  • That's amazing on paying off the loan @Sugargirl1019
And that is a great accomplishment to be proud of @KirstinH88, kicking an addiction is no joke, that's awesome!! So happy for how it's positively affected your marriage.

Win:  What is something you are proud of that you and your SO have worked on together (outside of TTC)? DH and I have both been working on eating better and working out regularly. I've been doing home workouts on and off for a while, but I started the 21 Day Fix for the second time around last week -- this is Week 2 for me. I lost 2 lbs in the first week! DH has been working out regularly on the elliptical and doing more and more push-ups every day. He started out doing 30 just two weeks ago and did 75 just yesterday. Nevermind that his progress is leaps and bounds faster than mine (it always seems to be that way with working out men vs. women), but I'm so proud of both of us!

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa? He drinks this concoction he made up with vodka, some Minute Maid juice and a dash of tequila..ugh, it's AWFUL NTY.

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week? Keeping up with eating healthy! I am craving some serious junk and it's tough not giving in. I feel so good eating well and working out that I don't want to break the cycle, but damnnnnit canijusthaveacookieplz?!

    Win:
Surviving the last two years of DHs doctoral program while I was the only one with an income! It was a serious challenge financially and emotionally. I felt like I was pinching pennies and living on dreams and adrenaline to survive, but we made it through!

    Wine:
DH likes Guinness and I think it tastes like a disgusting beer milkshake. Blech.

    Whine:
Meal prepping. When I do it, I'm successful. When I don't, I fail. I didn't this week. Or last week. And the one week I did I got lazy and didn't use it anyway. But I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow and starting fresh!

  • Win:  What is something you are proud of that you and your SO have worked on together (outside of TTC)?
Working on our house, we have really put a lot of sweat and tears into making it a home. We constantly discuss things we would like to do and try to formulate a plan on how to make them a reality, even if it's years from now.

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa?
    He loves whiskey, yuck!

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week?
I have been struggling with trying to lose weight for probably a year. I'm just not motivated, even though I am the absolute heaviest I have ever been now. This week I should've made my lunch everyday and planned out dinner, but I decided I'd rather binge watch Rizzoli and Isles... Starting Sunday things are going to be different hopefully, at the very least I'll get some meal planning done.
  • Win:  What is something you are proud of that you and your SO have worked on together (outside of TTC)?
I would have to say us both finishing our degrees! We went to different schools (high school and college) but both managed to stay together during that time but also both be focused enough to graduate. I suck at school so I was really proud to graduate and My DH worked is butt off to graduate!

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa? Hmm we kinda have similar taste in drinks really, I use to HATE beer and DH loved it but  I like it more now. Some of the wines I like he doesn't care for

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week? eating clean and working out. I have not done either one in about 2 weeks :( gotta get back on that horse!!

We both are back in school to finally finish our educations, so we are supporting each other in work and in school. We actually ended up in the same online class!

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa?
For DH it would be beer for me it would be white wine.

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week?
Doing laundry! For some odd reason this week I am dragging out the weekly laundry chore. I guess it's the fact the washer and dryer are in the basement so I have to climb up and down and the stairs to do it and I won't lie I get lazy after a while lol.

  • Win:  What is something you are proud of that you and your SO have worked on together (outside of TTC)?
Budgeting and taking control of our finances. Two years ago we got a software called YNAB (You need a budget) and started a Dave Ramsey course. We just recently paid off the PMI on our house early (we decided to view it as a debt) and are rebuilding our emergency fund. We sit down and do budget meetings together at least twice a month, although we try to do it every week and it really helps us to stay on the same page with our finances and have common goals.

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa?
Neither of us drink alcohol for different reasons. I like hot tea (green, white and herbal, mostly) and DH does not. He really likes Mt. Dew and I don't care for it.

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week?\
Laundry. Oh my word I have got to do laundry today or I will have nothing to wear tomorrow. I was totally caught up and then we went on vacation at the beginning of June and I haven't touched it since.

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa? DH doesn't drink anymore, but I like wine.

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week? adjusting to going from 1 child to 3 with my stepkids here, it takes me a bit to get into the swing of having three kids after only having 1 for 10 months

  • Win:  What is something you are proud of that you and your SO have worked on together (outside of TTC)?
DH and I just finished up putting a beautiful deck onto our house (with a lot of help from FIL) but neither of us are manual labor people AT ALL so it was a serious struggle for us to figure everything out and actually make it happen!

