Re: TWW June 27-July 3!

  • I'm 10 dpo/dpiui.  I'm trying to stick to my guns and wait to test on Friday.

But this is really messing with me-- I'm taking progesterone, and of course, it creates all kinds of symptoms.  Today I've had nausea all day, worst of it was in the morning.  I'm not over the line into "I think I might puke" territory, but I can see it from where I'm standing.

Intellectually, I know that in real life, nausea kicks in a couple weeks after a BFP.  In real life, the progesterone is causing it.  But it's hard to remember that, when I *feel* so icky, and so tired of fertility treatments.
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

So extremely hopeful for you @Klake42!! Symptoms sound really promising, but I can see how that can be so frustrating at same time. I tend to feel nauseous and queasy when I'm anxious or over-excited... so of course when I'm nearing the end of TWW I feel lots of 'icky' nausea, which is so frustrating b/c I can't tell if that's my nervous stomach or some TCC magic happening - arrrrrgh!

I believe I'm about 1-2DPO, but not sure because I've been irregular lately. DH and I only BD a couple times for various reasons, and kind of annoyed at myself for letting FW come and go. I think next cycle I'm going to finally break down and get a OPK. My OB/Gyn indicated I need to OPK anyway at least twice if and when we're ready to take next steps with testing and all that jazz.

Aside from that, I'm getting excited for upcoming holiday weekend and in full 'summertime' mode :) Love, love this time of year!

  • Thanks for your support, y'all.  BFN.

I didn't even have to wait the 5 minutes for the test results, since I was spotting after I peed on the stick.

All the raw oysters and cocktails for me tonight.  And coffee this morning.  And advil.

I think I already grieved, though, when the IVF was cancelled.  My ovaries are officially retired.  Next try will involve my wife's eggs.

I don't think I'll be around here much between now and November.  Hopefully, by the time I get back, everyone I know here will have graduated.  xoxo

Aw I'm so bummed to hear that @Klake42 - worst part of TTC is that whole part that's completely out of our control. You have an awesome positive attitude, and know that special time will come for you and your wife. Many t&p for you both, keep us posted

  • My update...CD 24. Not sure how many DPO. I don't have high hopes for this cycle. We only BD'd once, maybe twice, in the FW. Last cycle we hit every day but one and that was a BFN...so holding a small sliver of hope that doing the opposite this time will bring the opposite results.
I also need to talk about how random my boob soreness has been my last several cycles. I usually have some but lately it has been really bad at times. Last cycle it even hurt under my boobs which has never happened before. This cycle nothing, no soreness at all! Obviously not a reliable symptom for me to spot. I have some unresolved anger toward the boob soreness, I think. ;) Well, really it's just that it makes me wonder what's gonna BG in with my hormones that this is all over the place where it used to be fairly consistent month to month.

  • I'm roughly 4DPO/ DPIUI, started progesterone last night and got some crazy cramps from it! Feeling sluggish, and a little lower back pain, but otherwise alright. Fingers are firmly crossed!!
