Some Bleeding? Normal or no?

Warning....TMI post and possibly sensitive for some. I'm 7 weeks and DH and I had sex and there was some blood after? Not alot but idk. A medium amount. Everything I've read says if there's no cramping and it stops I'm okay.... but I'm still nervous. Has anyone had this?

Re: Some Bleeding? Normal or no?

  • I have had spotting in different situations in my last pregnancy. It can be normal. I can't say if it normal for sure  is but it's possible. I would always check with your doctor if you are really concerned.

  • Yes if it starts again I'll go in. Thank you for your input. It just feels better knowing it's happened to anyone else and was okay!
  • It happened with one pregnancy and there was no reason found. It happened with another pregnancy and I had a subchorionic hematoma. I was also told I have a friable cervix which causes me to spotafter things like a pap. I hope you don't spot anymore.
  • I had a lot with DD and mine was a SCH also. Hugs. Just keep an eye on it.

     PAIF/SAIF/PAL/SAL welcome!

  • I had quite a few spells of bleeding with my DD. For me, it ended up being okay but I always erred on the side of caution every time and called my OB. It never stops being scary.
  • Even though it can definitely be normal I'd call your OB. If they don't want to see you they won't, but I'd make it their call.
  • same boat as you, but it's more brownish. started immediately after. But I'm not too concerned, if it continues tomorrow I will call. But my OB said that unless I'm soaking a pad an hour don't bother calling, there isn't much that they can do. which is true.
I'm thinking it's just my cervix got irritated. so for now just keeping an eye on it. If it's concerning you, call. even if it's just to ease your mind.

  • I bled several times last pregnancy. I had a polyp near my cervix that they thought may be causing it. Everything turned out just fine, although, it is scary. There isn't anything that can really be done this early, so any trip to the doctor would only result in a scan for reassurance, but that reassurance might be pretty important to you.
