eviction notice

Anyone else get an eviction notice yet?
I saw the Dr. today and he said if baby does not come by Aug. 2nd, then I will have a c/section that day.
I am really hopeful I will have a July baby, but so glad to know there is a final deadline just in case. A countdown. And its only 33 days or less!

8/4 here, C-section at 39 weeks, 1 day.  I have a chiari malformation and we're aiming to avoid the pushing strain of labor on my intercrannial/spinal pressure.

  • @searchingforameaning - My husband is going to have a field day with that.  Crap.  Totally didn't even think to Google before picking a date.  [And not meaning to start a political discussion on the Bump.]
  • Mine is 7/29! I'll be 38w4d.

jealous for your july date. My OB wont like me schedule before 39 weeks. Says there is a new national guideline and can't go early without an amnio... that being said he also does not think I will make it to eviction day. Just sucks to have to go into labor first when it will end in a c/s no matter what.

  • All I have is the week of 7/25 no date yet. But that'll be the week if he's not here by then!
  • @searchingforameaning I was actually a little disappointed when I found out the date... All along my doc said I wouldn't go past 38 weeks which in my head meant I wouldn't go INTO my 38th week. Then she added a whole 4 days onto that. Gonna be a long 4 days

  • Not until 8/22 here! I'll be 39w3d. My first c/s I was 38w4d but my OB got scolded by the hospital for it. I had borderline low fluid so he wanted to get LO out but the nurse manager on the OB floor tried to have me cancelled because I wasn't 39w. He said it was a big topic of discussion at meetings for months afterward!

  • He will be here no later than 39 weeks or August 10th. It scares me to think how fast it's going to go even if it feels slow as molasses right now.
  • August 8th! 39w1d
  • My csection is scheduled on August 3rd at 8:15am (39 weeks). Dr will not allow me to go past that due to hypertension.
  • My c/s is scheduled for 8/16. 39 weeks and 6 days. That was the first date during the week of my 39th week that was open. But my OB doesn't think I'll make that. I'm on bedrest for right now due to possible pre-eclampsia. If it's confirmed then I'll go during the week of 37.

I'm scheduled for 27 July, just a few days before my due date, but I don't think I'll make that. I'm dialated to 1cm and have BH and slightly painful contractions all the time.
  • Aug 19th section over here (39 weeks) bc of placenta previa and a previous c-section.

  • Aug 21st! My due date =) I am high risk for multiple reasons so they will not let me go a day past my EDD.

  • Im somewhat shocked by how many won't even let you go full term? Is it all for high risk reasons?

my first did have an eviction date but it was at like 41 weeks some odd days. And then baby 2 was forced out early because of igur and other high risk complications- but even that was an unexpected sudden removal.

  • @rubredvelvet, I was wondering the same thing. I just figured that most of these ladies had to have CS. I was kind of hoping for an induction at 39w1d,  due to GD, but after finding out that baby is pretty small. (Only estimated to be 6lb 1oz at 39 weeks) I'm hoping to let him cook a little longer. I would however be ok with an induction at 40w1d!
  • Either 7/22 or 7/29, hopefully with an induction.  My liver is not functioning the way it's supposed to so I will likely be looking at 37w1d to start the process.  Not sure why my liver doesn't like me being pregnant but hoping the MFM specialist can help with some answers next week.  So far, not a ton of concern but waiting today for a blood test to come back to rule out pre-eclampsia.

  • Doc checked my fluid level today. All is good, no sign of baby coming early. With that said, he gave me two dates for eviction notice. My EDD is 7/30 but he said 41 wk is the cutoff so either get induced by 8/2 or 8/9 at the very latest!

August 9th!  That will be exactly 39 weeks. My group has a 39 week policy as well unless I go into labor on my own before then. Which would suck since I'm having a caesarean anyway.

I'm in the same boat! At my appointment yesterday, my doctor said we may be doing the c-section early since I'm having minor contractions and cramping. I'd rather not have to go into labor and end up with a c-section.

August 4th also, @6am!!! Fasting required.....Gawd I'm going to be so hungry.
  • I am curious as to how your doctors are figuring "eviction" dates. I have heard we will keep an eye on my progress and not let me "get too far past my due date," but no specific date of "baby must come out or we will need to induce/take the baby out." I completely get the need to reduce medical complications - especially when the pregnancy is impeding important body functions.

For those who are not experiencing medical complications - how did your doctor/midwife decide the date?
  • @satto_takai - it sounds like most of these women are having scheduled C sections. But my old OB practice would induce 10 days after your due date. My current office said that they don't like to go much more than a week past due date but the actual date depends on the pregnancy. They'd induce at 39 weeks if it seemed better for the baby.
  • My doc offered a scheduled date to induce just at my last appointment but there is a policy it can't be before 39 weeks.  She said that it's a choice I have if I want to do it like that.  For multiple reasons, unless baby comes early, we may choose to induce just a few days before due date.   Just going to see how things play out and she says we can always change our mind.  She had major concerns with me going past 40 weeks and I'm not high risk.  I agree with PP though, most of the previous posts look to be c-sections that are scheduled.

Repeat c-section over here. This will be my 3rd and Dr. said anytime after 38weeks. So we're looking at Aug. 18th or 19th which will make me a few days over 38wks. I can't believe it's soooo close!

  • @satto_takai yeah I'm a repeat c/s. My OB doesn't really prefer VBAC and I wasn't super into trying that anyways. Otherwise I don't have anything making me high risk. He chose the date for me based on his OR schedule and the fact he's on a scheduled vacation near the time of my due date.

  • My doctor told me they will not let me go past my due date due to gd being treated with insulin. So August 6th would be the absolute latest!!!

They're monitoring his size and movement every week, and will start checking dilation and effacement either this upcoming week or the next. They said they'd have a pretty good idea if he will be coming early or not. If he has no signs of coming by week 39, we will schedule an induction for that week (or c section if he is measuring very large which it seems like he won't be at this point).

  • My due date is August 4. They will not do inductions until 39+ weeks without medical reasons or already active labor. I think I am just going to play it by ear. They have put the decision in my hands. I could have an induction the last week of July, if I want. Baby has been measuring a week ahead and I do live quite a drive from the hospital. Induction could keep my from having a roadside delivery lol
  • I'm due august 3. My doc said a long time ago he would induce me at 39 weeks if I want, as long as I'm dilated and effaced. My first two kids I had short labors, 3.5 and 3 hours. So I'm a little worried about getting to the hospital in time if this baby comes any faster. Also, my BP spiked pretty good while I was in labpr, so I'd feel better if I was at the hospital. But after scheduling the rest of my appts, I won't see my own ob until 39 weeks, so I'd probably end up being a few days shy of my due date by the time an induction would be scheduled. My first baby was born at 36 weeks (pre e, went into labor on my own), and my second I was a little over 38 weeks, again went into labor on my own. So I'll be surprised if i make it to an induction, but who knows!
  • I am being induced at 39 weeks if she hasn't come prior to that.
