so I am SO PUMPED because today is the first day my commuter railroad offered e-tickets on your phone through an app. I was able to buy my monthly pass this morning while I had coffee. I've been commuting for 9 years and this will make my life so much easier!!!
Hi happy that I get to work from home today and its only for 4 hours 3-7 pm. I'm also happy that I got a new job offer, I may not take it but its good to know that I'm marketable lol.
I'm just excited to have a LONG, relaxing weekend ahead. I've been super tired the last couple of days and the potential for an actual nap in my future legitimately makes me giddy.

Nap? Lol what's that? My 5 year old will not allow for that.
I get to go in for my first ultrasound today (not that I will see anything but a sac, but that's ok!), and my dad and stepmom are coming for the weekend- we are going to tell them I'm pregnant
Everyone at work keeps asking if I'm pregnant... I'm NOT a good liar, but would love to wait until I at least hear the first heartbeat to tell ppl! Smh...

I told my bosses yesterday because we have very few nurses left on staff and felt it was the right thing to do in case I have to take some time off or start acting strangely. Hopefully it will light the fire under their asses to hire more people, because I currently have the largest caseload of patients to manage (50+ vs. the 15-20 that everyone else has).
We are at my parent's house for a week. Yesterday I told my mom that I have given up drinking anything but water (and my morning coffee) this summer because I am trying to get fit and healthy. It is true that I have actually started to lose a bit of weight because of working out this summer. The lie is working perfectly! I am pretty proud of myself. And, it will be good all summer long, until we are ready to tell in August. The only downside is that I can really only drink water all week. Oh well, it is healthier anyway.

Wow, that is a boat load more than everyone else! Are you like, a senior nurse or are you just that good?!
I told them we wanted to start trying, I guess I'm going to have to keep saying "no" but it's hard... especially bc it's such exciting news!
In other news, I'm a terrible mother bc I would not allow my 17 month old to walk around w 2 twenties under her chin and 1 in each hand... she now will not stop whining at me, it's been 30 minutes...

I am also currently a terrible wife bc DH and I are supposed to go to a 4th of July party on Sunday and DH is all, "I'm going to buy some O'Douls and switch out the labels w Coors labels"... I told him I don't really care that much and now we're fighting... yay!

It is pretty skunky beer! I told him if anything we need some sparkling grape juice and a bottle of Asti... problem is, we're that group of friends who just shares our alcohol... so I'd share the "champagne" and they'd know... or someone would grab one of my odouls coors, or I could snag an empty absolute btl from work and fill it with water... but someone would get a drink and know it wasn't right... gah... he refuses to hear me when I say that we are a group of nondiscriminatory drinking friends!

I'm fighting with DH right now (well, I'm fighting, he's acting like a wounded puppy who doesn't know what he did wrong) because he's a damn imbecile. DS stays home with him on his days off but he cannot pull his shit together and keep him on his schedule, lets him crawl all over and run amuck, and is constantly asking idiotic things like "what do I feed him?" even after I tell him multiple times.
DS finally slept great Monday and Tuesday night, and then got thrown off on Wednesday. He woke up twice Wednesday night and ended up in our bed, but last night was pure hell. I got up three times with him, and then when he woke again at 4AM I told DH to deal with it because I was done. Cue a screaming sniffly baby for over an hour since DH is apparently awful at getting our child back to sleep as well. It finally took me sticking him on my boob, rocking, and singing for another half hour to get him back to sleep, and then we were up for the day at 7.
Now DH doesn't know what he did wrong and says I'm shutting him out and have to talk to him. I'm so tired though of repeating the same thing over and over. And if he can't handle one child, how is he going to deal with two? I know I have to try to get my point across again but I'm just so frustrated right now.
@Scarlett830, I HATE that! DH NEVER wakes up w DD, I literally have to wake him and say "your turn!"... she's been better lately, IF she wakes up it usually just takes a few pats on the butt to get her to go back to sleep... but you have to catch her quick, if she gets into full on crying, you're up for 2 hrs... But of course, since I work 2nd shift(ish) I feel bad making him get up w her when I can sleep as long as she does! But come on, every once in a while would be damn nice!!!
And you know what pisses me off more than ANYTHING, about 75% of the time, he's up anyway and CAN'T GO BACK TO SLEEP! So why am I the one dealing w fussy britches over here while you're laying in bed, staring at the ceiling for an hr?! I can fall back asleep no problem!

The good: my blood tests to check HCG levels came back and Baby is growing at a great rate! Such a relief. Now to count down until the first ultrasound on July 20th. The bad: this heat is bringing ANTS into my house and I hate them more than anything! I'd rather battle spiders than ants!

@Scarlett830 Oh my gosh, time to burn down the house!!! hahaha.
It reminds me of the book "Charlotte's Web"... it's supposed to be a sweet story but it gives me the heebie jeebies to think of all her spider babies flying around.

@Scarlett830 I can't stop watching that video.omg. My spam- My in laws are driving me bonkers. They want us to go with them on a day trip to the beach on Sunday, which would be fine except the beach they want to go to is at least a 3 hour drive (each way) on a non-holiday weekend. yeah, no. So now DH and I are fighting about how to handle this bc they become so offended if we say no to seeing them. But I am not about to spend close to 7 hours or more in a car in one day. I am also very cranky in general...hoping it is hormones and not just me being a jerk.

It has to be your hormones! I'veI've been the same way, I don't have time for da bullshit!

@wirtlehm I officially dislike hormones. But I like your attitude on them. I'm going to try to embrace that "ain't got time for da bullshit" as a mantra in hopes that I can brush it aside lol.
