  • We have family coming to town because my nephew has a lacrosse tournament where we live. Should be a good time. We are getting some oysters delivered and then having shrimp and soft shell crabs. So yummy!!

@reneeannemm I am 7DPO and staying as far away from my tests as possible. Hah. I wish there was a way to remain completely rational throughout this process. However, I couldn't have raw oysters if I was pregnant so I am reminding myself that it's good I wouldn't know anything yet! Your post yesterday about symptoms is so me in that I analyze every twinge or change.

  • Tonight might play tennis again with DH and maybe a movie- Finding Dory comes out today, don't know if I want to go on opening night....might be crazy.

Tomorrow heading up to see my parents- going to a Greek Festival with my 2 high school best friends, its been a tradition of us going every year since we were in high school so its always a fun time. Sunday we are taking my step dad out for Father's day....my dad lives out of state so I will give him a call.

Have a great weekend everyone! :)

  • Doing well here. Getting ready for work today and checking in with you lovely ladies. I have an appointment on Saturday AM to check for follicle growth and blood work to check hormones. Hopefully, things are moving along towards good results at egg retrievel. Sunday we have some father's day visiting to do.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend. Thinking of you and all of your husbands/partners this weekend.
  • Good luck at your appointment @BornReady. DH seems to be okay right now regarding Father's Day...I don't think he is as emotional about the day as much as I was for Mother's Day but I am still going to check in to make sure he is okay.
  • Saturday I think DH and I will go to the beach or just go swimming in my mom's pool. It's supposed to be hit here this weekend and DH has been out of town for work since Thursday morning so I will be glad to have him back! Sunday I am celebrating my birthday with my family and also celebrating Father's Day with my stepdad and my husband's stepdad. My dad lives in Florida so I will also be giving him a call. I'm looking forward to sun and water!

  • This weekend my plan is to go for a hike one morning, and maybe work on my garden the next morning. It's supposed to reach 30 Celsius this weekend so doing things in the morning is looking like my only option.
At this very moment I'm feeling as good as somebody who is fasting for blood work can feel. So, hungry. I am feeling hungry.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

3-5 dpo  here, depending on if I go by my calculations or FF's. I'm going with mine (5 dpo) that way I can test sooner and it won't be insane.

@Spartanrd4 I am going to see Finding Dory tonight. It is 90 and humid here and a nice cold movie theater sounds amazing. And, I would be lying if I said I didn't need the districtaction from SS and the urge to go to the dollar store and buy 20 HPTS. I cannot buy this month's supply yet because, if left to my own devices I could burn through that in 2 days.

A movie, some housework, and laundry. That's my weekend. I have the same schedule as sheldon cooper. Saturday night is laundry night!

Eta if you can't tell by my SN, I absolutely hate hot weather.
  • @Taggarab GL! You can hold out!

@Spartanrd4 Have fun, that sounds like a great weekend.

@BornReady Good luck at your appointment! I'm cheering for you and your hormones! I will definitely have to check in with DH, as he thought of himself as a father as soon as we knew.

@MooFish2364 Swimming! That is a fantastic idea. We live in walking distance of the beach; I think we'll go down this weekend.

@roper2617 I hope your fast isn't for too much longer! And yes, gardening and hiking - perfect. I think it's hot here, too, so you can find me hiding in the shade.

Actually we don't have a single plan. The house is clean, there's pumpkin stew to eat and we're not in a socializing mood. No appointments, no fathers to call. Like I said up there, maybe we'll walk to the beach. I think DH wants to make breadsticks? He's really the bread baker, though, I just watch him knead things. I'm going to make chocolate cupcakes with maple buttercream today and bring them to some people in the community this weekend. Oh, and we'll get to Little India to buy a case of Alphonso mangoes before the season is over. I'm going to finish my book.

  • Good luck at your appointment @BornReady!

I am hoping we'll get to do some kayaking Saturday and then no plans Sunday. I have to travel for work next week so I'll be packing Sunday.

Tonight we are going out with my in laws for Fathers Day. My SIL is about 8 months pregnant, which is kind of tough. We were really excited to have kiddos 4 months apart. Sorry--not trying to be a downer. Hey, at least it will be good practice for keeping my sh*t together in public, right?

