Inverted Nipple Club

These things are a bitch for BFing. I EBFed my second son for 15 months and used a nipple shield the entire time. I'm determined to not get stuck with them again unless absolutely necessary. SO, I've started my research already.

Avent Niplettes, ya'll. These things are new but I'm trying them. Anyone other 2nd (3rd, etc) time mamas have experience with this or with overcoming inverted nipples and BFing? This is literally the only thing that I worry about. LOL. #priorities

Re: Inverted Nipple Club

  • I have one inverted nipped. With my first daughter I used a nipped shield for awhile but then she was able to latch without it. When my second daughter came along it seemed she had a much easier time with it. I never used a sheild with her. The lactation consultant said that baby #1 pulls it out so it's normally easier the second time around.

Maybe I'll not have an issue with this third baby? I only nursed my first born for about 5 weeks before switching to a hypoallergenic formula b/c of reflux. *fingers crossed*
