Temping question

I am new to temping and feel totally lost!  I just did my first round of Clomid 3-7, my temp went up on cd17, I'm now on cd26 and my temp was down this morning :( feels a little early for it to drop (9dpo) but I've read about an implantation dip, but also that LP can be short on Clomid.  Any insight?
Married for 5 years, TTC for 3 years
PCOS, Low AMH, Endo, Uterine Fibroids, Low Estrogen...
and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

    If you're using FF, can you post your chart?  
    All of those things are a possibility, and I've even had 1 day dips below coverline on some cycles, and then it went back up. Also, I've had temp drops 2-3 days before AF. 

    Did you do anything different today? Temp earlier? Sleep with your mouth open? Air conditioning on high?

    TTC #1 since June 2015 
    Aug 2016 - May 2017  6 IUI's with letrozole - BFN
    April 2017 - laparoscopy to remove mild endo
    June 2017 - Mini IVF letrozole 12.5mg, Gonal-F 75IU - Cancelled early ovulation, no eggs retrieved. 
    Aug/Sept 2017 - Mini IVF letrozole 12.5mg, Gonal-F 75IU, cetrotide - 13 eggs retrieved, 11 mature
    5 eggs ICSI'd 6 eggs frozen - 1 day 5 blast transfered, 2 expanded blast frozen - BFP!
    May 2018 - Baby girl born - Our Joy

    TTC #2 since July 2019
    July 2019 - FET - BFN
    Jan 2020 - FET - canceled due to family health issues
    Mar 2020 - FET - low beta - chemical pregnancy
    July 2020 - ICSI'd remaining 6 eggs - 3 fertilized - 2 survived to early blast stage, transfered both - Chemical Pregnancy

    No, I don't have a chart to share.  I'm also rather lazy with it :smirk: My pre O temps were around 97.1-97.2 with a couple high 96 days.  I'm not accurate at all with when I test each morning, but usually within an hour or two...and I actually did turn the a/c down last night before bed, so I guess that's a possibility!  I've been up around 97.4-97.8 since I think I ovulated.  I know I just need to be patient and wait a few more days!!!!

    Yup, time will tell. Implantation dips can only be identified in hind sight :)

    The main thing is that you are looking for overall trends. Most of your pre-O temps are lower than post O. It's normal to go below the coverline post O and like a PP said, implantation dips are only confirmed in hindsight. Set an alarm and try to get your temp at the same time and it will improve the accuracy. Vaginal temping also worked better for me.  But I'm not sure how accurate temping is with Clomid. (I start Clomid next cycle).

    August 2016: 50 mg Clomid + IUI = BFN

    January 2017: FET#2 = chemical
    March 2017: IVF#2 - 18 retrieved / 18 mature / 16 fertilized / 5 blasts
    April 24, 2017: FET#3 - BFN
    May 24, 2017: FET#4 - BFP! - Beta #1 151 - Beta #2 503 - Due date 2/9/18

    Thanks, y'all.  I'm having all sorts of good symptoms, but since I haven't ovulated in who knows how long, they could all just be progesterone/pms!  But, I'll be pretty happy if I start my period on my own!  Took a test this morning just in case we got a little Father's Day gift but it was BFN, obviously.  Still pretty early!

    The dip could be a variety of things, implantation can only be confirmed in hindsight and not everyone gets "the dip".  I took Clomid 5-9 my first cycle and O'd on 19. Not to worry you but my LP was only 9 days, my temp dropped and I started spotting that evening.  Immediately next cycle I made steps towards extending my LP, I am currently 6dpo.  If it doesn't work I will talk to my doc next cycle about progesterone for after O. 

    Good luck with whatever happens.  I suggest you plug your numbers into FF or another chart so you can get a better look at them.

    Thanks, my temp is back up today.  No spotting or anything yet, still waiting!

    That's good! Mine did the same thing, which was a relief :) FX for this cycle!
