I'm at a loss this year for DH. Last year, we made a stepping stone for him for the garden with DDs handprints. Maybe we will make another one. He is not really into the whole gift thing because he is frugal and hates spending money, especially when it is on him.

Honestly, probably not. Now that our family is growing we need a bigger vehicle and every penny is being saved for that now. I will probably just cook his favorite dinner. To be fair, my birthday is this week and we aren't doing anything for that either.

That's another expense I see in our near future as well! We both have tiny cars that are slowly giving up on us.

DH is so down for a van. I haven't taken the plunge yet! I really wanted a larger SUV but he is dead set on the mini van life. Haha!

@fourPsinapod @Babymakes5! Yeah my first car was a Honda Odyssey and I loved it. I've definitely got my eye on one haha

If the day comes, that is the kind we will get as well. As far as vans go, I do like those. Lol!

I thought Father's Day was last weekend so I already gave Hubby his gift.

I made a professional photo book (mpix) telling the story with DS#1 as the narrator about how we met, our engagement, our wedding, the pregnancy bump growth, delivery room, and photos of hubby and DS#1 at various stages over the last year. It had lots of inside jokes and mostly pictures of hubby and DS#1. First page had a beautiful black and white photo from our newborn shoot of hubby and the baby in the palms of his hands and then the text said something like: This is my Papa! He is quite awesome! The Greatest Dad the Best! - which comes from one of the books we read to the little one. Most of it is silly - it has all these professional photos but then the text says stuff like: After they got married, Daddy didn't want to go clubbing anymore because he didn't want to take sand to the beach, so he knocked mama up! Hehehe (FYI clubbing has been over for a while........another decade another era...)

If the day comes, that is the kind we will get as well. As far as vans go, I do like those. Lol!

I have a dodge grand caravan and I love it. Granted, it has had some issues, which the van is known for. Luckily H and I are car buffs and car tear her down and rebuild her so we don't need to worry about mechanics costs. All in all though, #minivanlife 4 lyfe

We are hosting both sets of parents for dinner on Saturday night. Sunday we are spending the day as a family and will grill out. Maybe take DD to the park or pool during the day.

ugh this is a doubly whammy for me because it's DHs birthday saturday then fathers day. He just wanted some shoes, but he gets super bummed when you just get him what he asks for.. he's that guy.

Granted, we live within walking distance of pretty much everything we need and have a zipcar membership for the other stuff (yay Boston!), but this is what I'm saving up for.

Since we're both comedy people and will be getting through the hard parts with hefty doses of humor, I'm getting him a copy of Go the F... to Sleep. He's familiar with it, but definitely needs his own.

we are not doing anything. I have to work, so DH gets to spend the day with DS. lucky him.Plus we don't do anything for father's day or mother's day. We rather save the money for other things
