February 2017 Moms

Looks like another rough pregnancy for me...

After I spent 24+ hours vomiting/dry heaving I went into the ER. They dosed me with Zofran and Phenegran and 2 liters of fluids and debated a 3rd. I have a zofran and Phenegran script but I'm terrified of solid foods right now. I see my MW sometime next week, as per ER doc instructions to discuss a plan of action. Sigh. I am so upset. I was expecting m/s but not THIS bad THIS early. I want to cry but don't want to waste my fluids. /whine

  • Thanks everyone for your kindness! I have been maxed out on anti-emetics/anti-nausea this week and I've been a walking zombie -but!- they are working. MW hopes to taper me down to just Zofran soon, which is what worked with DD2 like a charm. I hate having to take medicine, but there is no real "moderate" vomit level for my body. I either keep going until I pass out or take the meds. I am still pretty nauseated and have been sleeping a TON but I had real food last night for dinner and for lunch today. (I mean, just refried beans and soup, but a step up from broth and popsicles).

  • Hey, if those are the options - you need those meds! Don't feel guilty for taking care of yourself. You have to be able to eat.
