Anything baby-related this week? Now that DH is free from his PT job this week we can assemble the dresser and rocker and that should finish the nursery....thank the Lord
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? Rave: YoFresh I couldn't finish earlier after dinner now at 2am is EVERYTHING!
Symptoms: Not sure if LO dropped or I'm just having a good day or two with rib pain...HALLELUJAH

YASSSSSSS! My car seat base has been installed for abt 2 weeks now, my DH on the other hand, it still sits in the box as well as his hospital bag not packed....me and LO bags are all packed! Ordered granny panties off target website with returned double items we received on our registry so that's the only thing that has to be packed with the other stuff in my bag! Ready to get this show on the road!

Had my shower yesterday and it was lovely. GBS swab Wednesday and I hope they check my cervix so I can see if anything is happening.

So exhausted. Thought baby dropped but she seems to have been playing with me. The heat is causing me to swell a LOT.

Bag isn't packed but we didn't have them packed the first time either and we had time before we left. Base is installed in husband's car but not mine. We plan to do that today. I still have some clothes to wash from the shower but I think we would be just fine if she came any day.

My feet and ankles are so swollen, and I haven't slept well in a while. Come oooon next 5ish weeks!

We're ready aside from the hospital bags, and car seat installation but I don't feel rushed for those things.
We've had awful luck lately with things breaking around the house. We now need a new HVAC system (cannot wait to have air conditioning again...), our garage door spring broke so the door isn't working, and a giant tree limb fell into our driveway so we have to have someone cut down the tree. All of which happened last week, but I AM glad that we'll have this mess taken care of before baby gets here.

I have an ultrasound on Tuesday afternoon to re-check his measurements and also to confirm his positioning, fluid level, etc. I'm excited to be getting one last look at my little guy before he's in my arms! Follow up appointment with the OB directly after.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms?
I guess this is kind of both a rant and a rave for me: Pooping. Prior to this week, I'd had the worst constipation of my entire life for a good month or so. This week I started pooping regularly again and it has been amazing. But. At least once a day I've been getting this sense or urgency that hits me out of nowhere and it's like I need to poop and I need to poop now!
As far as symptoms go, I think I'm more exhausted now than I was in first tri. I don't do much other than sleep or soak in the tub when I'm not at work. Everything hurts and some days my body just feels so heavy. For a few weeks now, baby has been pressing on a nerve that results in a zinging pain that shoots through my inner hip & thigh. It's definitely been happening more frequently over the last week and it stops me in my tracks. Kind of makes me question how well I'm going to handle labor...lol.

I feel so unprepared. The car seat base is installed in my car but that's the only thing that's 100% ready to go. Hospital bag isn't packed yet. I was just telling my mom yesterday that I need to buy a pack or 2 of granny panties this week. The nursery is coming along...it's been painted and I do have some of the furniture set up. The crib is built and I've got a dresser that we refinished, but I still need to get new knobs for the drawers. I also have my Gramma's old wooden rocker in there, which is really special to me to have since she passed away recently. I still need to get a little nightstand/end table and I'd like to get one of those cheap wooden shelving units with the square storage bins because aside from the dresser there's no storage space in his room. I'm envious of anyone who has a closet for all of their little one's things. I need to put the bedding in his crib & start putting out the little decorations that I do have. I'm hoping to get that done later today...

Anything baby-related this week? No new appointments until next week but he's definitely smushing his little head down big time, the urge to pee is now happening every 2 minutes!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? All the heartburn at the minute, it had eased off the past couple of weeks but no it's back so bad. I've had such a horrible taste in my mouth the past 2 days and I can't seem to get rid of it. I'm getting very jealous of all the new baby posts.

I've had my hospital bag packed (and repacked) since 20 weeks, car seat has to be installed next but that shouldn't take to long, if needs be BF can do it while I'm in hospital. Nursery is ready, I just have to stick his curtains back up and we are complete. It's crazy how much money has been put in that room already, well worth it though.

Anything baby-related this week? I have a doctor's appointment Thursday and I meet with my doula Friday. (We did a birthing class yesterday.)
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? Rave: today I asked my husband to put lotion on my feet and he gave me a full foot massage!! Symptoms: pering all the time (duh), heartburn, extreme pelvic pain (like to the point where I can't really lift my legs or make any pelvic motion), insomnia is making a return appearance, my feet and hands are swollen, and my fingers hurt and are tingly. But otherwise, I'm great! Lol

We do plan to get the var seat from my in-laws' house and install it today so we can get it inspected. I am GOING to pack a hospital bag THIS WEEK! I mean it! We have no nursery though (and why did no one catch that I put "nurdery" lol) because we're still waiting to close on our house. (Sigh.) We might just have to prepare our apartment...

Anything baby-related this week? Just put up the decals in the nursery. I have a midwife appointment on Wednesday. Not expecting much to happen- probably the usual blood pressure + fundal height and that's it. This is the first one DH will be able to come to because they scheduled it at 7pm. I'm hoping he has some questions, or they talk about the birth plan or something to make it worth his while.
This is my last week of work, before I go on school holidays for 2 weeks then my maternity leave officially starts. Technically I need medical clearance to be here this week (my school requires you to go on maternity leave 6 weeks before edd) but I forgot to get it last appointment. I'm hoping no one will notice until Wednesday when I have my midwife appointment.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? I haven't beeen too bad this week. I've almost completely lost my appetite, my hips are still bad and I'm super tired- I'm just over an hour into work and I could really go for a nap.

Hospital bag is mostly packed- need to pack a couple of things I'm still wearing atm like my bras. Car seats are getting installed 6th July- I have a midwife appointment that day so getting DH to have a sick day so we can do the midwife appointment, get them installed and go to Centrelink so we can apply for parental leave benefits. The nursery is mostly done, but need to get more storage and put things away- it kind of looks like a bomb went off atm.

Zero appetite, infrequent BH contractions, tiredness, back aches, hip pain.....and doc days I'm 2 cm.

Hospital bag us packed and will go in the truck at the end of this week with the car seat. Nursery has been done for about a month but curtains need to go up eventually. Pack n play was moved into our room but not unfolded yet.

Nothing exciting here- can't sleep and heartburn is the worst. I'm just praying I make it to next Wednesday and then work will be less chaotic. As of now, I've been working 15-16 hour days M-F, and 8 hour days on Saturdays. I'm just ready for a break.

Definitely not ready at all. With work being so busy, I haven't even had time to think about any of these things. My mom purchased a crib and had it shipped to the house, but we haven't set it up. We haven't moved things downstairs into the spare room to even start getting the nursery ready. The only carseat we have installed is for DD; won't install the other until LO and I are discharged. We don't want to run the risk of any accidents before LO comes and then have to purchase two carseats. DD was 11 days overdue, so I probably won't pack a bag until we're ready to go to the hospital. All-in-all, I'd say we're very unprepared at the moment.
