How far along are you? EDD?   11 weeks 2 days today, 1/23/17

How are you feeling?   I am feeling pretty darn good still. I have been SOOOO lucky this first tri with symptoms only including fatigue, sore nipples, and dry eyes. That's it!

R/R/Other:    Only 17 days until my first appointment you guys! Jeeeeezuz it has been so long waiting for this, and it still feels forevers away.  Like soooo far away. I am just praying that baby is still growing in there.

Questions:   Has anyone else who *hasn't* experienced throwing up/morning sickness been fluctuating between gaining and losing weight? I figured I'd be constantly gaining weight first tri because of my INSANELY HUGE appetite and all the crappy foods I've been eating, but I stepped on the scale this morning and had lost two pounds. WEIRD

GTKY - Name one of your favorite movies! I don't know why I picked this GTKY, you guys. I love so many movies so naming one is difficult. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is pretty high up there but if I had to pick one, I guess I'd go with "Moulin Rouge" with Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. I was OBSESSED when it came out and have seen it a gazillion times. I just love the beauty of the sets (Baz Luhrman rocks!) and the music is amazing!

How far along are you? EDD? 10+4 / 1.27.17

How are you feeling? Today? Really tired. In general, pretty good. It is 6:00AM here and I am already thinking about the nap I'm going to take as soon as I get home.

R/R/Other: So anxious to get out of 1st Tri it isn't funny. I'm also started to get really excited/impatient about telling our families. I've only told my coach at the gym and my best friend. We're planning on telling everyone the week of the 18th.

    Questions: None at the moment!

@kellybean1988 I haven't been throwing up, but I also haven't been weighing myself regularly at home. But I do think I've been fluctuating a bit based on how my clothes fit. Especially my gym clothes. I'll have a week where they fit fine, then the next I feel like a stuffed sausage. Then the next week they're fine again.

GTKY - Name one of your favorite movies! This is a hard question. I love movies. I've always loved Lord of the Rings, and I never, ever tire of watching any of the movies. When I was in college and had a ton of homework to do, I would have a LotR marathon and play them back to back while I studied.

  • How far along are you? EDD?  11w3d. Jan 21

How are you feeling? Fine. My gag reflex is kicking up... rarely any nausea to accompany it. Just gag frequently, it's not fun.

R/R/Other:  My first appointment is in 1 1/2 hours! Yay.
Also I told my friend/coworker/carpool buddy this week, I was a little worried because we were both trying and her cycles are really wacky. She's been tested and nothing wrong, but they're all over the place. Turns out she's pregnant too! She's about 5w, so still brand new for her. But I'm excited, for both of us.

Questions: Nope. I'm going to annoy the doctor today with all of them.

GTKY - Name one of your favorite movies! Only one? My favorite as a child (and so held very dear) is The Last Unicorn. Best movie ever! The animation was seriously well done for that time (and even today actually and the cast for voices are all HUGE actors today. America did the theme song... seriously it's awesome. Plus great movie!
  • How far along are you? EDD?  11+4? I think? If I open my app to check mobile bump gets mad at me EDD is Jan 18

How are you feeling? Good aside from the random bouts of insomnia and exhaustion

R/R/Other:  My SIL brought her pukey kids to my MIL's last week, gave it to them and the grandkids that live there and then expected us all to carry on as normal and get together with everyone this weekend. Y'all  no. I don't need the stomach flu on top of pregnancy. And I don't need a 1 year old with it either. Not cool.

    Questions: None at the moment

GTKY - Name one of your favorite movies!  Dirty Dancing will forever live in my heart!
  •  How far along are you? EDD?  10+3, 1/28/17

How are you feeling? Exhausted. I napped every day this weekend, I can't help it. Other than that, really good!

    R/R/Other:
I didn't sleep well last night because I was so thirsty and drank a ton of water before bed, so I was up four times to pee. On a good note, the spotting I had been having since about 7-8 weeks seems to have stopped. I hope it stays that way, because it was stressing me out even though my doctor and my fellow TTGP grads had all assured me it was fine.

    Questions: Nothing today.

@kellybean1988 I was actively trying to lose weight when I found out, so I was weighing myself weekly. I just continued because I thought it would be a good way to track my gain as well. It's been like this... up 1, down 2, up 1, down 1, up 2, same, same, down .5.
So normal fluctuations. I'd say you're fine.
I think we're set in a mind set of nothing is different, but it is. Our body is still burning those extra calories like crazy... I wouldn't go crazy, but it sounds right to me.

I know! I'm so excited. I felt like it would never get here. Your's will be here before you know it

  • How far along are you? EDD?  10wks today (would be 11+1 but OB changed it bc O'd late) 1/31 now

How are you feeling? Mostly great, though this morning I woke up more nauseous than usual. Hopefully just a random day. MS hasn't been an issue really. Still tired. My tailbone has started hurting, though, which I read is due to the loosening of ligaments :/ blah.

R/R/Other:  Baby is the size of a strawberry!!! I just can't wait until I can feel it move. On Thursday we're getting the Harmony test done for chromosomal abnormalities...and we'll be selecting to discover the sex :) I can't wait! Also, putting an offer on a house we LOVE tonight, so fingers crossed and prayers that it goes through! It's been a competitive market right now.

Questions: Anyone else do, or will do, the Harmony test? I'm nervous for the results, but I'd rather be as prepared and educated as I can be if there's anything wrong.

