Changing cervix, no CM?

**potentially TMI**

Alright i decided this month to jump full force into trying to find my O date so I'm temping, using OPKs, checking my cervix and monitoring my CM. Most of which I'm new too and not very good at :neutral:

I'm currently on cd17. For the last three days I've been diving on in to check my cervix and I noticed today that it feels softer (I classified it as medium in FF) & is a little higher up than the previous two days. However, today I didn't detect any CM, like nothing, is that normal? The previous two days I had stretchy, cloudy CM tinted with some brown blood (sorry for the TMI). I have had no temp shift and all my OPKs are negative so I haven't ovulated yet but no CM mid cycle? Is that strange?

How is it that I waited nearly 32 years to actually try to figure out how my body works?!?

    Okay. First things first. You're doing great! It takes lots of practice and I'm still by no means an expert. 

    If you classified your cervix as medium and slightly soft then, I'm not surprised CM isn't fertile. Make sense? Because, your cervix isn't currently in a fertile position. 

    But I'm guessing you're getting close. 

    Make sure you check your cervix at the same time every day and in the same position. 

    Remember SHOW soft high open and wet. 

    And FWIW I still don't know what that feels like because  near ovulation my cervix is so high I can't even reach it. So if that happens then start HIO.

    I just saw your question about cm. Are you completely dry? Or just not seeing fertile Cm?

    Not completely dry...my fingers are damp but I wouldn't say it's enough to classify it as watery.

    I was super pumped to think this month I might actually ovulate on my own and now I'm getting to the point where I'm freaking out to think maybe 
    I'm not going to. I'm 17 days in and nothing yet. I suppose with a long cycle it could be another week or so but it's driving me crazy

    I have ovulated as late as CD 22. 

    Eta- I know WTO is the absolute worst.

    I always ovulate late...this cycle it was CD23 and cycle I KU it was CD26. Definitely is a pain WTO with longer cycles. Be patient!

    Okay FWIW, I just did a quick Google for "fertility friend charts with late ovulation" and found a chart with ovulation on CD 47. So I really think if you keep temping and tracking you will catch it :)

    CD 47!?!?! Holy bananas...I'd lose my mind. But thank you both giving me hope! FX something happens this cycle.
    DH and I had been BDing EOD, which was awesome, and then stupid me I got so frustrated by everything yesterday I couldn't muster up the energy to get in the mood
