Baby Names

Sister for Lola

I'm in the home stretch here and having a hard time deciding on a name for baby girl #2. I have a couple names in mind but I am not 100% on either one. Jules and Bee are on the table, both  are short and nicknamish, which doesn't bother me at all. Looking for something simple and fun - like Lola! Any suggestions?

Re: Sister for Lola

  • Bee and Jules are way too nicknamey for a resume or professional

    Gemma
    Claire
    Aria
    Ruth
    Olive
    EvE
    Mia
    Fiona
    Ada
    Julia
    Leah
    Ina

  • I love short, simple names like Jen instead of Jennifer, Kim instead of Kimberly.

But even I can't get on board with Jules or Bee. Jen feels complete and works on a resume, Bee doesn't in my opinion. Love the suggestions above like Leah, Julia, Eve.

I know you said short and simple, but I think Lola and Beatrice or Beatrix is kinda cute, and you get the NN Bee. Bridget is also nice.

Not a fan of Jules as a stand alone name. Are you against Julie, Julia, or even Jewel?

  • Juliet? Elizabeth nn Libby or Birdie? Also second pp about Beatrix or Beatrice nn Bea.

  • I love Bea as a nickname for Beatrix or Beatrix. I also like Trixie for those names. I think Lola and Trixie work even better as spunky sisters.

    Oona
    Nell
    Hattie (or Harriet nn Hattie)
    Mara
    Poppy
    Samantha nn Sam
    Liv
    Winnie

  • My first thought was Poppy. Then maybe Pippa or Zoe?

I would go with Beatrice/Beatrix nn Bee so she has some "real" name options. Same thing for Jules: it is definitely a nn for Julie, Julia, or Jewel.

I love pp suggestions of Poppy, Zoe, or Pippa. Adding Daisy, Cassie, Claire, Wendy, Winnie, Daphne, Phoebe, Robin, Macy, Liv (could do just that, or full name Olive), Sadie, or Piper

edit to add: Lexi, Katie, Quinn, Holly, and Rosie
  • Another vote for Beatrice/Beatrix NN Bea. Also suggesting:

    Ava
    Daisy
    Dahlia
    India
    Maisie
    Pearl
    Stella
  • Verla
    Vera
    Stella
    Dahlia

I also really like Bea as a nickname for Beatrice or Beatrix but not on it's own.