GTKY - Name one of your favorite movies! This is a hard one! I love Inglorious Bastards, all Harry Potter movies, and probably most of all Pride and Prejudice (with Kiera Knightly) I can watch all those without getting sick of them.

  • @sweetyjenj we are going to do the genetic testing on the 15th, but I think my doctor uses the MaterniT21, which as far as I understand is basically the same thing. I'm nervous, too, but like you said, I would rather know than not know. I feel like more information is always better. Fx for good results for you!

  • @sldp123 FX for you, too!! Good luck! One thing I'm nervous about it whether or not I'll be far along enough for a solid result. They say you need to be at least 10 weeks, and I'll be 10wks + 2 days. I'm calling the Dr today to see if I should push it. I don't want any ambiguity.

How are you feeling? Kinda gross and super tired today. I tossed and turned all night.

    R/R/Other:  3rd doctor's appointment next week!

    Questions: None at the moment.

How far along are you? EDD?  14 weeks today

    How are you feeling? Hungry.

R/R/Other:  ILs just visited us and oh god, they wanted to know the sex of the baby so they could know what gifts to give and now all I can picture is them showering us with all sorts of awful gender-normative garbage that I don't want without consulting us first. I kept trying to explain, "Well we're planning on doing a themed nursery and I'd prefer to not have too much gendered clothing so...." but I think it was in one ear and out the other. Sigh.

    Questions: Nope.

GTKY - Name one of your favorite movies! When Harry Met Sally. I keep expecting to rewatch it and not like it but it never gets old.

    ETA comments:
@Mylitta That's so cool about the timing for you and your friend being pregnant at the same time!
@sldp123 If it really is MaternIT21, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on it once you've done it :) I'm considering requesting it in addition to quad screening for peace of mind but am curious how it compares to other more popular tests.

Is RLP making anyone else hate moving with a passion? I seriously never want to stand up after sitting in one place for a while.

Edited because I initially wrote RPL and I'm sure that's something else entirely!
  • LecoolLecool member
@katesmama0706 I've been having it pretty mild, but I am moving in super slow-mo the last few days when I get up from sitting or shift my position when sleeping to try and avoid it.

  • @katesmama0706 mine isn't bad when i move, unless i twist and reach from sitting position, and when i SNEEZE.  For some reason my sneezes are more forceful and bring on RLP.
P.s. RLP has gotten better since I started stretching more.

  • @sweetyjenj omg the sneezing. RLP + pee holding in
  • I heard stronger kegal muscles make labor and delivery easier, so I've been working on those muscles lately...which helps with the sneeze&pee

  • Lol. Every time I sneeze my husband looks over at me and asks if I need to change. Babies do wonderful things to your body.
  • Hey guys!

Super random, TMI symptom alert here, and just wondering if anyone has experienced the same:

Every few weeks or days, I have been majorly itchy in the front crotch-al region (lol). Before pregnancy, I was pretty prone to external yeast infections. I think I've had a couple of these during pregnancy, but I always just treat it by taking an extra-strength acidophilus probiotic in the morning and that does the trick. This doesn't seem to be a yeast infection, though, as it's in a different place--I kind of wonder if the area is getting irritated every few days or so because I'm wiping so much due to frequent urination...any thoughts on this? If I leave the area alone as best I can and try to be more gentle when wiping for a day or two, it goes away. Just wondering if I am the only weirdo with this symptom!

  • @kellybean1988 I've been dealing with this quite a bit. Not as much recently but for a while it drove me nuts. I figured it was a combination of sweat drying it out (omg so hot all the time) and wiping.
  • @katesmama0706  omg I am so sorry that you're experiencing this too because it is AWFUL but also I am so glad to hear that I'm not the only one. It only gets bad every few days or so but when it's bad, it's bad!!! Thanks for making me feel like less of a crazy person.

@kellybean1988 I agree with @katesmama0706 about the sweating + frequent peeing/wiping. I've noticed that I'm way more sweaty down there, especially after working out, and it's causing some itching. Not sure if this will help you, but I've been pretty thankful that my H is such a prince and demands expensive toilet paper (usually I have no TP preferences and am annoyed at buying fancy TP). The soft TP has been really nice since I'm using it so much more. I think cheaper, rougher TP would make my lady parts more irritated.

  • @Lecool  believe it or not, sweat is not a problem for me down there, because instead of being overheated during this pregnancy, I have been constantly FREEZING! But, I bet the better quality TP is a good idea too, thanks for that!!...I wish I could do something about that at my job  though, the quality of TP here is AWFUL!

Hi Everyone!! Sorry I've been MIA for so long.  I take it day by day on how I'm feeling and usually have enough time on the computer to lurk and don't get to post much because I'm not feeling good.

How far along are you? EDD?  January 25, 11w2d

How are you feeling? OK right now, it changes by the hour :)

R/R/Other:  I am just ready for the second trimester to have more energy and less nausea!  Dr. Put me on Vit. D supplements because I am deficient.  I think I already feel better emotionally - imagine that.

Questions:  None right now.  Just trying to go about my way.

@lecool @kellybean1988 when I was in college my roommates got into a fight about not taking turns buying TP so one of them (to punish us maybe) bought the cheapest stuff possible. I totally BYOTP for like 9 months.
@cabu14 glad you're starting to feel better! Hopefully it keeps improving as the first trimester fades
