Hey guys! Congrats to all the first time mamas out there! This will be a weekly post that I will try to get done on Sunday or Monday every week. So let's start off with some questions! this format is a work in progress, so throw out suggestions if you have any. I'm keeping it short and simple this time around!
How far along are you?
How are you doing?
GTKY: Will you be using a pregnancy journal? Which one?
Re: FTM Weekly Check In (7/3)
No pregnancy journal for me. I will probably take pictures once a lil bump action starts.
TW: I've already had my betas run twice and my progesterone was higher at 3 weeks than it was at 7 weeks before my previous loss. I'm taking that as a good sign!
1) 5 weeks exactly
2) I'm okay, dealing with PGAL brain (sounds like a common theme). Though, my loss last cycle was 4 weeks, 6 days....so today was a milestone for me! That actually helped a little. Also, having my betas double this week was a relief. My Dr wants to do a US at 6.5 weeks. I'm nervous for that.
3) I've tossed the idea around, but I'll probably just do belly pics.
Me: 37, DH: 36
Started TTC #1: 9/2015
Preliminary labs/testing @ 6 months: TSH, A1c, progesterone, prolactin, SA, HSG all normal
BFP: 5/19/2016, M/C: 5/29/2016
BFP: 6/22/2016 EDD 3//6/2017
5w tomorrow according to O, 6 weeks 1d according to LMP
TW - Loss Mentioned
Note: I feel like the only PGAL-poster who is not getting betas before and in between appointments. Maybe I should look into that? Thoughts? (ETA: I tested positive on Friday, so I haven't had a chance yet to contact my OB. Perhaps betas could be something I request.)
5 weeks 4 days.
Anxious, as many above me have also mentioned, due to a previous loss. Also getting more nauseated with every day that passes--mixed blessing. I feel like I wasted today by lying around, but my DH was very sweet and reminded me that it's what I needed and it's okay to rest once in a while. (I'm a fast-paced, can't-sit-still person who can always think of something to be taking care of. Morning All-day sickness is not good for that.)
I don't think so. Definitely not for the first trimester because I just want to get through it safely and not jinx it with a journal. After that, I'll take weekly bump pictures and maybe write a few letters-to-baby or something. It was fun to flip through the journal options in Barnes & Noble though!
*TW* - BFP & MC in March 2016.
BFP in June 2016; EDD March 2017.
Samuel born February 2017!
I'm 5 weeks and 5 days...EDD March 3rd
So far, I've had light nausea but no vomiting. Exhaustion kicks in mid-day so I usually take a nap in the afternoon (yay summer break!). Taking off my bra at night is so painful from all the swelling, and I'm pretty sure the pregnancy jump-started my wisdom teeth to grow in so now I have to make a dentist appointment. Still not as bad as I was expecting, although I am very fortunate to not be working yet. Hopefully any morning sickness I end up getting will stop before school starts.
No pregnancy journal but I will eventually start taking pics of my growing bump
2. Still in shock that it happened so quickly. And anxious, hoping my tests turn darker tomorrow that will make me feel better.
3. I'll do a handwritten journal just like I did with my 5 yr old , probably won't do pics for awhile, won't be able to tell until I am for awhile since I'm already overweight

AFM, I am currently 5 weeks 6 days according to my LMP. I have an ultrasound on Friday, excited for that and praying everything looks good. I'm feeling pretty well and thankfully no morning sickness yet, but I am super tired and I don't seem to be sleeping very well. I'm really restless and wake up a bunch of times during the night.
GTKY: I'm not planning on a journal because - words. I do love to take photos, so I will be documenting everything that way and can't wait to start bump photos.

Things are OK. My boobs are huge and sensitive- but not as bad as 3rd and 4th weeks. Tired and having trouble sleeping. Bloating has gotten a bit better. The last two weeks were bad- abdomen was huge by the end of the day.
I didn't even know this was a thing.

3+4! It's still so early so I'm just trying to keep trucking along and hoping everything is going well in there! I'm anxious to call my obgyn next Monday and see when they want me to come in!
How are you doing?
Great! I'm so excited and I told DH right when he got home from work. I tested that morning and it was the faintest line ever but it was blue dye so I didn't trust it. Then I couldn't stop thinking about it so I bought an FRER at lunch and there was definitely a second line! He was so excited when I told him too
GTKY:
I didn't think about buying one but now I really want to! I think I'll go to Barnes and Noble this weekend and do that! I don't really do lengthy journaling but I have a "Question a day" book that I write in daily and I really enjoy it!