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa?
I love wine but DH won't touch the stuff! (more for me! :) )

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week?
I think I'm struggling at literally every household chore this week!  We were out of town this weekend so I didn't get to the chores I usually do on Sunday done.  Now I have zero motivation to do them after work because the new season of Orange Is The New Black is on Netflix so DH and I have been binge watching that instead of being actually productive!

Buying our first house! It was an accomplishment and we did it all on our own at a considerably young age.

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa? Beer! He loves his beer and I just can't stand it. He keeps trying to buy different kinds because he has a dream of us drinking beer together, but I just can't.

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week? Getting out of bed. It has been a struggle this week, I have just been so exhausted for now reason.

Win:  What is something you are proud of that you and your SO have worked on together (outside of TTC)?
Paying off student loans. DH went to a somewhat expensive school for a few years, then transferred to the school we bet at which was cheaper. I have less in loans but we're both working on it, especially the high interest rate ones.

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa?
DH doesn't drink alcohol at all and I only drink wine occasionally. He likes Mt. Dew which I hate.

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week?
Writing two papers for my grad classes. They aren't long at all which is why I'm procrastinating.

  • Win:  What is something you are proud of that you and your SO have worked on together (outside of TTC)? DH graduated grad school last month. We are both freaking proud of that. It was 100% not just a graduation for him. He has some pretty severe ADD which makes school really hard. We also got married and had a baby all while he was in school. I wrote papers. Stayed up late helping him. Did all the parent duties by myself many days. Just made lots and LOTS of sacrifice so he could get that degree. It was both of us graduating that day.

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa? DH doesn't really like anything that actually tastes like alcohol. So, anything alcoholic. I love wine and he hates it particularly. Also, he hates coffee and I am more than addicted at this point.

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week? Just life in general. I have nothing in me this week. I just cannot be bothered to give a f*** about anything right now.

Just moving and putting our house together while we made huge efforts to not fight about furniture, placement, etc. We are both a little hot headed and so the fact that we fought not one time was a big deal for us. This probably makes us sound like a great couple haha.

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa?
    I don't really like Dark n Stormy's but H really does.

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week?
Ugh, dishes. I didn't do them for a couple days, and let them pile up in the sink. I could have just loaded the dishwasher. Now I'm away for work so let's hope H does it while I'm gone, haha.

    First time posting!!

Win:  What is something you are proud of that you and your SO have worked on together (outside of TTC)? We have both learned to do a lot of DIY projects since buying our house three years ago. Last year we repaired, painted and re-screened our porch. It was a huge project but it's been so nice to sit out on our porch this summer. Although, last week a squirrel chewed a hole in the screens and today they tipped over a large tin of birdseed all over! Looking for squirrel repellent tips!

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa? DH loves Irish whiskey on the rocks. Hard pass :s

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week? Really struggling with someone I work with this week. She isn't my direct supervisor but I report to her for certain issues. She is just such a bully- intimidating, belittling, noncollaborative and just makes you want to scream/crawl in a hole. It's been bad for a few months but it's definitely hit a peak this week

Edited because it keeps cutting off the end of my comments!
  • @SienaC my H doesn't really like wine either, and I love wine. Every once in a while he will drink my wine and I sit there looking at him thinking, that isn't for you! Go get a beer! Haha.

We've gone through a lot to get my husband this job that we're both about to move for. It's still a work in progress but it will be, for sure, one of the coolest things we'll work together on. He's building a building at our alma mater and I was hired to be a part of the team too!

Soda. Any kind of soda or mixed drink with soda in it. So also beer.

Small scale, but we paint tabletop miniatures together and they turn out awesome.
Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa?
He's a jack & coke guy, but I'm not a fan of cola in the first place.  He also doesn't like the super dark beers that I love.

Win:  What is something you are proud of that you and your SO have worked on together (outside of TTC)?
Probably driving cross-country in a Prius towing everything we owned behind us. It was terrifying at times, exhilarating during others, and it brought us so close together. DH apparently bought my engagement ring shortly after that trip as it pretty much sealed the deal that we could make it.

Wine:  What drink that your SO loves will you hard pass, or vice-versa?
He likes something called a Beautiful when he's out with his really machismo guy friends. It's cognac or brandy and Grand Marnier. To me it tastes like how I'd imagine rubbing alcohol would taste.

Whine:  What daily or weekly task are you struggling with the most this week?
It's a tie between doing the dishes or folding laundry. Neither is really happening with the consistency they need to.

D&D is the main one that we make miniatures for, but we have a room dedicated to our board game collection as well.  I'd love to branch out to more RPGs (and have dabbled in quite a few back in college), but our friends are the type that are very reluctant to learn new rulesets.
