Thick lining on CD 4?

Hey y'all,

I had my baseline ultrasound on Monday and had a strange experience. No cysts or anything, but my uterine lining was over 6 mm at CD 4, which my RE said is unusually thick. So much so that she had me get lab work for a beta even though I'd been bleeding for 4 days. Lab work was a BFN (which I expected) but I haven't been bleeding much since then. My periods usually last 5-6 days and since day 4, I've been just spotting.

Anyone have experience with this? Anything I should worry about?

Re: Thick lining on CD 4?

  • Hi yes i always have a thick lining my re said it could just be i have a thick lining or that its not my real period im like then what is it haha but it all turned out ok

  • I have had this a few times (once was a chemical pregnancy so my lining took longer to go) and once was just because it was a bit early (CD3) and my periods are light but long. I don't bleed much, but my lining is reabsorbed really well. (It's a thing and not considered problematic.) FX everything is normal by your next u/s!