  • Tomorrow starts a 7 day workweek for me. My presence will probably sparse at best because of that. Ugh. Today I'm grocery shopping and doing some laundry to prep ahead of time.

CD6 here now. I've got my lone dot on FF waiting to connect for a chart! I'm going to probably start OPKs on Monday or Tuesday, and have as much relations as we can handle with my work schedule through the week. I'm expecting O to happen next Friday or Saturday based on my usual patterns.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. I'll try to check in when I can.

This weekend will be full of homework and housecleaning/organizing. Woo! I'm excited though to not have to pack for an upcoming trip for the first time in a couple weeks. I also need a free weekend to make sure I have time to finish the dreaded homework.

Tonight, we're going to see Finding Dory. I agree with @Spartanrd4 that it'll be probably be crazy opening night, but DH really wants to see it. I don't need as much distraction as @iceandsnowflakes, since I'm only CD 9 today, but it still takes my mind off TTC at least. We're going to see the late showing, which should ward off most kids... (I mind a lot of kids being in the theatre not because they're a trigger, but because they're annoying.) Otherwise, the alternative is Warcraft, which DH is seeing on Saturday with friends anyway. Although I've played World of Warcraft in the past, I'm not interested in the seeing the movie. I haven't even played the game in years.

Everyone else sounds like, overall, they're having relaxing or carefree plans as well!

Sorry to hear you're working a 7-day work week, @Wishilivedinflorida. Blech, that's no fun. :frowning:

Good luck at your in-laws' gathering, @Amdogger82. You sound really strong about your SIL's pregnancy. I hope I can be that strong one day.

    Edited to make sense
  • @Wishilivedinflorida sorry for the long work week. It's smart to prep though, I'm going to do the same today as we have a busy weekend planned.

@BornReady good luck tomorrow. I hope everything is right on track for you and you're responding well.

    @renneannmm those cupcakes sound amazing!

@amdogger82 good luck at the dinner!

@iceandsnowflakes29 stay cool and enjoy the movie!

I'm working from home today which is such a nice switch from battling traffic to the office. I'm hoping to catch a yoga class today. I'm on CD 5 and day 3 of bumped up meds for my next IUI and I'm hoping I get a good response this round. Fertility treatments are exhausting :(

Tomorrow- we are having dinner with my uncle. My dad bailed out on my family when I was 15 and I haven't seen him since I was 17, so my uncle (paternal) really stepped in and was a great father figure to me and my brother. He never had children of his own but he's always been present for us so I always celebrate him on Father's Day.  On Sunday we will go up to my in laws in wine country to have dinner with my FIL.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • This weekend should be pretty chill. Taking the puppy to socialization class and doing dinner with my SILs and my ILs for Fathers Day. I think I'm going to get DH a card from the dog. My EDD wasn't for another 9 days so he probably wasn't going to celebrate his first Father's Day this year most likely, but I'd like to acknowledge this new chapter in our life somehow.

On an aside, I'm now almost 5 weeks past D&C and no signs of AF. In fact I still feel my ovaries so I'm wondering if I'm still WTO. Sigh. Even though I am completely fine taking the summer off, I'd like to get the show on the road and get 3 cycles in by September.

Anyone watching the 30 for 30 documentary on OJ Simpson? If you're looking for something to watch this weekend, I highly recommend it! Even if you suffer from OJ fatigue, it's really good filmmaking and presents the context for everything that happened.
  • Just popping in to say hi. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

DH and I are both working this weekend which is a good distraction. Plus it's supposed to be 118-120. Yoga if I can tolerate that on Sunday. I just finally started officially "miscarrying" today since it took the progesterone a few days to wear off and the cramps and heavy clots may force me to skip my yoga.

The he dogs got him something for Father's Day. I have to put our rainbow baby onesie back in the closet instead of in the golf case they got him.

    Happy weekend all

  • All this beach talk makes me sad! DH and I used to live 5 miles from the beach and prior to that we spent 2.5 years in Fort Lauderdale (sorry @wishilivedinflorida) so the beach was a weekly thing! Now we're older and wanted a bigger house with a yard and to put that in our price range meant moving inland, like 40 miles  DH definitely doesn't like sweating at the beach enough to really travel for it, so sunning on our deck is the best I'm gonna get this summer.

