Re: Win/Wine/Whine Wednesday
My work education competency requirements! I'm running out of time. I did watch 2 of the presentations yesterday while working out and then I swam afterward. Now I just need to take the tests. I'd love to work out again, but, I can't justify wasting more time when I need to do this education.

And that is a great accomplishment to be proud of @KirstinH88, kicking an addiction is no joke, that's awesome!! So happy for how it's positively affected your marriage.
Surviving the last two years of DHs doctoral program while I was the only one with an income! It was a serious challenge financially and emotionally. I felt like I was pinching pennies and living on dreams and adrenaline to survive, but we made it through!
Wine:
DH likes Guinness and I think it tastes like a disgusting beer milkshake. Blech.
Whine:
Meal prepping. When I do it, I'm successful. When I don't, I fail. I didn't this week. Or last week. And the one week I did I got lazy and didn't use it anyway. But I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow and starting fresh!

@KirstinH88 Congrats on kicking drinking - its tough to do. My husband works in the beer industry, so its around us constantly
@TravelingCouple Hey fellow workout buddy! I'm doing 21 day fix extreme while I'm whole30-ing.
@aliciagoose Good luck with meal prep! I always say I'll do it then slack off.
Probably scraping and saving and working 2 jobs (both of us) to save enough to have a wedding AND buy a new house in the same month. We had a laser focus for a long time and funneled everything we had into make it happen. Not to mention it was such a stressful time for both us - It was a hard time in our relationship but we did it.
Sour beers. I love beer, but those sours taste like you're sucking on a vinegar bottle. Blegh.
Probably cleaning. I just can't get motivated. Shopping or working out sounds much better.
Working on our house, we have really put a lot of sweat and tears into making it a home. We constantly discuss things we would like to do and try to formulate a plan on how to make them a reality, even if it's years from now.
He loves whiskey, yuck!
I have been struggling with trying to lose weight for probably a year. I'm just not motivated, even though I am the absolute heaviest I have ever been now. This week I should've made my lunch everyday and planned out dinner, but I decided I'd rather binge watch Rizzoli and Isles... Starting Sunday things are going to be different hopefully, at the very least I'll get some meal planning done.
I would have to say us both finishing our degrees! We went to different schools (high school and college) but both managed to stay together during that time but also both be focused enough to graduate. I suck at school so I was really proud to graduate and My DH worked is butt off to graduate!

We both are back in school to finally finish our educations, so we are supporting each other in work and in school. We actually ended up in the same online class!
For DH it would be beer for me it would be white wine.
Doing laundry! For some odd reason this week I am dragging out the weekly laundry chore. I guess it's the fact the washer and dryer are in the basement so I have to climb up and down and the stairs to do it and I won't lie I get lazy after a while lol.

Trying for #4
Budgeting and taking control of our finances. Two years ago we got a software called YNAB (You need a budget) and started a Dave Ramsey course. We just recently paid off the PMI on our house early (we decided to view it as a debt) and are rebuilding our emergency fund. We sit down and do budget meetings together at least twice a month, although we try to do it every week and it really helps us to stay on the same page with our finances and have common goals.
Neither of us drink alcohol for different reasons. I like hot tea (green, white and herbal, mostly) and DH does not. He really likes Mt. Dew and I don't care for it.
Laundry. Oh my word I have got to do laundry today or I will have nothing to wear tomorrow. I was totally caught up and then we went on vacation at the beginning of June and I haven't touched it since.

DH doesn't drink alcohol at all and I only drink wine occasionally. He likes Mt. Dew which I hate.
Writing two papers for my grad classes. They aren't long at all which is why I'm procrastinating.

Win: What is something you are proud of that you and your SO have worked on together (outside of TTC)? We have both learned to do a lot of DIY projects since buying our house three years ago. Last year we repaired, painted and re-screened our porch. It was a huge project but it's been so nice to sit out on our porch this summer. Although, last week a squirrel chewed a hole in the screens and today they tipped over a large tin of birdseed all over! Looking for squirrel repellent tips!
Edited because it keeps cutting off the end of my comments!

We've gone through a lot to get my husband this job that we're both about to move for. It's still a work in progress but it will be, for sure, one of the coolest things we'll work together on. He's building a building at our alma mater and I was hired to be a part of the team too!
Soda. Any kind of soda or mixed drink with soda in it. So also beer.
Just errands. Do they ever end?

D&D is the main one that we make miniatures for, but we have a room dedicated to our board game collection as well. I'd love to branch out to more RPGs (and have dabbled in quite a few back in college), but our friends are the type that are very reluctant to learn new rulesets.

Very nice! I've always had a fondness for Pathfinder/3.5 since 3.5 was my intro to D&D. Have you guys ever seen the bones kickstarters? It's a great way to build up a miniature collection.

Yes, those are the minis we've been buying. DH also backed a kickstarter for CAV minis by Reaper. So now we have hundreds of little unpainted robot minis too.
