Newbie TTC ~2 + years

Hello everyone, I am new here. Actually I may have posted back at the beginning of my journey but have been having such a hard time that I didn't come back. Now I think I really need a place like this, and people in similar situations to talk to. Like most people probably, everyone around me is announcing their pregnancy meanwhile I have been trying for 2.5 years with no luck.

We found out within 8 months of TTC that DH had a prolactin secreting pituitary tumor that had caused low tesosterone and also his semen analysis showed no sperm at all. We fought that battle for about a year. He was on medication for the tumor and for a short time was getting HCG injections to increase testosterone.  Finally we received good news with his semen analysis.

At the same time I stopped ovulating, so I have been seeing a fertility doctor who think KS it could be PCOS based on my weight. I just recently had an hsg test done to which they aren't sure if one of my tubes are blocked or not. The plan is to start clomid and ovidrel and IUI with this next cycle. But I am unsure if I will even get AF as last month I needed to take progesterone in order to bring it on.

I am really hoping this works and I will be saying prayers for all the rest of you as well

    Welcome! So sorry you find yourself here but I think you will find the group incredibly helpful. Your story is very similar to mine with the exception of the male infertility aspect.  I remember every IUI and TI cycle I was convinced AF wouldn't show up and through the magic of my RE she made an appearance.  I completely understand your worry and I hope AF shows up for you also.   I hope your stay is short and sweet!

    Welcome! I'm sorry you've been on such a difficult journey thus far :(  Good luck with your IUI next cycle, there are many ladies here going through similar treatment. 

    Me 34 DH 36 Married since July 2010 
    MFI (High DNA Fragmentation) & Mild endometriosis
    TTC #1 since June 2015 
    Aug 2016 - May 2017  6 IUI's with letrozole - BFN
    April 2017 - laparoscopy to remove mild endo
    June 2017 - Mini IVF letrozole 12.5mg, Gonal-F 75IU - Cancelled early ovulation, no eggs retrieved. 
    Aug/Sept 2017 - Mini IVF letrozole 12.5mg, Gonal-F 75IU, cetrotide - 13 eggs retrieved, 11 mature
    5 eggs ICSI'd 6 eggs frozen - 1 day 5 blast transfered, 2 expanded blast frozen - BFP!
    May 2018 - Baby girl born - Our Joy

    TTC #2 since July 2019
    July 2019 - FET - BFN
    Jan 2020 - FET - canceled due to family health issues
    Mar 2020 - FET - low beta - chemical pregnancy
    July 2020 - ICSI'd remaining 6 eggs - 3 fertilized - 2 survived to early blast stage, transfered both - Chemical Pregnancy

    Hello!  I don't ovulate on my own at all and therefore no AF.  My first cycle of Clomid I had to do a progesterone withdrawal to bring on AF but since Clomid makes me ovulate it started showing up on its own.  We definitely all can empathize with the fact that everyone around us is getting KU except for us.  Some days are harder than others.  Good luck with everything and keep us posted on your progress.
    TTC since May 2015 with domestic partner of 13 years. Me 33 OH 33.  No ovulation or natural menstruation. Normal SA.
    Diagnosed PCOS February 2016
    First cycle 50mg Clomid 5/3/16, O'd CD 19 BFN
    Second cycle 50mg Clomid 6/1/16 O'd CD 18 BFN
    Third cycle Clomid 6/29/16 O'd CD 16 BFP @11dpo!
    EDD April 3 and praying things work out!