For weekend plans we are traveling to my sisters for a clambake to celebrate our parents anniversary & going to church. Those are really the only two things we have planned. So we should be able to squeeze in some quality BDing time! I'm CD13 today so potentially I could O sometime this coming week, who knows, but that's what I'm hoping for!

@Spartanrd4 & @iceandsnowflakes29 let me know how Dory is if you go see it! I want to go too but we are going out of town, so I'll have to go next weekend.

As for me...I had my CD28 check up with my RE this morning and she said everything was looking good, so now it's waiting for AF or POAS.  We are headed up north (I live in Michigan), so we flee up to my parents lake house any chance we get.  I packed a few books and the weather looks gorgeous so I am looking forward to reading, walking my dog on the beach and paddle boarding.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

@Aera11 that sounds so relaxing! I've always wanted to try paddle boarding! We live near the coast in Maine, and I just checked out rentals...but might wait until the water is a little bit warmer!

@dubcompanion I don't feel so strong about it, but thank you!
  • @SnobunnieMel My heart goes out to you! I hope the physical part of MC is over quickly for you.

I am jealous of everyone who is going to see Finding Dory! We are going out for dinner tonight and then going to see Central Intelligence. Both my DH and I have lost our dads so Father's Day is going to be rough. I was planning on getting DH a Dad to be gift, so its going to suck even more than usual :(

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
  • @BornReady - I hope your appt this morning goes well.
@SnobunnieMel- I am so sorry you have to go through this. I hope you can have a relatively calm and relaxing weekend. Yoga sounds good if you are up too it!
@chloe97 - I have been hearing so much about the o.j. doc, I'm from buffalo so it's of special interest around here. We watched the o.j. series with Cuba Gooding Jr and liked that. Maybe we'll start the documentary this wknd.

Yesterday we went out for dinner for my mom's bday. Today DH and I are going to go to the farmers market in a little bit. Later on DH has to work so I think I might go to an outdoor Barre/yoga class by the water it's around sunset so I thought it would be pretty and calming. Tomorrow we are having our parents over for Fathers Day. DH's parents are moving to Tennesee at the end of the month so it's our last chance to see them before they move.
I'm 14 dpo today, got a BFN on 12 dpo so i expecting AF to arrive at any time. Feeling crampy, exhausted and I guess just mentally phsically drained from all of this. We started trying over a year ago and I still can't believe I'm in the exact same position. Anyways, trying to stay busy this wknd to distract myself. Hope everyone is having a good wknd!

  • Happy Friday all! trying to stay positive, but like my others posts said - it's been a really rough week dealing with others pregnancies. DH's bday is on Sunday but he's a little bummed its on Father's Day but I have a bunch of fun things planned for us.

  • Hi all. I wasn't feeling well on Friday at all and had to finish packing and today was the big move so I haven't been Bumping much!

Well today was stressful and I'm exhausted but we're basically "moved" so yay.

My biological father died when I was three months old and my stepdad (who was basically my dad) died almost eight years ago from cancer, so Father's Day is a tough one for me. But since my stepdad died I've been doing the Father's Day run as a way to honor them and find some positive in the day. My (9yr old) nephew does it with me, which is always fun :) DH was supposed to come along but now he wants to get more work done/arrange things at the new house because he leaves Monday for 5 days. So that's a bit of a bummer but oh well.

Thinking of all of you and hoping for some BFPs from our Father's Day testers!!! <3
  • Thanks for asking =) I've had a busy weekend so far. My husband and I went to a Toledo Mud Hens (a minor league affiliate for the Detroit Tigers) game last night. Somehow, by some divine intervention, we found last minute front row seats/aisle seats. It was a lot of fun. Today we went to Greenfield Village (an outdoor museum thing built by Henry Ford in the Detroit area) for their annual classic car weekend "Motor Muster". It was 90, so I got a little sunburned, but it was still really cool to see all of the old cars.

I've been feel a little crampy, so I hope that's a good sign that AF is on her way. I've also been really crabby about Father's Day. I'm not really looking forward to it since I feel like I let down my husband by not allowing him to have one this year. :(
