How far along? 23 weeks!

What size is baby? as big as a grapefruit, I believe.

How are you feeling? Better than previous weeks! Still tired and a bit itchy.

Upcoming appointments? Just had my anatomy scan. Everything looks alright according to the doctor. Next appointment is in about 2 weeks, and it will be the GD test.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Nothing right now.

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what? I'm mostly just hoping that I can get some decent photos throughout the years of me and my child. My dad is a photographer, so I have hundreds of high quality photos from my childhood, but I'm the photographer out of my husband and I, so I'm hoping I can train my husband to take some sweet, candid pictures.

I feel fantastic! Minus some ligament pain here and there, life could be worse.

Rants/Raves/Questions:

My 4th of July has been boring and miserably hot because we're at my in-laws'. I can't do water sports being pregnant and there's just not much else to do. I read some Harry Potter because why not? At least my SIL brought me a McFlurry!

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what?
Boat and beach day pictures are my favorite. There's something about a baby wrapped up And snuggled in a beach blanket!!

How are you feeling? Great! Laid out at the pool all day and it was wonderful

Rants/Raves/Questions: pulled the trigger and wore a 2 piece to the pool today and I'm so glad I did! It was great to feel normal

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what? Hmmm... Haven't thought of that. Not sure of anything particularly special

How are you feeling? absolutely horrible between the puking all night long, 3rd yeast infection and heart burn I feel drained.

Upcoming appointments? Glucose test tomorrow

Rants/Raves/Questions: loving setting up for my little person it is starting to feel real. However I did have a bad spill the other day when I took my other kids fishing I missed a gopher hole and sliced my knee open I was worried about my baby more than me. I'm not aloud to do much according to my DH he is taking kids out fromnow on while I rest scared him more because I walked in with my whole knee ripped open.

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what? Snuggling I have a picture of me and my other two snuggling it is some of my favorite pictures tiny baby curled up on your chest nothing more perfect to look at. Mind you I do have a picture of my 7 year old at 4 months in a giant box of packing peanuts with a sign that says return to sender that one I find to me my best laugh picture.

How far along? 24 weeks! V-day! Can't believe I'm 6 months pregnant!

What size is baby? Cantaloupe

How are you feeling? Feeling pretty good! The past few weeks I've been feeling good and really enjoying pregnancy! I thought I was going to be miserable the entire 9 months.

Upcoming appointments? Nothing till July 23

Rants/Raves/Questions: Cant complain. Things have been going well. Getting lots done. Dad comes home Saturday to help DH remodel our basement. I'm so excited for that!

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what? Playing in the pool, or having a catch. I love sports so I can't wait to be out in the yard with DH teaching him how to play sports.

Tired. I just have moments where my battery feels completely drained and I can't do anything but nap.

28 week appt in two weeks with GD test

Rants/Raves/Questions:

I'm ready for maternity leave. I told work I'd work until the baby is born but I'm already ready for a break. I found out that my work is moving to another office and they are reassigning us to new clients, so my maternity leave will be a fresh start. I feel like I'm working out a really long notice because of this. I wish I would have planned to leave work at 38 weeks.

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what?
I wanna take more family photos this time around. I was never in the pic or deleted them because I felt ugly or fat. I want to be part of more pictures.

What size is baby? Not sure how this works but baby is the size of kale supposedly O.o

How are you feeling? Bored lol I'm officially off work (with the hope of getting some contract work for the summer but it's not looking good). But pregnancy wise I'm feeling good - just wish hubby would be able to feel him kicking.

Upcoming appointments? I did my GD blood/pee test today but my OBGYN follow up is next week so I'll find out the results then.

Rants/Raves/Questions: For us 26 weekers, we're technically in our last week of second trimester no?

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what? I think I just want a ton of pictures of us together having fun, as a whole family. Not just me and baby, not just baby, not just hubby and baby (even though he HATES his picture taken), I'm hoping we can get a bunch with all of us.

How are you feeling? This was the first week I've felt really crappy. I'm over worked, overtired, my feet are swollen, I've been grumpy. I just want to feel normal. I had a meltdown this morning and I'm taking it easy today.

Upcoming appointments? Not until
the end of the month. Just had a check up last week.

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what? I just want to be comfortable having my photo taken with my child. I avoid being in front of the camera whenever I can.

How are you feeling? I am cramping and having lower back pain today. My neausea is a hundred times better this past week, which is nice.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I got babies room cleaned out so now I can work on painting DS's old dresser and buy a crib.

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what? Doing anything. I cherish every photo of me and DS even if I think they are terrible. However, one day those candid shots will be the only thing I have left of my kids being kids and eventually the only thing left of me for them.

How are you feeling? Ok. My back is killing me, but that's from carrying around the toddler all weekend. We spent the weekend with my in-laws who we don't see very often. With the stranger anxiety only mama will do

Rants/Raves/Questions: i don't understand how people can live without A/C. I just don't get it. I want it to be cold...ice cold.

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what? Everything. I love the candid shots, but I don't have many of us because I'm usually alone with her all day. And I rarely see H or anyone else taking photos. Maybe I need to be more vocal about wanting pics. Maybe I should get a selfie stick!

Pretty good. Some nausea at night again though.

Tomorrow for a growth scan because of the gestational diabetes and my kidney disease.

Thanks @bnsmith85! I'm sure the time will go by fast, and they are very supportive at my job. 14+ weeks seems hard but if I make it through I'll get to stay with my little man through the end of the year which will be 100% worth it.

What size is baby? a 7/11 double gulp!

How are you feeling? Squished. I feel full all the time even if I just eat a little bit of food. And at night it's like my stomach is so heavy and uncomfortable. 14 more weeks of increasing discomfort?

Rants/Raves/Questions: The peeing every 30 minutes is really outrageous.

GTKY: I'd love to have a photo of my child and me doing... what? I don't even know. DH doesn't know how to work a camera pretty much at all and I'm the photographer for the baby home/orphanage I work at and so I feel like it will be harder to take photos of me with the baby..

@kmolleltz ... Thought of you last night. There's a show called Naked and Afraid XL where survivalists try to survive 40 days naked in the wilderness with basically a pot for boiling water and a machete (sp?)... Anyway they're doing this season in the Lebombo mountains. One of the survivalists was arriving on the first episode last night and said "there's Fahrenheit, there's Celsius, and then theres South Africa hot." Lol... I thought, poor kmolleltz! I will be attempting not to complain about the heat this summer because of that lol

@bnsmith85 I think we're pretty lucky here. The town I live in is at the base of a mountain and so we are higher in elevation than other areas which keeps us from getting too unbearable in hot season. The hottest months and Dec/Jan/Feb and even then it rarely hits 100 F. Right now is cold season actually an at night its getting down to 50 F (with no heaters or insulation!)

But when we went to Dar es Salaam in April at the tail end of hot season... the sun and humidity almost killed me... hah I could NOT live in Dar.
