Trouble TTC

Question for PCOSers

I am new to the PCOS world (went off the pill in November, diagnosed in April) so this month on Clomid was my first time ovulating in gosh knows how long, so I'm just curious if the pain is normal?  It's not super bad, but annoying enough.  It was several days during ovulation and then I had a lot of cramping/pain leading up to AF today.  Thoughts?

Re: Question for PCOSers

  • Personally I have not had physical pain on clomid. I had some mild cramping around ovulation. Do you have cysts on your ovaries? Clomid can cause cysts especially if you are prone to ovarian cysts.

  • Great question, @BWhitta . I am also interested to hear more about experiences with Clomid. I have PCOS and must take Clomid to ovulate as well. Good luck on your next cycle.

  • Thanks, I'm not sure if it's from the Clomid or just from ovulation.  Idk!  I am on my period now and it is HEAVY!!!!!!

  • Good news is that with a heavy period you probably are not having uterine lining thinning which is a common side effect from Clomid.

  • Yes I was worried about that so I was really pleased with a normal LP and a heavy period!  Starting round 2 of Clomid tomorrow!

  • The clomid caused me some mild discomfort when I ovulated.   Also it caused crazy bad periods.  They were super heavy and painful for about 3-4 days.  Good luck with your second wound of clomid!
