TTMA early ultrasounds

The deets: 
LMP was 5/25.
DTD 6/3. (I know, my H works nights so it is rare nowadays)
Cycles are usually 29 days. 
I wasn't temping so I don't know my O date. 
BFP was faint on day 29, 6/17. 
Did bloodwork on 6/17 and  got a call from my OB that they want to do an ultrasound on the 29th of this month because my betas were at 88. Isn't that normal for being JUST 4 weeks? 
I mean, I'll take the US and I'm glad they are being proactive, but I shouldn't be worried at this point, right? 
I did bloodwork again yesterday (won't see the results until Mon/Tues)  and POAS and got a super dark line instantly. 
An ultrasound at 5.5 weeks isn't going to show much, maybe just a sac?

    Betas alone dont tell too much since there is such a huge range of "normal". Once you get you second results back you will have a better idea how things are progressing. I know waiting sucks, but hang in there!!

    I had an ultrasound at about 5.5 weeks due to some very mild spotting (and also being generally high-risk) and yeah, it was pretty much just a sac. But they'll be able to determine a rough size, and your bloodwork will reveal some additional answers. FX!

    The first day I got a pos urine test, my hcg was 36.84. Now I'm 6wk 4 days and my hcg has been doubling like it should. It just matters how it rises. Good luck!!

    Soooo annoying. My doctor always calls me the day of. If it makes you feel better at 4 weeks I was at 35

    Maybe they are just being super vigilant because of my previous loss.

    Yep, 88 is normal for 4 week.  As others have said, the number itself won't mean much, it's how the level rises.  FWIW, I did IVF so obviously my days are exact, and at exactly 4 weeks (or 2 weeks from conception), my hcg was 92.

    IUI #3.1 w/ injections:  Feb. 2015, cancelled due to cysts- 10 days BCP

    IUI #3.2 w/ injections:  Feb/March 2015- BFN

    IUI #4 w/ 100mg Clomid +  Injections:  August 2015- BFN

    IUI #5 w/ 5mg Femara + Injections:  September 2015- BFN

    IUI #6 w/ 5mg Femara + Injections:  October 2015 - Cancelled due low response

    Moved to IVF May 2016 

    Retrieved 18 eggs on 05/27/2016, 13 were ICSI'd, 9 made it to day-five transfer

    Transferred 2 beautiful day-five embryos on 06/01/2016, froze 7

    BFP 4dp5dt on 06/05/2016!  Line continued to darken beautifully!

    EDD:  February 17, 2017

    Beta #1:  92

    Beta #2:  305 

    Ultrasound #1 - one baby!

    Ultrasound #2 - saw heartbeat!

    Ditto this! The most important thing matters is that your numbers are doubling the way they should, not so much the actual number.
    Good luck! I hope you hear from the doctor soon. That sucks that they just won't tell you.

    @hispenguin the blood draws are done by a separate company. So they have to process them and then send the results over to my OB. 
    I wish they did it in house!

    Omg don't say that, twins run in the family! 
    Also, they cancelled the 5w US and said to wait until 6w.
