Hello! I am 25 and my husband is 28. We've been together for seven years, married and trying for almost two. We dreamed of getting married, buying a home then having a family. Check! Check! Error!
DH had his second analysis and his testosterone, sperm count and motility is low so the Doctor prescribed him daily 50mg of Clomid. We will be checking back in three months and hopefully his numbers will have improved. Doctor thinks we have a 50/50 chance with Clomid and suggested IUI being our next option if this doesn't work.. I checked with our insurance company yesterday and IUI, IVF and medication (Including Clomid) is not covered which was totally devastating to hear. We've pretty much exhausted all of our resources between our wedding and purchasing our first home so were not sure how we will ever make this happen. We are trying to stay hopeful but realistic too.. It's going to be a long road but we are ready to take it head on! I look forward to chatting with you all! ::Hugs::
Welcome to the community! Sorry about the insurance, I've been hanging around here for about a week and I only recently found out my insurance doesn't cover any fertility treatments either. I hope your stay is short!

Hi. First off, I am sorry you have to be here and I hope your stay with us is short. This is a great group of women and a great source of comfort and support.
I can understand your feelings on the lack of insurance coverage. DH and I are in the beginnings of testing and our insurance covers nothing as well. On top of that, I finished grad school a little over a year ago so we have that big loan hovering over us, as well as payments for my new car. We had purchased it after I received a promotion and pay raise at work, as my new salary would be more than enough to cover it...not even thinking we would have to worry about these types of expenses.
I hope the next few months go by fast and that you have good luck from here on out.
Hi Ladies! Thank you for the welcoming! I'm sorry we are experiencing the same issues.. Learning that insurance doesn't cover anything certainly adds to the emotional roller coaster we are on.. I hope your days come very soon!
Welcome, @NYDaisies! I'm sorry you've hit this road bump too, but know you're in good company. These women have been an amazing support! It really feels like a whole new world where you have to learn about and how to work with things you never new existed before. But it's not impossible. Just take it day by day!

Welcome to the board! That's a tough pill to swallow not having insurance coverage. TTTC is already a strain on a relationship and to add financial issues in is not helpful! My work benefits don't cover anything either.
