yesterday we went to Buy Buy Baby to look at big items so I could make sure H and I are on the same page while I build our registry online. (And he effing broke my toe trying to open this stupid stroller lmao! It's not actually broken but we're def not getting that stroller)

GTKY: what was your first car
A little black Chevy Cavalier coupe, loved that thing! I paid for half of that then smashed it to bits (of course) and my next car was my very favorite- a Chevy Tracker, little red soft top manual transmission, God that car was so fun to drive!

My boobs! Wowza I went from a 34 B to a 36 D. The headaches come and go but at least the nausea is gone!!

What are you doing to plan for baby's arrival? We announced our pregnancy on Facebook. So now I can feel free to wear tight shirts without everyone asking.

I am SO nauseous. Why is this happening now?! One last hurrah? I've acknowledged that I'm just going to feel sick until January. End of story. (So dramatic)
When's your next appointment? I'm not sure. Switching back to the midwives who delivered dd1. So I guess 16 weeks.
GTKY: what was your first car?
I got a Chevrolet Aveo in high school. It weighed like 15 lbs and would spin in the snow when I'd hit the breaks. Making it the ideal car for a 17 year old to drive.
12 weeks. Poppy is the size of a ripe apricot (thanks for the clarification app--I would have assumed unripe otherwise. Haha), toy soldier, or a macaroon).

i think we are buying a mini van this week. That's what you do when you have 3 kids right?! eek

The horrible nausea is coming in everyother day waves. I'm taking this as a good sign. We went walking around in some poorly cooled antique stores yesterday and I seriously had to stop more than once to catch my breath--this is not good! Haha
rave--we heard the poppys heart beat last week so that's super exciting.

14 weeks (they moved my due day forward a day at my scan, I didn't expect them to move it officially but apparently so)
What are you doing to plan for baby's arrival?
I'be been reupholstering a rocking chair and painting some furniture for the nursery. I seem to have finally decided to embrace it and believe that it's real.

Really tired still but nausea is getting better. Starting to enjoy being pregnant which is awesome.
When's your next appointment? 16wks midwife appointment so couple more weeks to go. Must say I am more chilled after my ultrasound.

TW: My midwife practice is an OB/midwife hybrid. I love the midwives. My last two pregnancies, I dealt exclusively with the OBs, because both ended in miscarriage. The experience was terrible, and I was too anxious to enter that office again prior to the second trimester. It's 10 min from home. The doctor I've been seeing is an hour away.

14 weeks today!! Hello, 2nd trimester! Baby is the size of a peach. (And various other peach-sized items.)
What are you doing to plan for baby's arrival?
I bought maternity shorts on Friday at Motherhood Maternity and they have changed my life completely. Does that count? ;-)
We moved into a new house (in a new state) about 2.5 months ago. Now that summer is really picking up (we're in the high desert), we're thinking about changing our plan for which room will become the nursery. (The one we had planned -- currently the guest room -- gets pretty darn hot.) But, that's as far as we've gotten.

Rants: my in-laws have been in town since Thursday. Leaving Tuesday morning (when I also go out of state for work for 6 days). I actually really like all of them (MIL, FIL, BIL), but... my MIL has to be busy every.single.second.of.the.day. And, relies on either DH or me to direct her with a new task. And I'm over here like, um--it's 90 degrees and Sunday afternoon. Hanging out in my hammock with a book and lemonade is about as much as I want ANYONE to do right now. I work 50-60 hours a week, and DH and I currently building new paddle boards and surf boards, and just starting renovating a rad old camper van. I like to stay busy, too, but damn woman. Have a drink and sit down!
Raves:
DH and I found a sweet old camper van for a killer price today. Demo is already done and we are pumped to redo it!! (Also, I'm married to a total dreamboat who is my best friend and favorite person ever. I can't believe how lucky I got.)

Nothing right now. Just some serious R&R before I go back to work in a few weeks!

The bleeding has stopped! Hooray! We had a scary couple of days last week, which led us to get an ultrasound & check on little bean. All is well with baby, but I have some blood clotting issues. The doctor didn't seem too worried, so I hope all is resolved.
