Going to my sister's wedding on Saturday. Then Monday we are going to my in laws for a cookout. Monday night we will watch the fireworks. I know Monday is not the weekend but it's holiday.
We tried to go to an outdoor family movie night but it was cancelled because of an earlier storm. Tomorrow we'll probably be hanging pictures and other general adulting. Sunday we're having a cookout and going swimming. Monday will probably be all the neighbors outside grilling and hanging out. We can see fireworks from our house.
How do you ladies plan keeping it secret if you aren't sharing if people ask why you aren't drinking? I don't drink at all our friend get together a but they all know we've been trying. We have three separate parties and we had planned to announce it this weekend but two weeks behind what we thought so we want to keep it hush hush a few more weeks.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
We both had today off because of the holiday and we spent it being super lazy. I'm hoping to have the energy to be more productive the rest of the weekend. We usually don't do much for Canada Day but we may go to see the fireworks tonight of the rain holds off
@bdesterhouse I had to attend a few functions before I was telling anyone. I had a fake alcoholic drink. (I drink mixed drinks so mine was plain juice) I also said I was on a new medication and could not have alcohol.
@bdesterhouse while we were trying but no one knew, my mil asked why I didn't try a new watermelon wine cooler she had gotten. I normally jump on the watermelon stuff, and I blamed it on the weather. I just said the heats been bothering me and I didn't want to get an upset stomach. She's not the brightest bulb in the pack so it went well but I'm not sure if it will slide with someone else. I have heard though that if people are drinking liquor to just put water or something sparkling in a glass and people don't usually notice. I always carry water with me though so my normal go to is to just say I'm drinking water right now maybe later. Not sure if this helps or not.
Think you ladies. I feel like my friends can sense it! it's like the only time they ask why I'm not drinking. Thankfully this allows my husband to drink and I'm hoping being DD will be a good enough excuse, since they know we take turns being DD.

@bdesterhouse I have also carried a drink around at parties in the past and no one has noticed I am not actually drinking it. Especially if it's beer in a dark bottle. DH will just take sips of it while we move around talking to others at the party.
@bdesterhouse my SIL said she used to order cocktails and then her husband would go make sure they were virgin. At their place she would rinse out a dark beer bottle really well and fill it with water to drink. Or she would hold and drink and her husband would drink it.

We'll relax today, and then go to BBQs tomorrow and Monday. Fun times!
Re. drinking, I found that actually carrying around a real alcoholic drink is the only thing that worked. Any other attempts to fake a hangover, fake a gin and tonic, etc. and someone would actually ask if I'm pregnant. People are rude. Cans of beer are perfect if they are available since nobody can see that the level doesn't change.
I'm liking this replace the beer with water and call it a day. That might be how I need to rock my 4th party tomorrow. Because I think my one friend is getting suspicious.

The Fourth of July is our anniversary and this will be our first. It is crazy to think that we've almost been married a year! We're going up to Door County for the weekend.
I kicked it off yesterday with an extremely cool work opportunity, relaxing and cleaning and all the napping today, furniture shopping (thanks, 4th of July sales!) tomorrow, and friends up to the new house on Monday. There will be ice cream. Happy fourth, everyone!

I am meeting some girl friends tonight for dinner. Tomorrow and the fourth have rainy weather forecasts so we will most likely stick around the house and maybe venture out to some local indoor museums.
No real plans apart from "try not to spend the whole weekend in bathroom and bed." 5th wedding anniversary is Tuesday, which is also our first actual appt with new OB. If I make it through that intact, I still have no idea what I want to do. All food sounds disgusting right now, and all the day trip things we could do sound great until I remember I have to leave the house.
I was supposed to work today but had to pick up DD because of poor inlaw decisions.... Worked out nicely though, DH was off and we were able to attend a pool party a newish friend invited us to. I think we will chill at home for 4th, DH works that night and DD starts preschool summer camp (woo hoo)(for her::cough cough::)
Trying to figure out how to gif. Damn it I really thought I figured it out.
@GlitterDragon I just figured out my mobile last week. I have galaxy s6 not sure if it makes any difference or not... if this helps what I do is search the gif I want, click on it, under the picture on the right of screen has a little menu bar, when I click that, I go to "view original picture". It will pull the gif up to its own page. I then hold my finger on the picture and a pop up appears. I click on save image. It will download the gif into your gallery. Then when I'm in the app I click add document/file icon and click "choose file" and pull it from my gallery... for example I just did this one while I was going through the steps to try and help you out. I hope it helps you and works! Feel free to ask me any question if it sounded confusing.
Re: Weekend Sunshine!
Tomorrow I am heading to a rib fest and the rest of the weekend is cleaning and relaxing. (Maybe some swimming too)

I don't even want to think about the traffic nightmare we'll be dealing with on the way home. But I'm excited to spend a few days away from
