What do you think of these sibling ideas for Rose?

Hi there!

We have a beautiful little 4.5 month old named Rose Quinlan and, after thinking we might be one and done, have decided to try for one more at the end of this year.

. So I'm starting my favorite thing - brainstorming names! We have a boy name decided since our honeymoon (a family name) so I'm looking for feedback on my girl name ideas. (And any suggestions!).

I want a name that fits with Rose and also something ideally that had a cute nickname to use in childhood. I'd like to avoid something super popular. My style I suppose is classic, slightly feisty, easy to spell and pronounce.

Here are my ideas for first names currently, ranked in order of my preference, nick names in parentheses:

Mirabelle (Belle)
Katherine (Kit)
Eloise (Lulu)
Matilda (Tilly)
Tess (Tessie)

Katherine (Kit) is my favorite of your options, followed by Matilda, then Eloise. I think Mirabelle seems too frilly and Belle is too childish next to such a classic, simple beauty like Rose.

My favorite is probably Matilda nn Tilly. I don't love Mirabelle, but Belle and Rose sound nice together!

Matilda NN Tilly was on my short list! I love it.
Eloise NN Lulu is a close second.
Tess NN Tessie is also nice.

Eloise, Matilda, and Katherine are my favorites in that order.

Mirabelle and Tess just don't have the same appeal as Rose.

I am biased, I choose Eloise (my 6 YO name). I like the Lulu nickname too.

Mirabelle (Belle)- love both the full name and the nick
Katherine (Kit) - like both the full and the nick
Eloise (Lulu) - love Eloise and I think Lulu is a super cute nickname for it
Matilda (Tilly) - I hate Matilda but I like Tilly
Tess (Tessie) - I feel like Tess is already a nickname (Theresa, Tessa, etc)

Overall a really good list!
