Re: **first trimester check in 6-13-17**

  • @Tulips29 I mentioned the twinges last week and they said that it's okay as long as it's not SUPER painful or accompanied by a fever or bleeding. When I go in for my 9-week next week I'll bring it up again. And I hear you about just a general feeling of yuck. I get these days where I just feel like crap and can barely eat, but it's not really nausea the whole day. I just eat whatever I can and take sips of ginger ale.

  • @Drove2u hoping your results come back A-OK! Baby looks so cute, I'm loving these u/s pics when they already look like actual babies! :smile:

    @dragonfaerie let me know what they tell you next week. I'm hoping it's all good and just part of the whole pregnancy thing. I'm at least glad I have this board and others to share our symptoms and feelings with who can relate, since I can't ask any one my pregnant friends yet.

  • @vssbrm wow how awesome that you got to get a tour and ask some really good questions.
    @NurseTMD85 welcome, and congrats!
    @Griffin5413 how amazing!
    @Drove2u glad you got to see your baby.

    AFM- I've been really nauseous all week, my bff's  this week have been saltines and ginger ale, I've also been really tired. I had another appointment this week where we got to see our babies. Baby A is measuring around 8 weeks, and Baby B is measuring about 10 weeks, both heartbeats were 176. I go back next week and then my OB appointment is in about 2 weeks. Baby B is starting to look like an actual baby and Baby A is getting there. Their printer ran out of paper as we were doing the u/s and as I was heading out I forgot to go back and get the pics.

    A few weeks ago I had asked my nurse about the twinges and pokes and what not that I have been feeling. She said it's perfectly normal. And I'm thinking that since so many of us have been experiencing the same thing, it must be common!

  • Loving all the sono pictures!! :heart:
    are you ladies finding out what you're having? Or keeping it a surprise?

    I have my appointment tomorrow. We are hoping to see a yolk and a fetal pole this week!!! Fingers crossed. I'm still so early, yet I feel like I've been in my doctors office 100 times already lol

    No bleeding the last few days so hopefully that's a good sign. I'm on the PIO shots now rather than the inserts. I was SO irritated from the inserts so I'm happy to be off them, I honestly think it may have caused some of the bleeding. She was pushing and probing with that u/s and I was in pain while she was doing it- so I'm hoping treat the bleeding was just a result of the discomfort I was feeling in the office. My butt muscle is super sore today from my shot last night, but I will gladly take that pain over bleeding :smile:
    praying for a good visit tomorrow!

  • I was kind of disappointed at my first ob appointment at 10 weeks they did not do an ultrasound. I did get recommended for high risk Doctor. I have first appointment with them on July 1 and that's when harmony test will be done. They said blood tests are hard to figure out the sex.

    Love seeing king all the ultrasound pics as well.

  •  Really @ultratomato ??
    Blood tests are hard to figure out  the sex?! I though that was the easiest and most accurate? Hmm...
    Sorry they didn't give you a sono, that was kinda strange!!

  • ultratomato - my ob told me that if they do the NIPT (Noninvasive Prenatal testing) bloodwork test it shows the risk for genetic disorders. The test also looks at the baby's Rh blood type and gender and she said its pretty much as accurate as PGS.
