Hi everyone, newly diagnosed pcos, intro

Hi everyone,
New to ttc but not new to the bump. I'm 29 and my husband and i have been ttc since July 2015on our wedding night. I am newly diagnosed on ultrasound with pcos ... cysts only, "normal" blood work and fairly regular periods... so I am really just trying to figure out my diagnosis since it's atypical . My gp just put in a referral to a fertility clinic to get me started on clomid but could be a 4+ month wait. Deep down I always knew I would have tttc but am somehow still shocked... I think the worst part is (even though I know this is not the case) I feel like I'm letting my hubby down. That's tough.. I had a grand idea about what our life would be like coming up on our first anniversary and it's not what I pictured. Still trying to move forward with excitement.
So just saying hi here even though I've been lurking for a while. This seems like a nice place for support and encouragement for each other when friends and family won't quite do.

Welcome friend! I'm so sorry that you have to be here, but it's definitely a place with amazing and supportive women! I totally understand what you mean about feeling like you always knew but it's still a shock and that you're letting DH down. Know that those are just feelings and not truth! Speak truth to the doubts and they will flee. Speak it 100 times if necessary! And be honest with your hubby. Let him know you need him to give extra love now as you struggle with this. Basically help him help you. But remember he's probably going through stuff in his head too, so be open to returning the favor without him risking his neck at the hands of your hormones. It's a fine line, but you'll find it! It's definitely worth staying hopeful and excited cause being upset (while needed occasionally) doesn't help anything, so you might as well try to stay positive! Fx your stay is short!

Welcome!! I also totally relate to feeling like you would have issues. My parents tried for 8 years before they finally got pregnant with me, and I had irregular periods growing up. I remember telling my husband before we even got engaged I knew I would have issues and I felt guilty not telling him that in case he wanted out just in case I couldn't have kids. Which leads to your other point of feeling like you're letting your DH down. I had a good 6 month window at the beginning where I was so adamant my husband being let down. Which I know now is complete bologna. He's my biggest support system, and I'm sure your DH will be too!!
But anyway, Welcome to the group! I hope your stay is short

Welcome. I had to wait 3 months to get in to see my RE and it sucked. I completely understand the feelings you are having. I've felt them too. There are two things that have helped me. One is talking to DH about my feelings and he has reassured me several times that he loves me no matter what, and my IF doesn't change a thing. The other thing is thinking about what you would feel if your roles were reversed- if YH had MFI would you feel like he is letting you down?

@jillwrig we are in the same boat my Dr. Has decided on PCOS as the only thing he can find but after a month full of testing and a failed surgery. We are going on Chlomid after a month of recovery from the surgery. Did you try getting into a specialized obgyn instead of a fetility endocranologyst? It only took us 1.5/2 to get into one and he has done everything this far with us. Just a thought if you feel like you can't wait. Good luck, hang in there and know you're not being unreasonable in your feelings!

Welcome to the board but I'm sorry you find yourself here! We are all very supportive and I'm sure can all relate to your feelings one way or another. We have mild MFI and so I always am worried that my DH fears that he is letting me down. I just try to go out of my way to praise him in other areas and make sure he is always feeling loved. Open communication is definitely key! Also trying to not make TTTC'ing your life, still going out on dates and enjoying each others company with no pressure!
