just curious.... Anyone else noticed their resting heart rate has increased? I was sitting in the low 60s unless I was sick. Now it's up to 71. Interesting to see the ways that the body changes when making tiny humans.
lurking from October: when I got my bfp 2 days earlier an article was published about a woman who realized her heart rate was higher randomly and it was her first sign she was pregnant. I took my hr on an app on my phone measured against it a few weeks prior and it was also higher...and voila
I googled it and apparently it has to do with increasing blood volume. I haven't had too many symptoms, mostly just bloating and my milk is drying up on my nursling but my heart rate has certainly increased!
This is how mine looked: I averaged around 50 bpm for months before my BFP. Ovulation date: 51 bpm +1: 52 bpm +2: 54 bpm +4: 56 bpm +6: 57 bpm +10: 58 bpm (BFP) +13: 59 bmp +18: 60bmp
And it's hovered around 60 bpm ever since. All of that to say, it's legit. FitBit may not be the most accurate devise to track heart rate, but it does the job well enough to show a steady, noticeable climb after conception. Pretty cool.
That's how I figured out I was pregnant! My friend told me how Fitbit showed that her resting heart rate went up. So I was looking at mine and thought OMG..... I might be pregnant LOL
Mine increased for almost all of may... And then mine went down for almost a solid 2 weeks and I proceeded to freak out that something was wrong. Fingers crossed that it's not totally accurate measure.
My best friend and I were just looking at our dashboards today and she's at 22 weeks and back to her normal resting heart rate. But it was so cool looking at how it went up so high for a while and she was "burning more calories" haha.
I am also freaking out. I had a missed miscarriage in Jan and analyzing my resting heartrate data, it had continually increased up until the point where the doc said the baby had passed -6weeks- and then constantly decreased. I am now 7+5 and have noticed that my heartrate has been constantly decreasing after the initial increase! Not much out there for info about this. Anyone have any similar experiences?

I wouldn't stress. It's definitely going to go back down, your body gets used to pumping more blood!
