowed me to not have straps and also not feel like they're at my knees or falling out everywhere. FYI, I'm larger also 36DD.

  • @Wishilivedinflorida- I like the maidenform t shirt bra I think you can get them at Target. I like it because it is supportive but doesn't show through tshirts. Im a 36C but haven't gotten sized in forever. I have been putting it off ttc bec I figure ill get sized spend all this money on new bras and then my size will change. Maybe I should just do that at new ttc strategy lol.
  • @Wishilivedinflorida i really like maidenform bras. they're soft but supportive and reasonably priced compared to other brands. I'm not a fan of VS bras either, i think they run small and every style pushes my boobs up to my chin which may have been fine 10 years ago but now I'm over it lol

  • If you are okay with less support a bralette is fantastic. I have different ones that work with different shirts. And they're soooo comfortable!
