So, S has a posterior tongue tie, as well as a fairly tight upper lip tie. Unfortunately we can't get a frenectomy done in the office in this case, and she has to go in for surgery tomorrow morning. It's apparently still just a 15 minute procedure, but she has to be under general anesthesia for it and that is kind of freaking us out just because she's not even a month old and she's our little baby. Has anyone had their baby undergo general anesthesia this young? How did it go?
I will also note that the surgery might end up being postponed once we go in because S has a cold, the anesthesiologist is going to make that call once we're there.
Re: Infants and general anesthesia
Also due to the anesthesia we can't feed S after midnight (like a Gremlin) so we are clearly in for an awesome time tomorrow morning no matter what.
